A quick review of the Obsidian wiring hraness.
Hey Gospel Guitars here. Really quickly mention that I've perked up a an Obsidian Mark II Les Paul
kit which is a wireless system which comes with a jack and the three-way toggle switch
and the three-way toggle switch is pre-wired to the gray wire you see here with this wiring
and these two wires are pre-wired to the output jack so it's very quick assembly you just push
down on the little indents there to insert your wires release it and make sure your wires are
actually grabbed in there really good give them a good tug and then just move on down to your
pickups and do the same there is a wiring schematic that comes with it that you need to apply your own
pickup wiring schematics to but both pickups will just be inserted up here there's a screw
mount down here that's where your bridge grounding cable will go and the bare wires
of the pickups go there and there are two screws provided for that the pots are really nice cts pots
everything on the system sounds really nice it's an upgrade from what came in this this is a
les paul high performance that came with the molex connecting system that gibson came up with
this you don't have to deal with any molexes or the issues of molexes and swapping pickups and
all that stuff this is simply strip off some wire and stick it in there you can swap a pickup in
this thing extremely quick and in case those of you who are wondering have gone to the website
and haven't bought this yet because of the size of the switch you see as you can see here the switch
goes in just fine there's rather thick cables that are coming in through here and soldering to
it that you want to insert down the channel first and then follow up with inserting the switch but
as you can see the switch has plenty of clearance in there it's not the real tall one that gibson's
known for using but it's a very good feeling switch it's very firm and the contacting is very
very firm and solid so i don't think i'm gonna have any issues with it you know being a you know
not a switchcraft switch it does have a switchcraft jack i'm not sure why they didn't go with a
switchcraft product there if they did it's not mentioned on the website and it doesn't say it
on the switch and their switches usually say it so anyway not a big deal for me but um that's
my very quick review on the mk2 last fall system from obsidian wire a wireless system that is very
easy to install and well worth the money i think it was a hundred dollars roughly i'd have to check
the exact price but that's a pretty good deal so thanks for watching click the subscribe button
click the follow button the little bell so that you'll know when my videos are coming out
and i hope you have a great day and now it's spring so maybe maybe
people can start playing again outside stay cool peace
