The festival lasts about 10 days and is either at the end of July or beginning of August, depending on the moon. I focus a great deal on food and historic sites, as you probably have seen! I love to experience the different flavors that each destination has to offer, whether it’s casual Street food or gourmet restaurant dining. I’m also passionate about learning the local history and culture.

What's the name of this place? This place is called the best Arthur C Clark Seed. Arthur C Clark
Seed. Wow look at this. This is already wow. Okay so let's get out of the car. Tell me when. Okay
let's see it. All right so this is called the Arthur C. It's the best view of Kandy from here.
So you can see here we have the Kandy lake, the city, the mountains, and the white Buddha all
the way up here to the left. All right so you might think that this is a fortress over here
but it's actually a prison and from the top from Arthur's Seed from the lookout point of the city
you can actually see the prisoners inside which is something very interesting because I've never
seen inside a prison like that that the prisoners can actually see people outside living daily life.
Insane no? It's pretty crazy. Yeah yeah. This is the only one in the country like this no?
This is uh no you could see many prisons uh but most of the prison located in the middle of the
town. All right so there's the main road here in Kandy. This is where the festival goes on.
The entire street is full of little shops like this one right here. So if you see a lot of cops
like the ones behind you right there it's because it's a festival. There's literally security
everywhere right there. Over there across the street is a hundred different police officers.
Right here is more police officers. Whoa look at those rats.
No the city's cool. I like the city. It feels very
like a very old city here because we haven't really seen that.
All right so right here you have everybody getting ready for the Tutric festival. The
most Buddhist festival. The biggest Buddhist festival here in Sri Lanka in Kandy. We're
going tomorrow. We're not actually going to see it tonight because it's not we don't have seats
and you have to have you have to make reservations to have seats here. So it's uh it's about 10 days
long um either the end of July or the beginning of August. Every year it just changes depending
on the on the moon and yeah you have to come here to see this. This is the reason to come to Kandy.
Obviously there's many reasons to come to Kandy but this is one of the best reasons to come here
especially if you're here during this period. So yeah come to Kandy and experience Kandy.
