Hi guys! Dorota Palicka, international nail artist and educator here. And today we are
gonna be playing with some transfer foil nail art. Have a little bit of it in here.
I love when we connect different techniques to achieve fantastic nail art. So let's start!
This design was so much fun to do it and believe guys or not we have lost the video we record. So
I'm just gonna recreate it again. And the color we have used for it is 293.
It does happen sometimes so it just shows you sometimes life is not easy but the design is
very easy. And the main idea about it is to grab some colors and I have choose the one from Disco
Darling which was the color number 293. What I'm doing here is I'm just painting like the most
simple ever leaf shapes. You can actually don't bother about like a much of a detail
as long as the shape is there because we are gonna cover it with lots of different things
and it is not gonna be 100% visible. So as long as you kind of paint some sort of leaf shape and
as you can see it like they are absolutely not perfect leaves. And then cook it. I will do it
three tips just so it's kind of give you also an idea of how long it might take on the client as
well. And I would call it like I'm super fast design. Plus on the three tips I'm gonna have
really nice collection on the other tips too. So you can see it I'm grouping them in two or three
leaves and on some of them is more on some of them is less. And I choose the watercolor brush
just because you can see it I'm kind of almost doing it with two strokes which is speeding up my
work so much. So two moves of the brush and this way we have created our background. Okay next step
so the first tip is ready and we are gonna add some cat eye into it. The cat eyes I'm using are
a bit see-through. This one is a 286 and all the products I use are available on our website. We do
post international so yes guys those of you who are in United States we do shipped out to you as
well. And this actually comes pretty fast so this is a wee bonus of it as well. When you distribute
the cat eye gel polish make sure you kind of make it nice and even because it's a magnetic
magnetic gel polish. It looks almost like same like a metallics and for that reason it can leave
those kind of streaks and lines. I like to go always two times over my design to make an effect
really nice and strong. As you can see it is really intense and I kind of want to do it to
don't hide completely the leaves I have painted so at some angles they are gonna be visible.
Okay do it exactly same on the other two and then on this one as well. See I'm gonna actually
show you on this one what I mean by those lines so I'm trying to always pull them one direction
you don't want to go like that because you can actually see it especially with any kind of
gel polishes which looks metallic. Okay touch up on this one and then let's create this
cat eye effect. So again I'm coming up from one side you can see I have moved the particles coming
up from the other side. I have moved those particles coming in from underneath of my tip
and then twisting my magnet so the things are showing up. Do the same on the top but this time
I'm twisting the magnet like this and I get pretty nice effect but if you go second time
you are gonna make it even stronger. See it is much stronger. Cook it. This technique is
sometimes quite hard for a beginner. I find it like the girls which you know I tend to teach
when they starting off with the cat eyes the basic designs they can do it like a
wee straight line but when it comes to those kind of velvety look it can be quite difficult.
So do not rush doing your design like you want to hold that magnet there. Now when my tips are
cooking I'm gonna grab some UV cleanser to remove the inhibition layer because we are gonna wrap
some chrome over it and for this cat eyes this technique works perfect because they are like a
glass and the cat eye I'm gonna use for a change is an angel cat eye angel chrome not a cat eye.
I'm gonna use it over the cat eye so just bring it in and it has this orange hint can you see it.
Now let's rub it in and the cat eye is gonna be still visible from underneath but we are gonna
have this beautiful orangey pink hint to it like look at this you can see it how the lights reflect
over it so pretty. Okay grab the next tip again UV cleanser to remove this inhibition layer
over the inhibition layer it wouldn't be this shiny that's why we need to remove it because
always for the chromes we want to work with no wipe products but this one is a kind of like a
bit of mixture it's a bit of product with the inhibition layer because it has this inhibition
layer but once we wipe it it's pretty nice and dry so it can catch the chromes so just time saver
and again clean this one so I'm just gonna repeat my product you could also like the way I'm doing
because it's three tips it gives you a time to do it one tip at the same time and I think that
will be pretty awesome for those of you who are just playing with the nail art and starting you
will have enough time to complete your designs and just doing them with me really like put a video on
and then have some some fun on your new desk once we have completed the step we are gonna go for a
transfer foil gel glue and you want to cover let me get rid of the magnet so it's not gonna catch
anything what you want to do it is you want to cover the entire design and awesome stuff about
that this is gonna protect your chrome from coming off plus we will be able to transfer some transfer
foil over it 30 seconds cure so the cat eyes I have cured 60 seconds and the transfer foil gel
glue is gonna be 30 seconds cure I have also retouched my tip to make sure it doesn't move
because we are gonna go for a full coverage of the transfer foil which can be more tricky
and then the last one so again making sure it's nice and sturdy if you're working on those tip
holders and you want to transfer a foil sometimes my suggestion would be swap to something different
so it's not it's gonna make your life easier because if you press on this one the tip can
just fly everywhere okay this one is cooking I think this one was first I hope at least
and I have found this transfer foil but I also had that one as well the idea about it is guys
that you actually pick the transfer foil which is not a full coverage so you can see there is
some clear spaces in there because we want to still be able to see the pattern like which we
have created I mean otherwise what would be a point of playing with all those cat eyes and
chromes so I'm just cutting a small piece and then we are gonna transfer it okay so just place it
there and drop this in sorry losing my voice I want to show you also something as well so like
the tip has the foil has almost bended in here I will be able actually to straighten it up on
this tip and it's a shame because the other tips are more curved so now I'm too late on this one
but I will show you on the other one what I'm doing in that case if someone has a really curved
nails you need to kind of release I might be able to show you on this one as well you need to kind
of release the foil a little bit and then reapply it to get rid of that bend okay you can see it
it's kind of straightening more release reapply it just to get rid of those bends
it is pretty crucial for the designs which got very clear patterns on them okay so let's try it
again another way of doing it is going on the side first wrap the side and you can yeah this
one is bending perfectly which is awesome because I can show you that I make sure I wrap this side
and then I'm start releasing this side and at the same time pressing down the other side
okay so this side is released and now it is going to be easier for me to get rid of this
bends I'm gonna show you that can you see it they smoothed it out because I have released
this foil a little bit so it's a really great tip for those of you who is just
like really struggling with the foils and or have a client which has very curved nails
so release reapply it release to reapply it there we are we've got another one let's do the last one
there we are but you could also I'm gonna show you as well so let me grab the one which is not
what else you could do it like with those patterns because the flower pattern is there
you could actually pick the patterns you want so I'm just gonna wrap this one in
can you see the leaf is still visible from underneath of that flower and then just pull it
okay so you're just transferring one flower on a specific place then go and do it another one
so let's do it here maybe those see this is what I mean when you don't want your tips to fly
just rub it in I did did the rubbing really gently pull it off and then let's transfer
more of it so I want those ones I want those orange in it as well there we are wrap this in
and then pull it perfect time for a top coat so high shine no wipe honestly doing so is on the
client it's so much easier but look at this like I mean this is the leaf which we have painted here
here here and here is blending with this design just perfectly so apply high shine no wipe and
also you can see the chrome is starting reflecting even stronger and it becomes much shinier
and then give it 60 seconds cure do the same in here so cover the entire design
and I am really fussy when it comes to the top coat and quite often you would see me going like
this and this is to check how my light is reflecting on the top coat to find any imperfections
because we spend all this time to create pretty designs and then you apply the top coat which has
a dust particle or which is applied uneven and that will just destroy all your hard work
okay so kind see I've got dust particle in there okay cook it and when my tips are curing we are
gonna bring in a touch of the french gel into our design so I'm just grabbing a touch of the french
gel the reason for it is I want to do some sugaring and I would be scared to do it only
with the gel polish because gel polish has inhibition layer plus gel polish is not designed
to be applied on top of the top coat and applied without of top coat but the french gel can be used
without of top coat and this is the fantastic thing about it because it's going to last I
actually have it on my nails as well they are maybe two weeks now no week oh gosh I don't know
times fly I can see the dots on top of it they that's a french gel and I'm using my hands all
the time like I do gardening dishes and everything and it's not affected it's not gonna come off
so this is exactly the same technique I use it on my nails just a different color white and here we
are gonna go for pink and sugaring so I'm re-inspecting my tip and I think those placement
is pretty crucial as well because you don't want to hide too much of those nice patterns you have
done but you want to give those extra dimension to it so we already have got some layers like
you know the design part which is underneath then the one which is on top of it
like in the middle and now I'm just painting the the last parts so adding those
couple tiny leaves again keeping the shapes very simple so basically anyone could do it
now let's do one more in here and then I'm gonna squeeze in another one in there
and some in here you can extend them change the shape of it and they blend just beautifully
then grab some sugar glitter and sprinkle over it okay give it 60 seconds cure you want to make
sure things are really nicely cured and our glitter is not gonna stick into the top coat
because top coat is a no wipe top coat and it has been already cured it is only taking
our gel polish I'm gonna hide this petal because I'm not happy how it turned out
so this is another idea even if the things do not turn out the way you want it you can just
kind of cover them and I'm always fixing my designs on the go so I'm never never worried
um this is a great tip I can give you guys as well whenever you do client do not stress do
not panic like you can always take off the design if you don't like something just wipe it off on
front of the client and be very confident at it like don't cry over it just do it again I
keep doing it and that's changed my life so much I because I'm confident at it
it's not a big deal like I think a bigger deal would be to leave that part of the design which
you didn't like and pretend it is okay yeah so if you don't like it wipe it off and just repaint it
sometimes in the worst case scenario like I actually had it happen to me as well
that I had to redo the design like maybe three times and so obviously obviously we just started
laughing with the client and I says like you know there is no way I'm gonna leave that this way
because I am so fussy so this way you kind of assure the clients as well that you do really
care about the end results and doesn't matter how much experience you've got you just want to leave
them with them nice service and and beautiful news at the end maybe are the last touches on
this one let me know if that this happened to you as well that you have to take off a redesign and
start over this is actually a same thing like with recording this video we are just starting over
because the the other one didn't work out we had a new microphones and something happened to them
we just kind of still trying to learn and figure it out the settings
so the voice wasn't the best in it and we had to just re-record it for you but I thought this
video will be pretty useful and it would be a shame to waste it now I'm just removing the sugar
glitter and I will show you those ones which we have created on a separate piece here
I can see it they are exactly they are exactly the same
same design same idea so clean this one off just on different tips but it also shows actually to
be honest I prefer I think they look nicer in this version on those tips than they did on the
other ones what you think guys actually tell me in the comments below as well do you think they
they do really look better on this one or it is an eye optical illusion because this
display is so nice and blaney and not damaged in this display it's like a million years old
with lost pearl like kind of stuff which I cannot clean it off so maybe that's that's why
no I think it's a shape shape of the nails I prefer the coffin shape as well
but for displaying the new art I think this one is perfect but look at those cat eye moving about
underneath and the different layers of the design which we have created anyway we both sending you
huge glittery hugs with Patrick and think of us as well because as I say we're recording this
video second time just for you guys big kisses love and glittery hack hugs bye
