Hi boys and girls and welcome back to Graceville where God's love is everywhere. It's me
Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited that you join me today as we learn more about our
best friend Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us all the way from Venezuela
where my friend Sofia has prepared a beautiful song just for us. Let's listen in.
¡Qué lindo!
That was AWESOME!
Boys and girls, remember, if you want to share your gifts and talents with Jesus, please
ask your parents or guardians to inbox me, and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
It's nature time again, it's nature time again, and I'm so excited to know what we're going
to be learning about today with our friend Ryan from Canada.
It's always such an extra special treat.
You never know who or what we'll be learning about today, so come along with me.
Hey boys and girls, and welcome again to nature time at Graceville.
Today, we're going to be talking about fishing.
Let's tune in.
Many people fish in order to eat, but I fish as a hobby.
In order to fish, we need to be focused.
We also need to be patient and calm because we won't catch anything if we give up.
Fishing helps us stress and anxiety because of the calming waters in the surroundings.
It's also good for our lungs because we get to breathe in fresh air.
And guess what?
We also get some exercise by reeling in the fish and making movements that fishing requires.
Lastly, fishing is great for building friendships, so consider taking a friend along.
If you've been feeling stressed lately, swap out the cell phones and iPads and get
outside and fish.
Remember to practice responsible fishing.
I usually return all the fish I catch back into the water.
Boys and girls, there's something even better than normal fishing, and that's fishing for people.
Matthew 4 verse 19 says,
Come follow me, Jesus said, and I will send you out to fish for people.
Boys and girls, people need to hear about the only hope in this world, Jesus.
So let's get out there and start fishing.
Thanks for tuning in.
See you next time.
Great, you guys made it back just in time for us to check in on Melissa.
I wonder how her week went.
Well, let's find out.
Hey, Pastor Anastasia, something really interesting happened yesterday.
Really?
Tell me more.
While my mom and I were out for a walk, we noticed something moving in the bushes.
It was a poisonous snake.
We quickly got out of the way.
That's great news, Melissa.
Yes, but when I looked back, I saw an old lady walking into danger.
She was so thankful that I turned back to warn her.
She said I had to be an angel.
How awesome!
Things could have turned out differently, but you allowed God to use you to warn her.
Just like you did, God often sends angels to warn and protect his people.
Wait a minute!
That reminds me of our theme for this week, which simply says angels are God's messengers.
Let me hear my friends say it.
Angels are God's messengers.
And our memory verse is found in Psalm 91 verse 11.
And it simply says he will give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.
Let me hear my little friends say it.
He shall give his angels over you to keep you in all your ways.
Psalm 91 verse 11.
Great job, everyone!
Oh, so that's what she meant.
I get it now.
There's no way I could just walk away knowing that she was in danger.
You have such a good heart.
Wait, that reminds me of our story for this week.
It's about a man whose life was saved when God sent an angel and spoke through a donkey
just to warn him.
Can you guess what today's story is about?
An angel?
A talking donkey?
That's too easy, Pastor Anastasia.
It's Balaam.
That's right, my little friends.
Today's story is about Balaam.
On their way to the Promised Land, the Israelites camped near Moab.
King Balaam was terrified.
Surely they will destroy us.
I'll get someone to put a curse on them.
So he sent his elders to search for Balaam.
Happy to receive the king's money, Balaam set out to curse the Israelites.
But something strange happened.
His donkey stopped and refused to go any further.
He didn't know that God had opened the donkey's eyes to see an angel
with a sword in hand ready to stop him.
The donkey, understanding the angel's warning, even began to speak.
But Balaam was too filled with greed and anger to recognize God's messenger
until the angel delivered God's message to him.
Thanks to the angel and his donkey, Balaam's life was saved and the Israelites were blessed.
Wowzers!
God's grace is so amazing.
Even after Balaam did wrong, he still sent an angel and used a donkey to rescue him.
You're absolutely right.
Because of God's amazing grace and mercy, we all have a guardian angel to keep us safe.
