It's April vacation for Massachusetts schools this week, so it could be busy.
22 News reporter Nick Antonakis was down at Bradley International Airport and joins us
live in studio now with how airport traffic could be impacted.
Julia, Bradley International Airport spokesperson Brian Spiro said these past three weeks have
been busy at the airport, combining Connecticut and Massachusetts school vacation weeks.
Spiro says the tale of the week tends to be a busier travel time and recommends a few
things to travelers who are flying this week.
First off, leave yourself plenty of time before your flight takes off.
Spiros recommends to be in the terminal and ready to check in 90 minutes prior to your
flight.
He also says it's smart to have your airplane's app on your phone as that would keep you informed
on any delays or schedule changes.
That would happen to your flight, I should say.
Jodi Blessing and her family are from Pittsfield and were flying out to Myrtle Beach in what
was a last minute trip.
Yeah, so this is like a birthday gift for her.
She's turning 14, so it was kind of like a last minute hurry up and book a trip during
April break, which is not an easy thing to do.
Everything was really expensive.
Parking was sold out.
I had to hurry up and book something on the fly, so.
But we made it.
Here we are.
Bradley has been busy.
Spiro says it's been manageable.
But regardless, if you're heading somewhere this April vacation, leave plenty of travel
time to ensure a smooth airport experience.
Working for you, Nick Antonakis, 22 News.
