Welcome back to Graceville, where God's love is everywhere. It's me, Pastor Anastasia,
and I'm so super duper excited that you join me today as we learn more about our best friend
Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us all the way from Peru, where my friend Saul
has prepared a beautiful song in his native language just for us. Let's listen in.
I can climb rocks and jump mountains. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I can climb rocks and jump mountains. Hallelujah, hallelujah.
Thanks, Saul! That was amazing! Boys and girls, remember, if you want to share your gifts and talents with Jesus,
please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me, and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
It's getting cold in here. It looks like it's snowing again, and I believe it might tie in with our nature feature for today.
Let's check out what Ryan and Katie have for us.
Hello, boys and girls, and welcome again to Nature Time at Graceville. Today, Katie is coming back to us with snow part two.
Let's see what she has for us today.
Last time I told you about snow. Today, let's learn about salty snow and ice.
I went to Delaware recently, and there it snowed on a beach. Snow and ice on a beach look really cool!
Do you see these waves? They are frozen. The salty ocean water makes it so that the frozen waves are kind of soft.
When I slid and walked in the snow, it felt squishy and elastic. That's why the big salt trucks put salt on snowy or icy roads,
so that the snow and ice are squishy instead of being slick and frozen solid. It makes our roads safer.
It's all because the salt changes the snow. The salt changes the snow and ice just like we can be the salt of the earth and change the world around us for Jesus.
How can you be like the salt?
Wow, Katie, that was amazing! And if you guys have something you want to share with us, tell your parents or guardians to contact Pastor Anastasia.
Bye, boys and girls. Thanks for tuning in. See you next time!
Welcome back! And right on time to check in on Nico. Let's find out what he's up to today. Let's go!
Hey, Pastor Anastasia.
What's that all about?
Well, my church decided to help us with refugees. I know it's a really cool thing, but my mom says that I have to participate as well.
She says I have to give away stuff that I wouldn't want to receive, but I just find it so complicated.
Actually, that's not bad at all. Projects like these challenge us to learn how to be sacrificial givers.
While it may seem difficult, no sacrifice could be greater than what Jesus did for us by giving his life to save us.
Remembering how he gave of himself makes it easier for us to help others.
Wait a minute! That reminds me of our theme for this week, which simply says,
Always Remember Jesus' Sacrifice.
Let me hear my little friend Shanisha in England say it.
Always remember Jesus' sacrifice.
And our memory verse is found in Hebrews 9 verse 28, and it simply says,
Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many.
Let me hear my little friend in the Cayman Islands say it.
Did you know that Christ was sacrificed once for the sin of many?
That's what the Bible tells us in Hebrews 9 verse 28.
Great job, everyone!
Hmm, well, when you put it that way, other clothes and toys aren't that much
when Jesus gave his everything on the cross.
Now you're tracking! God gave us a cool way to remember Jesus' sacrifice.
That's why today's story is about someone who shared a very special meal
with his disciples for the last time.
Can you guess who today's story is about?
Oh, I remember this one, Pastor Anastasia.
They shared bread and wine together that day.
It's the story of Jesus and the Last Supper.
That's right, Ariel. Today's story is about Jesus and the Last Supper.
Since the time of Moses, the Jewish people celebrated a festival called the Passover,
which came to be known as the Lord's Supper.
It reminded them of the miraculous way that God delivered them from Egypt.
Jesus and his disciples decided that they would celebrate the Passover in Jerusalem.
So, he sent some of the disciples ahead to prepare.
When everyone arrived, later that evening, Jesus stood up and blessed the meal.
He explained that the bread and wine represented his body and blood
that would soon be sacrificed for our sins.
As they ate, Jesus encouraged them to continue celebrating the Lord's Supper,
also known to us as Communion,
as a reminder of the great sacrifice that he made on the cross.
Wow! What a tasty way to remember how Jesus gave his all to save us.
I agree. Celebrating the Lord's Supper is all about remembering Jesus' sacrifice.
