SOMEONE SHOWS UP AT MY CAMPSITE | Lemon muffin on Dutch oven | Van life

A subscriber sent me this little jacket. I think I like it. Do you kitty? It's gonna keep you warm. I'm surprised that's a good fit. I like it. It's just tight underneath the belly. I think she's gonna like it too. Do you like your new jacket? You look good. This is a little campsite, a little place, campfire. I think we have a river. We have a little creek right beside us. I decided to come today to have a little campfire because next week it's supposed to get pretty cold. So I'm probably not gonna do any backcountry campfire. Who knows? Might snow. So I just decided I'm gonna come enjoy the backcountry a little bit before it gets too cold. I think it's gonna be colder tonight but the snow is not that far from here. My boyfriend got me this thing I think a couple months ago and I didn't even try it. Let me show you. I don't know if I can make that happen. So I need to find three branches that will go inside those holes here, go in triangle and I can hook. So somehow, I'm gonna have to try to figure that out. The chain will go in the middle here. Tie it up and I can change the length and that could bring my Dutch oven hard at the fire itself. We'll try. A lot of times you can see some, you can find some metal ones so I'm gonna try to find some piece of wood today and kind of play with it and see if that will work. If not, if it's just getting too complicated, I'm probably gonna go at a hardware store and find some piece of wood already made or piece of metal would be even better, red metal. And yeah, so tiny little thing. We'll see. I'm gonna let you know if that works. But it's been several months that I have it and I didn't try it yet so I think it's gonna be today. So I don't know if I need to put more than that. We'll try. I think this one was a good one too. Oh, it worked. I'm surprised. When he showed me this, I was like, oh, I'm not sure or easy or, but yeah, it's perfect. That took like maybe 10 minutes to grab the woods and make it. It's awesome. I love it. I need to put the chain a little bit harder, I think, for my campfire. Look at that, guys. How cool it is. That's awesome. So it's called Corvin, something around this. So today on a Dutch oven, we are making a lemon poppy seed muffin. You probably wonder, oh, that I'm gonna make my fat in the Dutch oven. About a while ago, those little tart pan, if you want to get forget it. And I think I'm going to put them those little muffin inside that and put them in a Dutch oven. So I might be able to cook four at a time. Yeah, we'll see. I had no idea. I was like, someone mentioned that I should make muffin on a Dutch oven. Nothing for you, kitty. And I was like, how am I going to make muffin? I don't have a cast iron muffin pan, but I think that's going to work, hopefully. So we're going to make the recipe. I love lemon ones, so it should be good. I'm full of sap, though, from all the chopping wood. All right, clean that. All right, I need one cup of, they always say soy milk, but I don't have any soy milk. I only have oatmeal, which will be okay. It's just soy milk is a little bit more thick. And I always use those little cup ones. You don't need to refrigerate them. If they are open, you need it. But we need one cup, which is just the can. And I need one teaspoon of soy vinegar. Mix that and let that sit for a while. And I need a zest. Let's see if I can mix zest with this thing. All right, not the best little tool to mix zest, but it kind of works. And I think after that, we mix the dry and the wet together. Oh, the batter tastes so good. Oh yeah, wow. Okay, all done. I'm going to make that with this one, I guess. So I don't know how many muffins I was supposed to make. I didn't look at the recipe. I screenshot the recipe and I didn't screenshot the actual amount. Usually I make eight, but it seems to be maybe more than that. All right, we have eight muffins. I'm excited for that, guys. Loco's coming as soon as I start making food. As soon as I start. All right, those ones look good. Oh, maybe a little bit too hot. We need to let them cool down. Chrome just told me how to manage this thing. So there's a little pan that just goes on top like this and you clip it there and it stays at that height. And then if you need to make it hotter, you can pull the pan dropper down and you need to make it cooler. You can adjust the temperature as you need. Silly things you find on Amazon. Yeah, that's perfect. So I think some are maybe a little bit too cook. So the other one, we raised them a little bit higher, but I do have a glaze that I can make on top. So yeah, the bottom burner was too hot in the bottom. It's okay. We can still eat the top and the other ones I just make them higher. So I'm just going to pour this on top. Probably should wait to cool them down. I'm not patient. I'm not patient. They literally show up here two minutes before they're ready. I knew it. Something in me says I know where to go. Oh, those are good. I really like that. I can keep a fire pretty warm and just grab the ash and you just like the chart, sorry, and put them on top and keep rotate. So it's easier. They look cute too. They look cute. Those ones look better. That's a leftover of the glaze. So those ones didn't burn. They look better. Those are perfect. My van smell like a lemon pie or something. It smells good. So I was a success guy. And that's gross to say, but we ate them all. Yes, we ate four of each and that was pretty much our dinner to be quite honest. It was so good. I thought I would like, I would put some away and keep some for the day after. No, this is why I cannot make dessert. I always, always want to eat the whole thing. Good thing I only make dessert when I go in the backcountry. So I hope you guys enjoy a little campfire in the backcountry. That was great. Well, it's not the most beautiful place. You had a bunch of garbage. I must admit, we're not super far from the town. I went further down the road and people was, is the weekend, people were camping. So I went back to this first spot here.
