Lego The Lego Van 60500 review

In 2024 lego released the lego delivery truck and this year in 2026 we have the lego van. This is set number 60500. As you can see it has a standard lego city box with the age rating on the side on the left hand side under the lego city logo the set number name and the amount of pieces included. If you turn the set to the back just like this you have more images. In the top right corner you do have the showing of the pallet being taken in and out of the truck. Underneath that you do have the two minifigures unloading it and then the main image on the back is the lego truck driving with the sets falling out the back and then you have the large lego truck on the bridge above it. When first opening this set up what do you get included? So including this set you have three numbered bags you also do get one loose piece which I will just show you at the bottom here. You can just see that long grey piece that is a loose piece included in this set and of course you do get the instruction manual. So that is everything you get when you open up this box. Next up I did want to start by talking about the minifigures. As you can see you do get two minifigures included in the set and they do have some accessories with them. Starting off with this one here this is the guy minifigure in this set as you can see he's got a nice black hair piece and a black head and black beard even. If you take the hair off you see it's only got the one face printed. However I think it's a really nice looking minifigure as you can see he's got his red mug. I'm going to move the mug around so you can see the torso. You can see he's got a standard jacket and a little coat piece and the brown legs on him are just standard brown. So next of all if we move to this minifigure here. This is the second minifigure as you can see he's got a little trolley for the Lego sets. I'll just take that away from my hand. You can see she's got a nice little torso which is the same as the male one. One cool thing about this minifigure is it does have a hearing aid and like the other one it does only have the one face printing. Overall it just has some solid blue legs but for a small set of this scale I do think it's some solid minifigures with some nice accessories included. Next up I would actually like to talk about the build included in this set. As you can see it's a nice little van build. I wanted to start off by looking at the side here as you can see it's got the Lego logo and this brick here. It is mirrored on this side as well but both these pieces are printed so there's no stickers included in this set. You can also open the back by opening up this side piece here or you do have the option to open the back doors. Just get one of them open, there you are. So you can see you have multiple ways in which you can open the set up. Looking inside though I'm not 100% sure if you can see but on the back of the cab there you can see there is some detail the spanner being hung up on the wall and there's some things looking like lights. You do also get this included which is quite similar to the Lego truck. I just dropped it there. As you can see it's a pallet with some Lego sets on. They are all printed pieces as well but I think it's a nice addition to this set. You can also remove this piece here to have a look at the cab. I'll just show you inside there as you can see it's got a printed dashboard, a place for the minifigures to sit but overall I do think it's a nice little compact set with some cool accessories included and it's nice to see that Lego went with the all printed option. I'm just going to roll away. There we are. It's nice to see Lego went with all printed pieces instead of stickers. Overall I think it is a really solid set. In the UK this set costs £24.99, in the US it costs £29.99 and in Europe it also costs £29.99. With 276 pieces included this does give the set a price per piece of £0.09 which is a pretty good deal even if you consider that you have printed pieces and no stickers. I think that overall makes the deal a bit better for you. So if I had to give this set a skill level out of 10 what would I give it? So personally for me I'll give this set a 3 out of 10 on skill. As overall there's not that many hard steps and with all the pieces being printed there isn't no difficulty in placing stickers. But overall I would say the only hard part is if you look at here you do have technic pins to connect the van at the top, the doors on the side even. But overall it's not a hard step it's just a different type of Lego. But doing this set is quite easy overall. So I think 3 out of 10 is a fitting rating. But overall it doesn't take away from the set as it's still a really nice looking set. So for an overall rating out of 10 what would I give this set? So personally I'll give this set a 5 out of 10. This isn't taking anything away from the set but I do think the Lego truck is just better as I do have that in my collection as well. But I do think this is a nice little counterpart as if you didn't have the Lego truck this would be a perfect set for you. But I do think it's just if you're going to buy one of the two you'd buy the truck and not the van. But I do like this set even though I'll just give it some criticism as it is a really nice little set and can fit in any Lego city. It is nice to have printed pieces and the two minifigures even the pallet in the back looks really good. But overall I think it's a really nice looking van build and a really good set overall. But I do just think the Lego truck has sort of already took the little niche that this set has. But this isn't taking anything away from the set as I still do love it. But I just I like the truck more if you get what I mean. But anyway that was my review of the Lego van being set number 60500. If you did pick this set up let me know what you think of it down in the comments below. But anyway that is all for today and I'll see you in the next one.
