Bell UH-1H Huey and Bell AH-1F Cobra departing KGRD 4/17/26

After hearing the distinct sound of a Huey flying over, I checked FlightRadar24 and noticed that it was N624HF, the Huey that showed up at KGRD back in 2024 that I missed because I couldn't find my camera in time. Not wanting to wait another two years for it to come around again, I quickly grabbed my almost dead camera and rushed down to the airport. Upon arriving I saw N826HF, an AH-1F Cobra that didn't show up on FR24, right next to it. I noticed that the Huey was being refueled and that pre-flight inspections were being done, so I stood at the fence in the miserable 85 degree heat for over 20 minutes waiting for them to start up. Obviously, they eventually did, and I finally fulfilled my lifelong dream of seeing a Huey.
