And welcome back to Graceville, where God's love is everywhere.
It's me, Pastor Anastasia.
And I'm so super duper excited that you join me today as we learn more about our best friend, Jesus.
Today's special feature comes to us all the way from Florida.
Where my friends Michaela, Chloe, and Pamela have prepared a beautiful song just for us.
Let's listen in.
He gives us hope when hope is gone.
He gives us strength when we can't go on.
He gives us shelter in the storms of life.
When there's no peace on earth, there is peace in Christ.
Thanks, guys. That was amazing.
Boys and girls, remember, if you want to share your gifts and talents for Jesus,
please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me.
And I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
Did you hear that sound, too?
Yes, you did. It means it's nature time and I'm so excited.
Because joining me for nature time today is our friend, Butter and Zay.
So if you want to find out what our new friend, Rosaria, all the way from the Cayman Highlands,
has to share with us about God's wonderful creation,
you'll just have to come along with us.
Welcome to today's nature time.
My name is Rosaria Riley and I live in a place called Grand Cayman, an island in the Caribbean Sea.
And today, we're going to take a look at an animal that is very, very important to us Caymanians.
And that animal is the turtle.
The Caymanian Turtle Center, or Turtle Farm as it's locally called, is very, very special.
For one thing, we don't take any turtles from the outside.
In fact, we breed and release our own turtles.
And up to date, we've released over 36,000 turtles back into the wild.
And we're the only turtle center of this kind in the entire world.
Turtles come up for air every three to five minutes.
But if they want to relax or sleep, they can hold their breath for up to eight hours before returning to the surface.
In the turtle center, turtles eat what we call turtle chow,
which is basically a condensed version of the seagrass and vegetation that they eat in the wild.
In fact, in the wild, turtles eat so much grass that they are often called the mowers of the sea.
As it says in Psalm chapter 8, everything in all of creation praises the Lord.
So let's do that today and praise Him for all He has given us.
Thank you so much for joining me for Nature Time.
See you next time, kids. Bye!
Thanks, Rosaria. See you next time.
Well, we're back just in time to check in on Melissa.
I wonder what's going on with her this week.
Well, let's go.
Hey Pastor Anastasia, I'm so happy you're here.
Sounds like you could use some help.
What can I do?
Glad you asked.
It's Mariana.
She hurt herself while doing a stunt on the playground.
Everyone got scared and ran away.
But I don't want to just leave her alone.
It hurts when she tries to walk.
I'm happy that you stayed to help her.
God loves it when we are there for each other.
Especially when we're helping those who can't help themselves.
Wait a minute!
That reminds me of our theme for this week, which simply says,
Help Each Other.
Let me hear my friend, Zay, say it.
Help Each Other.
And our memory verse is found in Galatians 6.10.
And it simply says, Let's do good to all people.
Let me hear my friend, Trevor, say it.
Let us do good to all people, Galatians 6.10.
Great job, everyone!
To be honest, everyone ran away
because we know we're not supposed to be doing stunts on the playground.
But how could I leave her in her pain all alone?
Hopefully, more help arrives soon.
Don't worry, they'll be here soon.
By the way, your willingness to stay and help your friend
reminds me of the guy in today's story.
He went all the way into battle just to rescue his nephew
who was captured along with the King of Sodom and four other kings.
Can you guess who today's story is about?
I know who went to battle to rescue his nephew.
Who could forget that heroic rescue mission?
It was about Abram.
That's right, my friend.
Today's story is about Abram.
Abram could hardly believe his ears
as the messenger informed him that his nephew Lot was in trouble.
The King of Sodom and four other kings
had joined together to fight against their enemies.
The battle did not go in their favor and they lost.
Unfortunately, Lot was among those captured and taken hostage.
Even though Abram had no great army, he could not abandon Lot.
He had to help.
So he gathered all the fighting-age men in his household
and set out on a dangerous mission to save Lot.
With God's help, they were able to rescue Lot before it was too late.
Wowzers! Abram was really brave and determined to help Lot no matter what.
He sure was, Melissa, and so are you.
Remember, God wants us to be kind always and help each other.
