Hey guys, welcome back or welcome to my youtube channel. My name is Agla and I am obviously
talking all things fragrance, sometimes some beauty bits and bobs and actually lately I've
been regaining my love for the beauty world as well. I have ordered so many new makeup
products, I can't wait to try them all. I think a lot of you actually don't know this
but I used to be a makeup artist, real life makeup artist with real life clients so naturally
I started creating content online and it was all about beauty bits and bobs. Anyway I would
love to talk about my tea fragrances today because tea is something that I, I don't know,
I find a lot of calmness in tea fragrances. I wouldn't say these are all necessarily smelling
like tea because some of them I think just have this fantasy tea note and the whole story
about it is more about the rituals and maybe Japanese culture or meditative aura and vibe
but I do have some, how they say, bangers. I do have bangers, tea bangers. Bangers. What
actually made me think of this topic is my newest fragrance that just changed my life.
Every single fragrance that I thought smells like tea, doesn't smell like tea. Because
within the first sniff I was just mesmerized and it also brought quite a lot of memories
for me. I'm not gonna be that person who teases you and I'm going to talk about this fragrance
straight away. This is Tea Service by Chasing Scents. My mouth dropped on the floor when
I smelled this. Couple days ago I had this craving to go to more of a indie perfume boutique
because I realized how actually not exclusive all those mass produced niche fragrances boutiques
are. If you want to smell something else, just go to those smaller boutiques where they
have really exclusive independent brands. You leave that boutique as a different person
because I certainly did. I had such a good time and I'm so happy that here in Vilnius
where I live, we have this small boutique called Nosy and they have Joram Studio, Chasing
Scents, Sarah Baker, Maya Nia, I think that's how you pronounce it, Criminal Elements. The
bathroom behind and the founder behind this brand is Sandy Wong and she's actually a scientist
and she uses very precise techniques to distill the actual tea, actual oolong tea, actual pu-erh
tea. That's why her fragrances are so realistic and I know that because I used to work in a
Michelin star Asian fusion Chinese restaurant in London back in the day and in the mornings
we would prep tea station for the day and we would unpack those pressed bricks of true real
aromatic Chinese tea. You would open the brick and would get that burst of the most beautiful
aromatic intense tea scent. This is everything I want in my tea fragrance. It is so so realistic.
It has a very strong jasmine and oolong tea accord. The jasmine in here reminds me of
the jasmine bush that I used to spend a lot of time when I was a kid in my grandma's garden.
You also have some osmanthus, goji berries. I think peach in here just gives that
fuzziness and fluffiness. I don't necessarily smell peach. I wore this fragrance a couple of
days in a row already and all I can say that it just makes me feel fantastic. This is such
an incredible creation. I just came back from Paris where I obviously visited some fragrance
stores and boutiques and I got my dream Neroli fragrance. Now this Neroli fragrance is accompanied
by this beautiful smoky tea accord which doesn't make it a tea fragrance because it's still more
of a Neroli scent but that tea just gives a very smooth and velvety dry down. It makes this
fragrance very elegant and sophisticated and this fragrance is Neroli Outre Noir by Guerlain. I also
got it engraved on the front it says Eglé and on the back it says Apai. This fragrance is absolutely
mesmerizing. It is very me. I feel so good in my skin wearing this fragrance as well. It has quite
a good lasting power. The Neroli in here is more of a floral Neroli. It's not that sharp bitter
green one which sometimes can smell like toilet freshener. So many Neroli fragrances smell very
sharp. This one obviously carries the Guerlain heritage and style. Super well balanced. I think
Delphine Yelke is such a great perfumer and she does wonderful things for Guerlain. I love so many
of her creations. My next purchase from Guerlain is going to be Musque Outre Blanc. That's 100%.
I have a mini sample that I got in Paris also when I was buying this fragrance. I keep savoring it as
well but that fragrance is stunning. Also very me. Together with Tea Service, Neroli Outre Noir are my
top additions to my fragrance collection this year already. Another citrusy fragrance that is
very invigorating and bright but still keeps that tea accord quite prominent is obviously
Oolong Cha by Nishane. This is one of my favorite citrusy fragrances in general but you can still
smell that fresher version of Oolong. I know some people say that Neroli Outre Noir is quite similar
to Oolong Cha so I'm here to say that perhaps the opening, that slight green citrusy bitterness
is what makes them a little bit similar at first but then they go on their separate ways because
Oolong Cha is way more figgy. When you smell them side by side, Oolong Cha is way more almost like
nutty, figgy and green. As I said, one of those fragrances that tea accord is quite pronounced but
it's just more fresh. Let's say like iced tea. Not the warm cup of tea but more like iced tea. Longevity
and projection of this fragrance is impeccable. I get so many compliments wearing it. It is just
as strong as let's say Acqua di Parma Buongiorno, one of the most lasting citrusy fragrances.
Yeah, more fruity, more figgy, more lemony, iced tea kind of version that feels very meditative
and spa-like. Another fragrance that gives iced tea vibes in the summer in the slush green garden
is 003 by Bon Parfum. Now there's no tea accord listed but I think the combination of
citruses like yuzu and bergamot, neroli, jasmine, vetiver just gives that tea vibe. It almost feels
like if you combine all of these notes and make it into accord, you could name it a tea fragrance
at least to me. It almost feels like you can actually smell those tannins in the tea. You know
when you leave your tea to brew for a bit too long and it gets slightly bitter and tannic, you can
almost feel this quality in this scent. This is so summer appropriate, very unisex. Both me and my
husband wear this fragrance with such joy. It is such an easy reach for every day, especially if
you have to go to the office in summer and you just want to feel easy, breezy, slightly floral,
citrusy, exactly that. Another scent that is not a tea scent and it also doesn't have any tea
accords, but those who love jasmine teas will tell you that this smells like Vietnamese jasmine
green tea. This is Do Son by Diptyque. This is the EDT and it definitely does smell like jasmine
green tea, perhaps more of the lighter and solar version. As you can tell, this fragrance is very
much loved by me because the jasmine in here is, now that I have this fragrance, quite similar
in both of these scents. And this jasmine accord in Do Son and Tea Saves, it is the exact one that
I love. I cannot resist this jasmine accord, hence why I love these fragrances so much.
In fact, I think I might love jasmine more than tuberose. Yeah, this is one of those fragrances
to me that I will always have in my collection, no matter what. It is definitely more floral, but
wow, I do get that tea. I love this so much. You know when you have those specialty coffee beans
like Catura or Pache that you can buy and make your special cup of coffee, usually these coffee
beans have very unique scent and flavor accords. So one coffee smells like chocolate, caramel, and nuts,
the other one smells like jasmine, florals, and stone fruits. If this had the similar direction
and Do Son would be some sort of tea, it would be described as one that has flavors and scents of
rose and white florals, perhaps a little earthy and citrusy. I have a very green and watery and
lush and foresty fragrance that smells like some kind of creature that lives in this damp green
forest on the water, and this fragrance is Swim by Gabar. I absolutely love this scent because
I don't have anything like this in my collection. It opens in such a green but beautiful way. It's
not like freshly cut grass, it's more like some kind of special and unknown flower or plant in the
forest. I would say if you test this fragrance, it is super important to spray on your skin because
it develops slightly different warmer, which makes it more cozy because the greenness, if you spray
it on the paper, can scare you. Yeah, but now everything is softening. There's also a lot of
green fig that is definitely not ripe. If you see or if you ever saw figs growing, you know when it is
green and when it is ripe. It's even different in color, so you have that green fig. Perhaps it's
leaves. If you take the fig leaf and rub it in between your palms and smell it, this is what you
will smell. And then the magic happens after let's say 10 minutes in the dry down, when it becomes
more creamy and more warm. I think you have some tonka bean, some musk. I sprayed it on the skin
because I really wanted to get the real effect. Just because there's lots of galbanum, the green
tea accord is a bit lost at first, but then it blooms after 5 or 10 minutes. It's not that you're
going to smell the green tea in a very strong way. It just gives that nice slightly tannic, maybe a
little bit bitter, slightly sweet company I would say. If I had a boutique hotel, probably this is
how it would smell like. Maybe not that strong, not that green, but something into that direction
because it just makes you feel like you are somewhere else. You are not at home, you are
somewhere in the forest or you are that water, forest creature. It just picks something in my
brain that is very different and I truly appreciate it. Two of the Florieco fragrances. I love Florieco.
I just, I have this brand close to my heart. When I was traveling in Paris, they invited me to visit
their only one boutique in the world, in Paris obviously, and I had such a good time. This little
tea ceremony, smelling scents and getting to know more about each scent and the house itself
was truly special. I got to pick a fragrance. That fragrance was, is Between Two Trees. Now, not a lot
of people talk about it. In fact, I think I've never seen anyone talking about it. But there was
just something that I could not stop sniffing. I was coming back to it and coming back to it.
This is the kind of tea fragrance that you wear to a restaurant in the evening, Japanese high-end
luxury restaurant, dim warm lights, that kind of aura. This is the evening fragrance for me. Definitely
not invigorating, meditative morning fragrance. I mean, for some it could be, but for me, it opens
in this sweet, aromatic, and slightly citrus-essency way. It's not like citrus zest or citrus juice. It's
more like deeper, intenser citrus essence, citrus oil. And the leather shines through. There's some
leather in the base, but it's not like the new leather jacket or new leather back. For me, it's
more velvety and smooth, very clean leather, but you can definitely smell that. There's something in
this fragrance that is still slightly lively. It is not going to that heavy, heavy fragrance, tea
fragrance direction. There's maté tea, which gives that almost roasted coziness. I don't know, it's so
hard to explain how this fragrance smells like, because it is very unisex, very genderless, so I
cannot use words like it's floral and invigorating or masculine and heavy, because it's neither. It's not
heavy and dense, but it's not zingy and floral. It's very well balanced and beautiful, but as I said,
that leather accord might not be for everyone, because even though it's not heavy leather jacket
leather, it's still there. Nonetheless, I'm very happy I have this in my collection, because I find
it so beautiful, and also what I found, this layers perfectly with other citrusy tea-like
fragrances, if you want to amp it up for the evening. Now, one umbrella for two has, and Genmaicha
Tea Accord. This tea smells like popcorn to me, and if you don't know this tea, you have never ever
smelled it, you will not notice it in this fragrance, but when I first smelled it, even now, I really do
smell that little bit of roasted, just popped popcorn vibe, accord. It is very sweet and fruity
and happy fragrance, very cozy, it puts a smile on your face, it is slightly woody, there's some vanilla,
some musk, overall just a fun and very positive scent. The iconic fragrance, we can all agree on
that. Bois Belize Intense by Parfait du Nicolai. This is the fragrance that smells slightly mystic,
almost if you are walking through the woods, the forest, at 6 or 5 a.m in the morning, the sun is
still not up, but you are drinking your maté tea, and there are lots of roses growing from the trees.
It is very woody, slightly spicy, and there is a lot of osmanthus. Why do I mention those woods when
I talk about Bois Belize Intense? Because it is super woody. This is a woody tea fragrance, so perhaps
the tea is not the main character, it's more like that rose, woods, and osmanthus. You also have that
slight zing that keeps this fragrance more lively as well, and it doesn't lean to that heavy, woody,
spicy direction. Rose is quite prominent as well, but it's not the vintage rose to my nose. It is
on the fresher side, but I would say it's more of the red rose that would grow from the
gayak tree. The kind of fragrance that you can wear throughout the whole year, because it is so
well composed, you have equal parts of woods, equal parts of spices, equal parts of zinginess,
just very well balanced. I love it, it gets me compliments, my husband compliments me all the time,
I get compliments from the people around me, so elegant, but also very attractive. Honestly guys,
there's something about those tea fragrances that keep me in this olfactive world, and keep me
interested in it. This is it for the video, I hope you enjoyed, I hope you got inspired. Let me know
your favorite tea scents, because to me currently, there's nothing better than this, and the other
fragrances from this brand, I have to have them, I have to have them. I think there's one called
rain tea. Anyway, let me know your favorites. Don't forget to subscribe, you can also follow me on
