I'm so super duper excited that you join me today as we learn more about our best friend,
Today's special feature comes to us all the way from Puerto Rico, where my friend Nathan
has prepared a beautiful song just for us.
Thanks, Nathan, that was amazing!
Boys and girls, remember, if you want to share your gifts and talents for Jesus, please ask
your parents or guardians to inbox me, and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
You know that sound, it's nature time!
I'm so excited because Ryan is back, and he has something cool to teach us about.
So, come along with me!
Hello boys and girls, and welcome again to nature time at Graceville.
Today, we're going to be talking about animal traits.
Let's tune in!
Some animals like to be alone.
For example, bears are the most solitary carnivores in the world.
They prefer trees, or if they're polar bears, floating on a block of ice.
Another solitary animal is the desert tortoise.
They are alone from the time they are hatched.
These lonely reptiles have to avoid predators and find their own food.
On the other hand, there are animals who like to stay in groups.
For example, female mule deers take care of each other's fawns.
When a mother goes off to graze, she leaves her babies with the other mothers to babysit.
They would fight off other animals to protect their fawns.
Two other animals that help each other are coyotes and badgers.
They join together to hunt.
The coyote chases the prey above ground, and the badger takes over when they try to hide.
It's easiest for some people to make friends, but harder for others.
Romans 12 verse 18 says,
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Be kind and patient with everyone, no matter their personality.
We are all unique in God's eyes.
Bye, boys and girls.
Thanks for tuning in.
See you next time.
And we're back, just in time to check in on Melissa.
I wonder what's going on with her this week.
I heard something really big happened.
Well, let's find out.
Hey, Pastor Anastasia.
Guess what?
This week, I was elected class president.
Yay!
That's awesome!
I'm so proud of you, Melissa.
Thanks.
I'm excited and nervous.
I'm the first girl president, and some boys don't think I have what it takes.
Oh, really now?
Don't let negative thoughts weigh you down.
Remember, you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength.
Wait a minute.
That reminds me of our theme for this week, which simply says, God makes me brave.
Let me hear Zayden say it.
God make me brave.
And our memory verse is found in 1 Chronicles 28, verse 20.
And it simply says, be strong and courageous.
Do the work.
Don't be afraid or discouraged.
Let me hear my friend Dylan in St. Vincent say it.
Our memory verse for today is, be strong and courageous and do thy work.
Do not be afraid or discouraged.
1 Chronicles 28, verse 20.
Great job, everyone.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Just what I needed to hear.
With God on our side, we never have to worry about what people think or say about us.
That's why today's story is about a woman who bravely served as a judge
and led God's people into battle.
Can you guess who today's story is about?
A woman who was a judge and led God's people into the battle.
A ordinary person.
I know that.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
It's Deborah.
That's right, Joshuant and Abiathar.
Today's story is about Deborah.
Deborah lived in Israel during a time when there were no kings.
Many of the Israelites turned away from God to worship idols.
But Deborah remained faithful to God and led his people as a judge and prophet.
Even though this was unusual for women in those days,
Deborah accepted God's call and allowed him to use her.
Everything was going well until the evil general Cicero tried to destroy the Israelites.
They were all afraid, but Deborah assured them that God had a plan to rescue his people.
With her guidance, Barak and his army stood up against their enemies.
The Israelites were all saved because Deborah was obedient to God's will.
Wowzers!
Deborah's story is such an inspiring reminder to be courageous and brave.
Absolutely!
We can tackle anything that comes our way when we remember that it is God who makes us brave.
