The Midwest Horse Fair is one of my favorite events to go to as a horse trainer. I hope you enjoy the behind the scenes footage from last weekend!

All right we're headed to Midwest Horse Fair. We got Marley and Lambo loading up.
They're dirty, don't mind that. We're gonna wash them at the horse fair and so hopefully you guys
can come check out our demos over there. So fair's going great. We just got over their lead change
demo and all the riders did super well. I was super proud of them. Several of them got their
lead changes and I think everybody had a good time. I think the crowd enjoyed it. So we're
headed back to the booth now and then tomorrow we have the colt start and then I'm in the
working at cattle trial. So hopefully that'll go well and be fun. I gotta run right from one to
the other so hopefully make it in time. So here we're walking in to the working at quotation
cattle trial and what you didn't know is I just got done putting the first ride on a colt and
there was nowhere outside for us to warm the horses up. So Lambo had not been ridden at all
and was fresh going into this and I literally just ran kind of all rushed to get over to the
coliseum to do this event and so zero warm-up time. Barely trotted in one lap and we've only
worked cattle one time this year and so he was pretty fresh and then my cow got a little sticky
right there in the corner but you're gonna see how it kind of falls apart on me here. So the
the cattle this cow was kind of testy and I kind of sent it a little strong here and I thought he
was bluffing but he was serious and I had to go ahead and pull him up and and stop but luckily
he was able to get it back together and we still were able to get back on on the cow. What's really
unfortunate too is if that hadn't happened with my cow being a little bit difficult there if I
was able to get him cut out I think we would have won it. We ended up getting second place
in this event and so I was pretty proud of that. My guys, my teammates Jake and Beth did really
fantastic but I kind of had to finesse this cow a little bit and Lambo was very cow fresh, very
fresh in general. The weather was super cold over the weekend and yeah and this was our first time
ever doing this and first time me riding him in this arena and so there was just a lot of new
things going on so normally he doesn't act like that he's actually super good on cows but he was
very very fresh and also my energy I was probably amped up but you can see how testing this cow was
it was it was pretty committed to not going down there and we were also the only team with a clean
run no penalties which meant no cows crossed the barrier and no cows ran back once we had them
had them down there so very happy with with my teammates and how they did there. You can see
Beth got her cow out and penned she was very proud of that. There's Marley getting after it
yep everybody did a great job so that was a ton of fun we're definitely gonna have to do that again
How'd it go Ryan? Lambo took you for a ride there. I had to go from starting at Colts
get a buggy ride over here and get on him and just go in there cold and fresh and it's a cold
day today so he was a little fresh out there but we stayed on and we had fun. My teammates Jake and
Beth did fantastic. All right guys that's a wrap for the Meadows Horse Fair it was fantastic
the audiences were amazing it was pretty much every arena session was standing room only
so thank you guys all for coming out and supporting. We are stuck in a traffic jam
in the horse world with trucks and trailers everybody trying to get out and do the same
thing so we're gonna be here for a minute but uh we'll see you guys in Minnesota next
yeah stay safe out there
all right bye
