Hello and welcome to a new German vlog.
I'm Elio, I'm a language teacher, and today I'm taking you through my day.
And hopefully you can learn German completely relaxed while doing so.
I have today off.
I'm not working today, and I'm just rushing off.
The leap. Jumping. Jumping.
I'm off running.
That means I'm going out now and meeting a friend outside.
Here we go. I'm on the move.
Hi Ela.
Hello.
How are you doing?
Good. I'm doing well.
Nice. What did you do today then?
Today I had a day off.
We went for a walk in the sun and did a bit of shopping.
and we drank coffee, and now we're sitting here on the bench.
We are sitting here on one, so on a place.
In a square. At a square.
What would you say?
I would say, on a square.
In a square. Yes.
And over there, what's that over there?
There is a bookcase standing at the back.
A bookshelf. Shall we go there?
Yes, gladly.
You, can you explain what a bookshelf is?
Yes, a bookshelf is usually located somewhere indoors or on the street.
There are usually several in a city, and all people can place books there.
the ones they have sorted out and no longer read or need.
And then one can just take them along like that.
And if one also happens to have a book that one is sorting out,
and no longer needed, and I would like to give away
Then one can reset it here, and thus there's always such an exchange here.
And everyone can freely choose one book or even several there.
Do you often browse bookshops?
Most often, when I pass by, I glance inside once.
whether I find something that appeals to me or touches me.
And you?
Yes, I actually do look into bookshelves regularly as well.
I've also already found some really good books, partially.
Yes, me too.
I'm home again.
It was very nice with Ela.
We were really out and about for a long time.
I'm making myself a cup of tea right now and will watch a series.
I'm currently watching Love and Anarchy.
It's a series, a Swedish series on Netflix, and I find it quite funny.
Today I'm watching an episode in Portuguese.
As you may know, I'm currently trying to regularly integrate Portuguese into my daily routine.
And today it's just watching an episode in Portuguese.
And I'm watching the series with FluentU.
FluentU is a platform where you can watch series, videos,
all the possible content available for language learning that you can use.
With the Chrome extension, you can also use services like Netflix or YouTube for this purpose.
My favorite feature is the interactive subtitles.
I can simply click on any word and immediately get an explanation and examples, which is extremely practical.
I can also save the new words and review them later using quizzes or small games.
And that really helps in retaining them in the long term.
There is also an AI chat function in the app, and you can actively practice with it.
If you'd like to try this out for learning German or any other language,
Then just click the link in the description.
You can try it for free and will also receive a discount later.
Have fun with it, and I think the water should be ready by now.
I just remembered something very important: I still have some of my nut cake left.
I was in a bakery a while ago with Ela, and we bought some cake.
or rather, I bought a piece of nut cake, and this is what's left of it.
That's not much anymore, but I don't know.
I think Nussecken are something German, but there's probably similar pastry almost everywhere.
Nuts corners are actually triangular, like this corner, yes, and there are nuts inside
And I find nut cakes very delicious.
And suddenly it just occurred to me that I still have some of my nut cake left
And that fits perfectly now.
I have finished watching the episode.
Now I will prepare a salad, prepare my dinner.
It is already quite late, and I wanted to say goodbye and ask a question.
So, there are also bookcases where you live?
Sorry.
Or is there perhaps a similar concept for books, to exchange books?
Please write it very gladly in the comments.
I am very excited, and I find the concept or the bookshelves a very beautiful thing.
And I'd love to take a look sometime and am curious to see what it's like where you live, whether that thing also exists there.
Also likes to tell stories in the comments.
I look forward to the exchange, and I hope this video was helpful for you.
If that's the case and you'd like to support my work and my channel,
Then I'm really looking forward to coffee on buymeacoffee.com
