We Bought a Ski Mountain

Put her there, partner. We are up at the ski mountain. This is our 10th year running this thing and it has been hard to get it open this year because the winter has not wintered. It has been warm and rainy and that's been the case across the Pacific Northwest. The west most ski areas have had a late than normal start because the snow has not cooperated but here it is January 9th. It's finally cold enough. We have 20 degree temps and just enough snow to open the Aspen or the beginner run and get her started for the year. And it feels so good. Can we tell them how I'm emotional? Colette's cried a couple times. I'm over here like I'm tired and I'm emotional and we opened the hill and look at the snow and the sunshine and oh my goodness it's so pretty. It is pretty. Let me flip you. Flip you. Check it. It's pretty. And the smell. Take a deep breath would ya? No you know that arctic air when you take a deep winter breath and it's like kind of pine. Yes. Oh and you can smell like the crystals in the air. Fresh. There's no smog. Picture it. Use your senses. Use your imaginary smell senses. You know what I'm talking about. Okay we're going to do um are we going in to get a burger now? We did two runs. We're hungry. This is the first day. We're getting our legs warmed up. I got a little leg burn on that one. maybe but I didn't ski when I was a kid and I didn't ski when I like I snowboarded a little bit in high school but what I'm getting at is it's never too late to start you guys start doing something that challenges you it gets your body moving and makes you feel young even if you're in your 40s we were just talking about this at lunch hold on I got to put the camera on my face grab look my hands frozen this way I was just holding the camera don't be like oh I'm just getting so old now like I'm 45 years old I'm getting close to 50 I don't want to be like oh I'm just old now I can't do that granite together this is what I used to do for a living this is so wow this is weird seeing this this is the hardener these are seamers they're being pneumatically sucking to the granite pulling this seam together so this is how you put two pieces of granite together this is epoxy see it's coming out of the joint and then you have to fill to see if it's level dude I spent a lot of time working with these tools right here these shims oh my gosh shims and razor blades Wow this is my old life right here use these razor blades to scrape the glue off crazy I couldn't think of the right word what that was to walk in and see that because we're vlogging today which is I guess is like our career that's what we did for a living what we do can you call vlogging a career yes you can we did we made quite a good but just walking in there I've gone to this gas station my entire life and seeing them do granite countertops is my old career that's my old life man I miss it I do I don't miss breathing in silica dust and carrying 500 pound islands into kitchens and having silicone all over my fingers you were definitely breathing in a lot of stuff you probably didn't need to be oh yeah for sure that's why I like the smell of glue look I found my keys let's go okay what's the word you walk in you see an old career nostalgia yeah I feel like there should be serendipitous what's it there's just some word I want to let me know in the comments what do you think that word is it's like an old world in a new world colliding coming together it's like a reminding you of a time time past okay we got coordinated are you can you chew gum and ski that's the question I can it's just like okay go get all your stuff and I like to walk actually like swallow my gum and start like choking and then I like
