And welcome back to Graceville, where God's love is everywhere.
It's me, Pastor Anastasia,
and I'm so over the top excited that you join
me today. As we learn more about our best friend, Jesus.
Today's special feature comes to us all the way from the
United Arab Emirates, when a place called Dubai,
where my friend, Jeremy has prepared a wonderful song just
for us. Let's listen in.
Hi, my name is Jeremy.
I'm going to play more versions of the song.
Lord, you are more precious than silver.
Lord, you are more beautiful than gold.
More beautiful than diamonds.
Thanks, Jeremy.
That was amazing.
Boys and girls.
Remember, if you want to share the cool things that we're
doing at home to have fun, please ask your parents or guardians
to inbox me, and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
Oh, boy.
I can't wait to find out what we're going to learn about
today at Nature Time with our friend Ryan from Canada.
Let's check it out.
Hello, boys and girls.
Welcome again to Nature Time at Graceville.
Today, we're going to be talking about moose.
My mom's friend sent a video of a moose wandering around
in her backyard.
Doesn't he look like a gentle giant?
The moose is the largest member of the deer family.
Male moose are called bulls, and females are referred to as cows.
A mature bull can stand as tall as some professional basketball
players.
They have big antlers that can grow up to 1.5 meters.
The antlers begin growing in the middle of summer and start out
soft and spongy, but then they become hard.
They use them to battle other bulls for mates.
In Ephesians chapter 4, verse 2, it says,
Be completely humble and gentle and patient,
bearing with one another in love.
Learning that their antlers started off spongy and soft
reminds me of how we started off as Christians.
The more we learn, the more we get stronger.
So let's be patient with one another because we're all still learning.
Bye, boys and girls.
See you next time.
There you are.
I was just about to check in on Nico.
I wonder, do you want to come with me?
Let's go.
Hey, Pastor Anastasia.
I'm so glad you're here.
You can help us decide.
Decide on what?
Well, for Pathfinders, we're doing an outreach.
My friend Bob said that we should do little sermons and songs.
But I see that we should bring snacks.
My friend Bob said it's more important to share the word of Jesus.
But if people are hungry, are they really going to listen to us?
Well, to be honest,
God wants us to care for both the physical and spiritual needs of his people.
That's all a part of sharing Jesus.
So instead of fussing about it, pray about it
and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to what's right.
He'll help you to make the right decision together.
That reminds me of our theme for this week, which simply says,
God's Spirit unites us.
Let me hear my friend Ava say it.
God's Spirit unifies us.
And our memory verse for today is found in Psalm 133, verse 1.
And it simply says how good and pleasant it is
when God's people live together in peace.
Let me hear my friend Fanoia from the Dutch side of St. Martin say it.
The scripture verse is taken from Psalm 133, verse 1.
And it says how good and pleasant it is
when God's people live together in peace.
Great job, everyone!
Now that I think about it, we could have done both projects all alone.
Why were we fighting about this?
It's all right, Nico. We all see things differently.
That's what makes us unique.
But as we work together as a team, we can do more for God.
That's why today's story is about another group of people
Can you guess who today's story is about?
I heard about this story before.
It was just after Pentecost.
It was about the early church.
That's right, Ariel!
Today's story is about the early church.
The disciples were very sad after Jesus left.
But that did not prevent them from sharing the good news about Him
and all that He had done.
People were so excited when they heard the disciples
that they decided to become followers of Christ as well.
As more people joined them,
Everything was going well until...
A big problem arose.
They were having a hard time working together.
The non-Jewish widows were not being treated fairly.
They were not getting the same amount of food as everyone else.
The disciples decided to put a plan in place
by selecting seven men called deacons
who were filled with the Holy Spirit to take care of the problem.
These men worked so well together as a team
that there were no more complaints.
As the Holy Spirit continued to guide the early church,
they remained united in their mission.
Whoa! It's amazing what we can do when we let God's Spirit unite us.
Exactly!
When the Holy Spirit guides us,
He leads us to work together in harmony and unity.
So let's surrender to His will today!
