From FLAT WATER to BRUTAL CHOP - Tarifa Storm Windsurfing!

what's up guys the weather is beautiful as you just saw and I'm about to go for a new speed record attempt I want to break the 40 knots I'm trying this since so so so many years and maybe today is actually the day and aside from that as you can see I'm in a new location it's a different apartment actually cost the same as the other one it's just way way nicer there is just some very questionable art in this apartment if you can explain me this please do the apartment is full of this stuff it's really really weird actually we have two floors also there is one very special piece of art in this apartment my girlfriend Anna look at that morning and yeah you can see over the whole straight of Gibraltar very peaceful straight very open also lots of ships very little mines no rockets beautiful then we have this little terrace and the best thing about this apartment is it's cheaper than the one I'm coming from which is actually very ridiculous because the previous one didn't even have a function functioning toilet I ran 10 kilometers yesterday so this is my condition right now we really don't know how to behave in front of the camera together it's been a long time but we're going to Tarifa together since seven years so that's really nice it's just in front of the camera in English then it's really weird but we will drive now down to the beach to a special spot so guys we will stay in the city we will go to the left of the spot called Campo which is all the way on the right of the city and today we have winds up to 42-45 knots I'm going to show you the measurement in a moment and that means we will be overpowered to the absolute maximum it will be hardcore yeah Anna is saying I need to look at the street so I will look at the street so guys these are the current wind readings at the moment the wind meter shows 34 knots max but you always have to add 5 to 10 knots to these measurements here because of course the wind is being measured on the beach and the freerace equipment this is the spot and in front of me you can see the speed strip we will go all the way down there and we are now waiting for high tide high tide is at 5 p.m. and when the water reaches the peak then usually you have some time where it's really really flat and where you have less rolling chop and that is when you can do the good speeds I asked Anna if she would want to help me film this session her motivation is near zero and she will be standing in the blowing sand and it will be absolutely terrible I didn't hear anything I said I said it will be a beautiful day on the beach you can get your towel ready and it will be very nice to film in the smooth sand I'm not sure if it's a bad idea but I might just go for the white tiger 100 for those who are new at the channel it's a freerace board it's not a slalom board so in theory it's a little bit slower than a slalom board so it's a little bit harder to reach my goal but I had such good speeds on that board the other day that I think now that I'm comfortable on it I might just go with that one but just so you know all the other slalom boards are now ready as well the 100 white tiger and I'm really wondering why it's so fast on the downwind course but maybe it's just a little bit of extra control because it's a little bit lower here than the pure slalom board and then here I have the 5.2 racing blade but yeah let's get it ready and then we will see I was out there with Christian Christian had a little meltdown after the session because it was so gusty and yeah but I still made a few nice runs to say it was a little bit frustrating because I felt like the state of the water when we had the high tide it was good enough to do the 40 knots speed but the wind was just wasn't there it was too gusty I will make it happen at some point I just need the right conditions I was so close already with the 38.6 but still 1.4 missing good morning massive problem yesterday I destroyed my foot in a crash now the entire foot is open but nonetheless it is once again windy like every doctor would say the smartest thing you can do when you just ripped off your foot while windsurfing is to go windsurf even more just so you teach your foot to not break and it's also a mental game it's a mental game yeah who gives up first the foot or the brain but look once again beautiful amazing wind wind has a slightly weird angle at the moment that means that it's mega choppy and today we will go to the hardcore Levante spot like the hardest spot that you can possibly go to basically unless you go to the
