1st Full Round of Vegas Road to 300

Dan Staten's first ever Vegas round here on The Tubes. Hey guys, we love elk hunting. It's so hard. Most miles ever. Definitely an elk fishing day. Separations in the preparation. I'll have bugles across the canyon today where I've been hunting. This is a channel dedicated to inspiring you to be the best version or aspire to be the best version. You don't know. X asterisk. No, that's an X. Basically 20 yards, 3 arrows. That's an end. 10 ends, so 30 arrows. Score of 300. There's an X in the very middle. A 10 is about the size of a quarter. The next ring down to nine, then eight. Then we don't want to care about the rest. I'm going to try this new scope. Y'all saw me just put it on. I went over there and took six warm-up shots like they would allow you. And I'm just going to shoot it. And I'm just going to tell you right now, judgment-free zone. Okay, I'm putting myself out there. You go do Vegas for the first time and have cameras in your faces. I got a lot of respect for Target Archery. We're doing this official, so 10 seconds. Oof. Not my best. You kind of want to hit that and create a hole so you have something to aim at. But, okay. Okay. I don't think I'm going to Las Vegas anytime soon, Jeffrey. All right. I probably should have let down on that third arrow. I still had plenty of time. Ten. Hmm. It's weird lighting in here versus out there. It kind of sucks. I think you can do this. Two clicks to the left. Ten. I'm going to have to go a couple clicks to the right. One. Two. Three. All right. Let's go pull them. That is an X. So we got an X, finally. It's a 10X. That's a 10. And that's a 10. So we got three 10s and one X. And I'm not writing this down because we got it on video. This just really gives me a truly appreciation for these gangsters at the Vegas line. Oh, yeah. Round three. Are people actually watching this whole thing? I don't know. I can't tell 20 yards down there what's going on. Even with a four power, all I see is yellow. Any reason why you're going top first? No, but I'm trying to keep it the same. Oh, good. I'm going to take it. The third arrow has been the hardest one to watch. The pen moves so much. And the pen moves so much more on the lens. So I've never used the lens before until today, right now. I'm okay with the pen moving, but I'm trying to just stare at the middle and do good stuff. Now, I've watched Vegas. They don't shoot this fast. It takes forever. I don't know. They got to walk down. Judges have to score. You get your arrows. I think they change targets out after five ins. We're not going to do that because this is the only piece of Vegas paper I have in my possession. So it's kind of crude. 10. Archery. Just going to keep saying that. I feel like you should have to do a set of pull-ups and push-ups between every shot. I think I'd have it. No. I'm going to take my time. 10. Score them, round four. That's a 10, suckas. Looks like we have, since that one cut the line, we have a 9 and a 9. So the best we could do if we shot clean would be a 298 or something like that. But don't worry, my muscles are going to get tired here. I can see how this is fatiguing. And we've been getting back with about 30 seconds after the two o'clock. So we're ahead of schedule. And number five. I'm still going to go two clicks to the right. Only because I've seen Bodie Turner do this in competition. 10. That's a beauty. What a great relief. See, I need a fatty. I would have hit that X, dude. Yeah. So that's a 10. That's a good round for me. So these are Victory Extreme Velocities with a 100 grand glue in. And the Plasta Fletch from AEE 4-Vane with a slight offset. I ordered Sonics. And I'm just trying to copy cameraman Jeff. But I wanted to use Sonics. It's a 6 mil. And it's the same GPI as these. So I wanted to make some tac arrows. Flash target bow arrows. Things like that. They're just not here yet. So Victory is getting some love today. And number seven. And the title bow is cheating. That's what I've decided. I should do this with my compound. Thank you. I should just shoot animals. Like real ones. Can you tell? 20 yards away and I can't really tell. How much time, bud? So what we got guys is 20 yards. I'm in the gym. So I'm out of the wind a little bit. But I don't quite have 20 yards inside the gym. If I were to redo it, I would build a gym that is 60 yards long. I'm sorry. 20 yards long. Actually like 21 yards. So you have enough for a bail. And you can shoot indoor. Then I wouldn't have to go into a league and embarrass myself in front of peers. 9! This is my Sam Rogers arrow. Shout out to Sam. Sam's a buddy of mine. He was on the channel a couple weeks back on On The Pot. Just a normal dude who's really fun to shoot with. And he was telling us how he had a perfect 300 going into the last arrow. And then he completely missed all. Like, he hit the bell, but he didn't even hit the paper. Although that was cool to share that. This is the shot that I'm going to show that I am effing determined right now to make a good controlled shot. For you, Joel Turner. 10! Tell me I'm only good at shooting real animals. Which I'm not even that good at that. Archery, man. You can never perfect it. That's why we're always tinkering to find what gives us the most confidence. And that's really it. And target archery has opened up a whole new world for me to get mentally stronger. Let's head to the whiteboard and score them up. Just this is like the aftermath. Kind of like we're going to do a little report here. So, I made a mistake. I should have had multiple Vegas papers. Because I should have shot two practice ends on Vegas paper. I think I could have got rid of the clicks. I was pretty to the right for the first. I felt like I was fighting arrows to the right for the first three or four ends. Kind of got like I would say right about here. I kind of got it dialed or whatever. But super stoked about this. 297 13X. Shot from here. 20 yards out my shop door. I can't shoot indoors. I don't have 20 yards in this gym. It is a 30 by 40. I need to buy more Vegas papers and do the full warm up. I warmed up on a 3D target. Thought I was good. But Vegas really shows you good is not great. And you got to be great. Mentally I felt fine. Because I was pretty relaxed. I wasn't on the line with a bunch of people. It was a baseline. I knew I was kind of playing with house money. It didn't matter what I got. It was what it is. Rarely do you do better than you thought you were going to do. That was for me. That's a great score for me. With the title. I don't think I could do that with the lift. Shout out to round number 7 and 8. Clearing it. And for those that shoot all the rounds and have all the X's. I salute you. Mad respect. But yeah man I think it's cool to have a target bow. I think I'll do indoor winter league next year. And in the meantime I'm probably going to like I said put that bow on ice. And just keep getting reps with the lift. Because I am a bow hunter. Not a target archer. I got love for y'all. But if you're in the market for a target bow. I do recommend the title. It's my third target bow. And it's probably the most accurate. And it's fun to shoot. And you can shoot more reps with it and not pay the price. At the very end guys if we did something wrong. Please let us know. Like if I broke a ruler.
