Good morning guys! Welcome to today's video. My pants are lined. I don't know
where I got them from. Out of my closet this morning. But they won't stay up.
They're too tight. So I'm going to change them. I'm a sensory person.
I need like things that don't bother me. Do you need to be fed on your own?
Do you need help because you can't get up? I've been there.
Oh she did it. I'm gonna go make sure she has food. So the next three days are going to be
super cold. So we put this in here for when the cats are in the barn. Hi handsome. Where's your
sister? All right let's see if yesterday's trick works. They just came out early this morning.
Come here kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty. Come here kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty.
Come on. What's her name? Teddy. Come on teddy. Teddy. Oh here she is. Come here. Hi babe.
I know you just saw me. It's dark in here this morning. You just saw me but I'm back. I just
want to come like a bunch of times throughout today and reiterate that she's fine and then I
keep coming back. Just like with kids. Mamas always come back. There we go. There we go. You got it.
These kittens got way too much love this this past winter. Like they're really attached.
They're not your average barn kitty that's for sure. But I don't know. Hopefully this makes
the best barn kitties because they're not wild. Gross. They come up to you. They want to be with
you. She jumped down. She's gone now. Come here. Come here. I've been training her to come.
Come here. She's like yeah whatever. Anyway I always help Sam in the mornings give Penny
her medicine. So I'm gonna go do that really quick because today is the day people that
this barn is getting clean. Soon as I soon as I change my pants. These pants are driving me
because these pants are driving me crazy. Remember when I made this
medicine cabinet? It was here all along but I just painted it and then I put some labels up
and put a bunch of stuff in here and I love it. It's still so organized. It's got everything
that we need. You know what that is? Oh bandaging your horse. I think I got this
from the first aid course that I took but let's not even look at that. We don't want to
invite bad things to happen. It's definitely been hard trying to keep the cats in this area
of the barn especially him because he runs away. It literally just snowed. You guys see it?
It's just pouring down snow. In fact it's still snowing. Do you see it? Snow.
All right so Sam and I have been trying to do a big clean and I wanted to just get rid of all
this stuff. This is from the chicken coop and look what I found. So these are Sylvie's old boots
and she left them outside and they're full of water. Yep. I could probably plant some flowers
in there. Ew leaves too. So these are actually super fancy boots. She buys new ones every year
so does Sam and I think I might wear these ones if I can find the other one. So basically they're
like croc material and apparently they're super super warm. They're only like $125, 130 bucks.
Is this the other one? Wait a minute. Does one look green and one look black? Yes.
All right let's see if I can find the others. Also in Sylvie's garden which will be cleaned up soon
I found her crocs. Yep that's how we roll for spring cleaning.
But I'm sure that the other boots are here somewhere.
I also want to throw this out because it does not look very good anymore.
And the thing about this is that I hate this. Literally hate it. It's the worst feeder ever.
So it has legs and the legs just break off so easy. It's not a good feeder but I'm going to
keep it because I did lose use it last year and I'm probably going to use it again this year. It
does stand without the legs. It's just awkward and annoying. Last week I posted about how I to
make gardening easier for me, the lazy man's way, is that I leave a little shovel in every
garden and every garden on this property has a little shovel in it and I'm not lying it does.
It's honestly the easiest way. Well today is not a gardening day so I need to back away from that.
Some socks Sylvie's and all of our rocks fell down but that's okay. I can put them back up
make it cute again.
When we started off it sure was a different kind of love.
Should I get up? Should I get up and run? Stopped it right before it had begun.
It was the morning dove and you were chasing me through the air.
This is Sophie's newest goat sweater. It was so nice and somehow it got
dropped outside when I was washing sweaters. So hi babies. Hi. Oh you're all just so darn cute.
So I washed this bucket that was in the chicken coop because I'm always looking for extra feed
pans for the goats. I love just watching. This is like an Olympic podium where they all stand
up there like he's the king and he's there he's gold and he's silver or bronze or however. We
need one more. Well actually we do have a little picnic table because our new boy be coming soon.
I still need help with his name. He's gold. He's gold. That's it just plain gold which
is my favorite color. Winston is gold. So I need a name for a gold boy and it has to be
Sophie approved unfortunately because I got a lot of names. She doesn't approve any of them.
Oh yeah I just realized that I did not clean the barn this morning because I went up to have
breakfast because milking this morning was brutal so I'm gonna do this quick get everything
cleaned up but let's check on my babies first. My favorite is when I come and there are no babies.
Where are the babies? You guys see the chicken? Not even a pig. Oh there's a pig. Oh my goodness
Look at that. They're all down there. Hi pose. Hi babe. Hi.
The ground is really sopping wet here. Like really sopping wet.
Everybody be looking so good this year. Don't they look good? I put so much worry into if
they're chubby and even looking back at last year they were not even chubby and I was stressed out
thinking they're chubby. My goats are not fat. They left me. All of them. Poor little pregnant
girl. She can't run. She's like I got babies in here. Well that was a waste of me getting my
feet wet. Only one who stayed is my poshie. Can you guys believe what a wonderful goat she is?
Like we got so lucky. I got so lucky. Hi babe. She's a funny girl.
They wreck this fence. They just knock it down. In fact it's never been like
nailed together anyways. So I'll maybe get Sam to do that this year because it looks nicer when
it's all put together. I put it together lots of times when I come down here and then oh wait a
minute and then they literally break it down again. So I changed my pants because they were too
they were lined so they were too tight and they kept falling down.
And now the pants I have on are too big and they keep falling down. Super annoying.
There we go. He just needs to nail them in. Sam when you're editing this please nail these in.
Pretty girl. Do you guys like that color? She's different.
It's not my favorite color but she is such a friendly goat.
And you are a friendly goat. Anyway I need to get in there and clean the barn. But this morning when
I was milking was so bad. So so bad. It just was so noisy. Lola's excellent. Zoe it's only her
second day. Oh my gosh she was awful. Absolutely awful. I told them I'd meet them up at the barn
because I told them that today is barn cleaning day and they're probably not that happy about it.
But it is what it is. I'm gonna clean this barn really quick and then we'll go check and see what
they're doing. Every day I say oh I'll get you guys another bucket so everybody can have their
own bucket and then I forget who I promised a bucket to. So I have these two. I have that one
and this is like a really heavy one so they don't push it over. So I have that one. But what I think
I might do is I might start feeding a couple of the goats out in the hallway because it's just
getting frustrating with trying to make sure that they're all getting what they need without the
bigger ones taking it off. Also the pigs when they broke into the barn they broke this
table and I know I can put it back together or I might just swap it out but we'll see. Honestly
this is what happens to me. I'm not addicted to anything except for
look goat watching. Like I literally love it so much. Oh my gosh look at his bright blue eyes.
They're so beautiful.
It's actually so cold. I don't think anybody's here yet.
We're gonna clean this barn get it all ready for spring. The hardest part about spring when you
live in a cool climate is once the cold like everything kind of falls to the wayside during
the freezing cold when you're outside like all the outside stuff. So we have lots to do when
the snow disappears everything gets uncovered everything gets clustered and and it's just
always a mess in the spring. So I'll show you guys our spring cleanup. Okay so Sam and the
girls are doing that side the horse side and I've been doing this side. This is just part one you
guys. I just cleaned it up. I'll show you this is all Sam's stuff. He's gonna go through it himself
but it still looks really messy. Remember this is our tech room and it's also Sam's garage
and in the back behind all those saddle pads there is also storage. It's actually all stuff
we need to get rid of but you might notice that little Teddy is happy now. She loves the barn now.
I made them a little bed over here for at night. Tonight they're gonna stay out here for the whole
night. We have that Sam set that up this morning and stage two is gonna be clean all of our saddles
get rid of like get settled in all of our saddle pads, figure out everything for this year, clean
up all the horse stuff. But for now I just cleaned the floor, cleaned up all the junk. You guys
wouldn't even believe what it looked like before but man it seems so much better already and I'm
so much happier that my kitties are happier. Like she's gonna be a great little barn cat. He already
is. She's gonna be a great little barn cat. That door to the horse area is open. She's running back
and forth. They are happy. She's happy out here. She's happy when we're out here. The doors are all
open. Yep it's gonna work out you guys. Took a little bit of stress, a little bit of worry
and a whole lot of patience. Just patience and time.
