Welcome back to Graceville, where God's love is everywhere. It's me,
Pastor Anastasia, and I'm so excited that you've joined me today as we learn more about our best
friend, Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us from right here in the United States,
where my friend, Andrew, has prepared a beautiful song just for us. Let's listen in.
I'm going to play This is My Father's World.
Amazing! Boys and girls, remember, if you want to share the cool things that you're doing at
home to have fun while we're staying in, please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me,
and I'd be happy to share it with our friends. Oh, wee! I can't wait to see what Brian has for us
today. Let's join him at nature time. Hello, boys and girls, and welcome again to nature time at
Graceville. Today, I'm in my backyard, and my friends, my friends, Alexandro and Matthias,
are going to show us their pets. When I saw these pets, I just knew they were special,
and I can't wait until you guys see them too. Let's tune in. Hi, this is our leopard gecko pet.
Leopard geckos are nocturnal, so that means they come at night time, and they eat mealworms and
insects. In the wild, leopard geckos live in deserts, and unlike other geckos, leopard geckos
don't have sticky fingers or toes. One line of defense for the leopard geckos is that they can
drop their tails to escape predators. Imagine you have to lose your beautiful tail. Do you know that
sometimes we have to drop some things? These things can stop us from living the life Jesus
wants us to live. It may be a TV show or video game, but I think it's best to give up a little
to be closer to Jesus. Hey, guys, there you are. Finally, I was just about to go check in on Nico.
Let's see what he's up to today. Let's go. Why can't I be brave? What do you mean?
Well, there's this kid at my school has been giving me a really hard time ever since I
started my Bible group studies because he doesn't believe in God. I've been trying to reach out to
him, but I'm too afraid. I understand, Nico. It's not always easy to stand up for God, especially when we
don't know how people will react, but if we give our fears and doubts to God, He will give us
courage and strength to face any challenge. Hey, wait a minute. That reminds me of our
theme for today, which simply says, God gives us strength. Let me hear my little friend say it.
God gives us strength. And our memory verse for today is found in Philippians 4, 13,
and it simply says, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Let me hear my friend,
Cathy Ann in Montserrat say it. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4, 13. Great job, everyone. Not only does God want us to be physically strong,
most importantly, He wants us to be spiritually strong so that He can use us to do great things.
Spiritual strength is exactly what I need right now. That's why today's story is about a man who
needed to be reminded that God is the true source of our strength. Can you guess what
today's story is about? Of course I know this one. He was the strongest man to ever live.
We're learning about Samson today. That's right. Today's story is about Samson.
Samson was a judge in Israel. He was also the strongest man to ever live. He fell in love with
a beautiful woman named Delilah. They seemed happy together, but there was one problem.
She was not faithful to God. Delilah was actually working with the Philistines,
the enemies of the Israelites, to capture Samson. But to do this,
they needed to know the source of Samson's great strength. So Delilah asked,
What makes you so strong? As Samson was warned to keep it a secret, he chose not to tell her.
He became so tired, though, of her questions that he gave in and told her the truth.
I'm a Nazarite, which means my hair should never be cut.
That night, Delilah cut his hair and called the Philistines. Samson tried to fight them off,
but it was no use. His strength was gone. Samson was so sorry and turned to God for help.
He prayed that God would give him strength. God answered Samson's prayer and strengthened him once
more. Filled with God's strength, Samson defeated more Philistines in one day than in his entire
lifetime. Whoa, Samson really lost his weight, but I'm glad he regained his strength at the end of
the day. Me too, but if we're not careful, the same thing can happen to us. That's why it's so
important that we surrender our lives completely to God and rely on Him and His Word to show us
the way. Remember, no matter what challenge you face, God gives us strength to overcome them all.
