All right, we have got a ton of stuff to get done today.
I have been working all day so far.
I got a video edited and submitted.
I got another previewed and uploaded.
I've got some Instagram content that I need to create for a brand and get that
sent over. Braden has a baseball game tonight, so that's exciting. Um,
I want to get up to the hardware store and get the bead board for the backsplash
in the kitchen.
And I want to try to work on painting these lower cabinets today too.
So lots that I want to get accomplished along with just like the normal
everyday stuff, laundry, whatnot. I have some Amazon returns.
I need to drop off also some Walmart returns.
So I don't know if I'm going to get everything done,
but I am going to try to get as much done as I can because we are leaving for
Cabo on Sunday
and there's just a lot that I have like on my list for this week.
So I wanted to show you guys though,
we actually switched the dog's food.
I've been paying way more attention to what they're eating and what I'm feeding
them. Like really looking at the ingredients. I mean,
the same way that like I focus on what I'm eating, you know,
trying to get in my protein, tracking my macros, all of that stuff for the last,
like year and a half.
Now I've been really focused on my nutrition and we've used other dog food
brands that are great in their own way.
This is the first one that I found that I feel really good about literally every
single ingredient that's in there. This is Sundays for dogs.
It's actually a human grade food for dogs.
Everything in here is just super simple and recognizable, like real meat,
fruits and veggies, which I love.
This is the chicken recipe right here and it's 83% chicken muscle and organs,
7% fruits and vegetables, 10% seeds and grains,
0% fillers or synthetics. It is air dried.
This is what it looks like. So it's different than your normal kibble.
And when it's air dried,
it actually keeps more of the nutrients in there without being overly processed.
And it's super easy.
You just scoop it right out of the small bag and serve it up.
I just feel better knowing exactly what they are eating,
but they are literally a part of our family. They're like our children.
So I want to give them the best that I can.
But if you guys want to try out Sundays for dogs,
I have a link in the description box for you for 50% off your first order.
Okay. I just did my wood filler in the gaps of the butcher block.
So now once that is dry, I can sand it,
stain it, seal it. This is all like pre-finished,
but there's these little tiny gaps and so you can't leave that.
Um, obviously we're not professionals, but we're doing our best here.
So that is one way to do it.
So this is stainable, uh, wood filler.
So I'll just sand that once it's dry. And then I'm,
my mom has a couple of different color stains.
So I'll be able to like stain this light and then like darker.
So it isn't just like a light line right there.
And then I'll be able to seal it with polyurethane.
And then I'm also going to seal these ends here where Donnie cut it.
So, cause that has to be sealed. It can't just be like raw wood in the kitchen.
So I did that.
This is the stainable wood filler right here.
And now I'm going to go up to the hardware store and get some bead board
because I'm going to do,
it's different than this shiplap bead board that I did. It's like the thinner,
you know, closer together lines, but I'm going to start here.
So, um, it's going to start here.
Not, I'm not going to have it be down here.
So I'll just like repair this little part right here.
Um,
and it's going to be about this height and it's going to go all the way on that
wall there. And then I think,
I don't know,
should I do it on that wall or should I just start it here?
I might just start it here and just have this wall be wall and not be bored and
just paint this wheat bread.
I think I might do that and just have no backsplash here.
I'll just repair that and just have this painted. I think I'm going to do that.
Okay. Change of plans. So then that that's just going to be wheat bread there.
And then I'll start the actual backsplash here.
So I don't need to get that much bead board.
That will also save me money cause this would be like two full sheets of bead
board here.
And then I'm going to do a trim piece at the bottom and the top.
And then the bead board is going to be Sherwin Williams retreat.
So these cabinets are different heights.
This one is taller than this one.
So I'm not going to bring the backsplash all the way up to the cabinets.
Otherwise you'll be able to tell that the cabinets are different heights.
We didn't even know that until we started like putting stuff on the cabinets or
on the counters.
Cause you can't really tell when you're just like in here unless you really
look. So I'm not going to bring the backsplash all the way up to either one.
Otherwise you'll be able to tell.
So I'm going to bring it up to like probably here,
like just above the plate covers.
And then yeah,
maybe like here roughly and then there'll be a little trim piece here and then
little trim piece here, sage green.
I'm going to paint this window frame, a windowsill,
same color as the cabinets. I need to get that paint off of there.
This is the only cabinet that you can see the hardware from the outside.
All the other ones, they're like on the inside.
So I'm going to paint that and then the walls are going to be a wheat bread.
So it's going to be like a continuation of the hallway and the dining room.
Like we have wheat bread here and then the walls are wheat bread.
So that's going to continue on into the kitchen and then have like that light
sage green on the backsplash.
And then I need to finish painting these lower cabinets.
But these ones are done the up and then that's done and all the uppers are done.
Just need to do that. So yeah, I'm going to go get some bead board. Um,
and then also, so the backsplash will just be here and all the way around there.
I think that'll be good. Yeah, I think that'll be, it'd be good.
And then we're doing open shelving up here with the wood that we cut off of
these. We have, I don't, I think it's out on the back porch. Let me show you.
Oh wait, there's a piece right here. Little cutoff piece. Um,
we're going to use, this is solid wood, probably not this thick.
We'll probably cut off a little more, like rip it down to probably like here,
do some open shelving in the kitchen.
It's just beautiful solid wood with the live edge to tie it all in.
And then we're also going to do some in the upstairs bathroom too.
So that will just be beautimous.
I don't feel like going all the way to Salem to the Home Depot because that is
like 30 minutes away. So I'm just going to go to our local,
like small town hardware store to get that,
um, bead board. So let's go.
Okay. I've got some trim,
some quarter round and a big old sheet of this,
uh, bead board.
So I'm going to get this in the house and then I got to go pick Berkeley up from
school.
This is the nice thing about having my Suburban now is I can get an eight foot
sheet of whatever I want in here. Four by eight.
Look at that. Oh my gosh. I have been running around like crazy today.
So busy. Um,
I just went and took Berkeley to softball practice and dropped her off,
picked Brody up from homework club. It's like a study hall after school.
If you have like assignments you need to work on, picked him up. I'm having,
I'm finishing my snack that I made before we left.
I've got my boy goes triple zero vanilla with the PB2 mixed in or I could be fit
mixed in with my Apple to dip. I'm having a ghost energy drink.
I just finished up editing content for Instagram for a brand.
So I got that all turned in
and uh, that's it.
So it is four 11 we're going to have a baseball game at five.
Johnny's on his way home from work,
but I don't think he's going to be home in time for the start of the game.
So he'll probably just meet us there so
I can breathe for just a minute.
I'm going to get my bag packed up for the ball game.
Get some snacks ready for everybody cause Berkeley's practice gets done at 530
so I'll leave Braden's game,
run over and get Berkeley and bring her over to Braden's game.
I don't know what we're going to do for dinner on tonight because his game won't
get done until like seven. I'm out of my factory meals.
We just had the last one last night and then we're leaving Sunday for Cabo.
So I don't want to order more because we're going to be gone and they're like
fresh in the fridge. So I don't know what we're going to have for dinner.
We'll see. All right. I've got a million text messages.
I need to check up on. We've got 41 emails I need to go through.
I've got laundry I need to switch. Very busy.
Hi doggies.
Hi bunny. I see you. Oh, you get down.
That's my apple. No ma'am. You are a foodie.
It was a Thursday night when I first saw you.
Those green eyes caught me. Yeah, it was crazy.
It was a Friday night when I first kissed you.
You struck me like lightning. You broke my chains and released me.
And they said in tonight's on the couch in your apartment.
No, I am not the same.
Everything has changed every day.
24 seven. You call my name and I will come running.
Yeah. Every day. 24 seven. Yeah.
Every day. I will come running, babe.
All right. Hello. It's a little bit later. Went to, um,
hi, I'm back. Went to Brayden's baseball game and then
got back and went for a super quick walk before it got dark out.
I literally just got back, um,
maybe 10 minutes ago and now it's eight Oh five.
I'm about to fold a big old pile of laundry down here again.
Just start scarfed down a taco.
Donnie and Brayden stopped by the little Mexican spot in town and grabbed a
street tacos, brought those home. So I ate,
they were bigger than street tacos. I ate a taco. Um,
and what did you have? Hot pocket.
We did just like a random dinner night. Um,
and Brody had two little of those mini pizzas from Costco,
the Kirkland pizza. I'm about to fold all this laundry.
Don't know what we have to do. Someone's got to change.
You got issues. That makes two of us. Someone's got to change.
If we never, ever met, but forgot to start.
If it never opened up my heart.
I've tried to be the help you need, but I don't think I can.
Be so hard.
I don't know what we should do.
All right. I'm going to call it a night and take this step upstairs.
So thank you guys so much for hanging out with me in this video today.
Taking time out of your busy day to hang out with me.
I will see you guys again very soon in my next video.
