So go ahead and Clear ram cache to reclaim your PC's potential once more!
Does your Windows PC feel sluggish, even when you aren't running any heavy programs?
If you open your Task Manager right now, you might be shocked to see that Windows is secretly hoarding gigabytes of your RAM in a hidden cache.
In just one click, I dropped my cached memory from over a gigabyte down to just megabytes.
Today, I'm going to show you a hidden, 100% official Microsoft tool that clears this trapped memory instantly, making your PC lightning fast again.
Alright, let's get to it!
So, what exactly is happening here?
Windows 10 and 11 have a feature called the Standby List.
It caches files your system thinks you might need later.
But sometimes, Windows refuses to let that memory go when you actually need it for a game, a browser, or an editing program.
This leads to 100% memory usage and a very slow computer.
To fix this safely, we aren't going to use any sketchy third-party cleaners.
We are using an official diagnostic tool created by Microsoft themselves called RAM Map.
Open your browser and search for RAM Map Microsoft.
Make sure you click the official link from Microsoft's website.
I'll also leave a direct link in the video description below to make it easy for you.
Click the blue Download button.
It downloads as a very small zip file.
Right-click that folder, select Extract All, and open the extracted folder.
You don't even need to install it.
Just double-click the file named RAM Map.
Accept the User Account Control prompt and agree to the software license terms.
Now for the fun part.
Open your Task Manager by right-clicking your taskbar and selecting Task Manager.
Go to the Performance tab and click on Memory.
Look at your cached number right here.
Mine is sitting at over 1.2 gigabytes.
We'll place both windows side-by-side so you can see what I am doing.
Now go to the RAM Map window.
Click on Empty at the top and then click Empty Standby List.
Watch the Task Manager.
Boom.
Instantly, all that trapped memory is dumped,
freeing up your system's resources for the apps you are actually using.
You can run this completely safe tool anytime your PC starts feeling bogged down.
I want to know how much memory you just freed up.
Let me know down in the comments.
Did you clear 2 gigabytes? 10 gigabytes or more?
