And with the atmosphere really building up nicely, we should be in for a terrific contest. It's Argentina up against Portugal. Well, it's a pleasure to be here and I'm anticipating a good game today. The coaching staff have done all they can. Now it's about taking it onto the pitch. The Argentina first team. Nicolás Otamendi plays alongside Cristián Romero in the center of defense and leading the line today is Julián Álvarez. Here's how it looks for Portugal. Nuno Mench plays with Diogo Dalot in the fullback positions. Pedro Neto plays with Rafael Leao out wide. And leading the line today is Cristiano Ronaldo. And there we have it, the first half is underway. Messi, Romero, now with McAllister. Otamendi, Almada, onto McAllister, Álvarez. Oh, moving it nicely. Well, that was all about split, just how sharp he is. That's a great stop. Ronaldo Silva. Nuno Mench, good through ball. Oh, disappointing clearance. Up a disappointing dead end. There it breaks down. Trying to tee it up. Had to time that well and he did. Cristiano Ronaldo. Really good build up, but no end product. Really effective pressure. Can they take it to the next level now? Could be threatening. Able to get a body in the way. Messi, face here on the flank. Beyond or something. Really smart play. Lifts his head, times the pass just right. And all the forward has to do is get on the end of it, which he does so well. It's a really nice finish. So the ball is moving again. Will there be a quick response from Portugal here? There needs to be. Mench. Oh, good use of the ball. Cross into the middle. And the problem not completely solved. But it just pleased her doubts. He won't stop it. Rodrigo de Paul. Now with Vitinha. Well, it could break at pace. Really shows his composure in front of goal, doesn't he? So in business once more. A chance then for the respective managers to address their charges. It is halftime here. Good first half showing by Bruno Fernandes. How would you sum up his performance to this point? Well, what a time for him to score the equalizer. That will have certainly changed the team talk at the break. And I'm sure he'll be looking to take that momentum into the second half. Away they go again. Second half is underway here. He read the situation defensively and did his job. That was excellent timing for you. What a challenge. I thought he was in there. Looked like a goal for sure, didn't it? Ronaldo Silva. Now with Vitinha. Cristiano Ronaldo. Go back with Argentina now. He has teammates around him. Lionel Messi. Chance maybe to use the counter-attacking ability to good effect. Rodrigo de Paul. Molina. Romero. That's a good looking ball. As they kick off again. 2-1 the current state of affairs. Nahuel Molina. In a good position. What can he and his teammates do? Oh, strained every sinew to get there. The manager decides to go to the bench. A bit of a quiet performance from him today. And short it is. Well, that's the end of that for now. Gonzalo Inacio. Now with Vitinha. Rafael Leao. Good passage of play. Well, a touch too heavy there. Yeah, it was nice up to a point and then just lacked that bit of quality, didn't they? Ah, perhaps they can counter from here. And Messi. This is a neat and tidy finish. His movement is great. He finds a yard of space and then it's so composed. So, back on the way. And we really are being treated to a festival of goals in this one. Ronaldo Silva. Pushing for the winner. And credit is due for that good piece of defending. Rodrigo de Paul. On to Vitinha. We will have a couple of additional minutes at the end here. Must take the lead here. Just when they needed it. Yeah, I thought that was it. But the keeper showed real class there. Corner kick played in. Super goalkeeping. Fingertips in this case. Teams are level. And every corner counts at this juncture. Trying to deliver it accurately. Got a bit short with the clearance. Well, able to survive that attacking push. And there's the whistle. All even at the end of 90 minutes here.
