Raising Unbelieving Israel From The Dead
Raising Unbelieving Israel From The Dead is another scheme Pheelan McPhalen tries to skirt the issue of the fulfillment of Christ's imminently fulfilled return in the first century. In fact, McPhelan claimed that the coming and therefore the resurrection of Israel begain in 1948. That can't be a physical resurrection nor coming of Christ.

Welcome back to the All Things To Feel channel.
We are continuing some responses to Phelan McPhelan, who is a historical premillennialist,
and in this video I'm going to be talking about raising rebellious Israel from the dead.
Now Phelan McPhelan says that the coming of Christ cannot occur because it depends on
national Israel obeying the gospel, and because they refuse to obey the gospel, that that
averted the coming of Christ.
It just obviated all the prophecies of God regarding the coming of Christ with time statements
that Phelan acknowledges are there in the scriptures, and yet he says they don't mean
anything because if Israel choose or chose not to obey God, then God changed His mind
about what He said He was going to do, not only for the unbelievers, but for the believers
as well.
And I find that absolutely just astoundingly irresponsible and incorrect.
But let's go on.
So he says that the unbelieving national Israel was dead, cast into the sea of nations.
Then he said they would be raised up again per Ezekiel 37 and the Valley of Dry Bones.
Now when you look at Ezekiel 37, 36 and 37 for that matter, it speaks of the 12 tribes.
That means the whole house of Israel, and that's what the text tells you, being gathered
under the Messiah in the last days when the new temple would be built.
Now the last days would be the last days of national Israel.
They were in the last days already because the scripture says that the law and the prophets
were until John.
But since that time, the kingdom of God is preached and every man presses into it.
That marked the last days, Hebrews chapter 1 verses 1 and 2.
So the scripture is telling us that they were in the last days when Christ was on earth
speaking to them, and those last days ran their course.
I'm going to address a little bit more of that in the following video that I do in responding
to the one he put out earlier, either today or this past week.
When Paul quotes from Ezekiel in 2 Corinthians chapters 3 through 7 in verse 1, he's talking
about the time of the new temple, and that's what's being discussed in those chapters,
particularly in chapter 6 when God says, you are the temple of the living God.
I don't know why these people want to make the temple made out of brick, mortar, and
stone when God says, heaven is my throne, the earth is my footstool.
What house will you build me, and where is the place of my rest?
That's Isaiah 66.
In Acts chapter 7, around verses 48 through 50, he says, but Solomon built him a house,
yet the Most High does not dwell in temples made with men's hands.
So what kind of temple are they talking about being built?
They think a temple is going to be built in Jerusalem, I don't care how many materials
they have over there, it's never going to be built as a temple of God because the temple
was already underway.
Jesus said, destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
What temple was he talking about?
After he rose from the dead, the disciples understood that he was speaking of the temple
of his body.
That's the church, and I would recommend a great book by G.K.
Beale, edited by D.A.
Carson, that you will read on the temple and the church.
It's an excellent book that demonstrates the temple of God, but if you don't want to invest
in a book, just read the scriptures.
The scripture talks about, and when it speaks of the temple in John chapter 4, he says,
The time is coming, and now is, when you will neither worship the Father on this mountain,
Mount Gerizim, or in Jerusalem.
So Jerusalem is not a geophysical or geocentrical central place for the building of the temple,
and yet that's what they're advocating.
That's what these premillennialists and dispensationalists advocate for the building of the temple.
The scripture says, when they looked at the holy city, he says, I saw no temple therein,
Revelation 21, 22.
Why?
For the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
The temple is now a person, just like it was when Jesus came.
The Bible says, in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God, all things were made by him, and without him nothing
was made that was made.
That's John 1, 1 through 3.
In verse 14 it says, and the Word was made flesh, and tabernacled among us, and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
So Jesus was the living, breathing, walking temple on earth at the time he was there,
and then when he died, he raised up a new temple in spiritual form in terms of the church,
and that's why it speaks about his being the chief cornerstone, et cetera.
It's not talking about his physical body.
That's talking about the spiritual body that he raised up, the house not made with hands.
But nevertheless, let's go on.
So when Paul talks about that, he's talking about this breath of life that God would breathe
into these dry bones of the whole house of Israel, that would be their resurrection from
the dead when he would bring them out of, in that situation, out of captivity, out of
exile into their own land.
Now when you understand what the true exile was, as we see in John chapter 8, when Jesus
told those Jews that if they would continue in my, his disciples that believed on him,
or the Jews that believed on him, he said, if you continue in my word, then are you my
disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
And they said, well, we're Abraham's seed.
We've never been in bondage to any man.
He says, those who are in sin are slaves of sin.
He says, that's your bondage.
That's what the bondage was.
It was not their being in the land, even though they were under Roman rule at the time.
But he says, whoever commits sin is the bond slave of sin.
And therefore, he says, if the son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
Free from what?
Free from sin.
And that's what Jesus came to do.
And so the breath of life that he would breathe in them would be the breath of the life of
the spirit, the new covenant of the life of God, animating them from the perspective of
their sin death to bring about a life in Christ.
And that's what constituted the resurrection.
And so he says, this would be when he poured out his spirit.
Now, when was the spirit poured out?
In the first century.
And how long would that spirit continue in terms of that eschatological outpouring?
According to Joel, chapter two, verses 28 through 32, the scripture says, I will pour
out my spirit in the last days.
Well, according to Micah seven and verse 15, that period of time was according to the days
of their coming out of Egypt, which was 40 years.
Acts chapter seven and verse 36 says that God worked these miracles and signs and wonders
during the time under Moses, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, when he was
bringing them out.
And then again, in Hebrews chapter three and the verse seven, God says, they tempted him
and saw my works.
Those are those works of power for 40 years.
So this is all focused around this 40 year timeframe.
Now, Phelan wants to say that there is nothing in the scripture regarding this 40 year timeframe.
And he speaks about that with the millennium.
I'm going to deal with that when we get to it later on in this series of studies.
But also in his statement that national Israel was dead and had been cast into the sea of
nations.
This message, Jesus gave the Jews, whom he called sons of Satan, if they did not believe,
saying that if you do not believe that I am he, speaking of his being the son of God,
he says, you will die in your sins.
And where I am, you cannot come.
Does that sound like a national conversion of Israel?
No, it sounds like those who did not believe.
And I make sure and I hope to make sure and make it clear that he's talking about the
rebellious ones.
He's talking about the unbelieving ones.
What Phelan wants to do is lump all of them into the same bowl.
And you can't do that because not all of them were unbelievers.
Who do you think the apostles were?
They were Israel too.
They were the ones along with those who obeyed their doctrine, which was the doctrine of
Christ were delivered, but they were part of the same nation.
So he didn't destroy all of them.
He didn't save all of them.
And neither had anything to do with whether the whole nation believed or not.
Some of them believed and some of them didn't, but nevertheless, let's go on.
And so he says, where I am, you cannot come.
Some of them were going to die in their sins and they did, but not all of them.
Now in John chapter eight, verses 51 and 52, we have to understand that there was no raising
of the unbelievers from the dead, but of those who did believe, here's what Jesus said.
He says, if any man keeps my word, whoever believes on me and keeps my word will not
taste death, shall not taste death.
If he believes on Christ and he believes his word, that's John eight and verse 51.
All right.
Whoever believes on me and keeps my word shall never taste death.
Well, here's what the Pharisees said.
The Jews came back and said, now we know you have a devil.
And this is what people say about predators, because we say that the resurrection has occurred.
They say, well, these guys have demons, but that's what the Jews said to Jesus.
Do you think Jesus got all bent out of shape about it?
Do you think that he was worried or that any skin fell off of his back because they were
calling him a demon or saying, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.
All right.
So the Jews come back and say, now we know you got a devil because Abraham is dead.
The prophets are dead.
Now who is he appealing to?
Who is, who are they referring to?
They are referring to faithful men under the old covenant.
Abraham is dead.
The prophets are dead.
And so how do you say, if a man keep my word, he shall never see death.
See what they're doing is they're calling Jesus a liar.
They're saying he doesn't know what he's talking about.
They're saying, Jesus, you got it all wrong.
But they were talking about two different kinds of death.
The Pharisees didn't get it.
Jesus was talking about sin death, being raised out of sin death and not perishing as a result
of sin death.
And they were talking about physical death.
They missed it.
Just like Philand and these people who are advocating a future physical resurrection
miss it as well.
In the 11th chapter of John verses 25 and 26, Jesus said, I am the resurrection and
the life.
You see, the resurrection is a person.
It's a person and a relationship with that person.
I am the resurrection and the life.
He who believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
And he who lives and believes in me shall never die.
He who lives and believes in me shall never die.
And that's what he asked.
He says, do you believe this?
And of course she said, yes, Lord.
Now it sounds like, and I'm not sure if that's what he's advocating is the doctrine of purgatory
or something.
If he thinks, you know, all those who died in sin are going to be raised with national
Israel from death, even in their sins, when Jesus said they cannot come.
You see, the whole problem with this doctrine is that it's borrowed from the catechisms
of Catholicism.
That's what futurism is.
That's what amillennialism is.
And I don't know why he keeps trying to associate full preterist with amillennialism.
I used to be an amillennial, amillennialism, I'm not anymore.
That was years ago, decades ago, almost a half a century ago.
And but anyway, here we are looking at this point.
And so the dead ones in AD 70 were already raised.
They were raised from the dead in 70 AD.
Those old covenant saints that Paul talked about in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 were raised
from the dead in 70 AD.
So there are no more dead ones following that point that were to be raised.
And there were those who were the living who were changed.
So moving forward, there is no more resurrection of dead ones because they've already been
raised.
The unbelievers would not be raised.
And therefore, those who believe never die.
So they don't need to be raised.
That's the simplicity of it.
The Jews perished, John 3 16, if they did not believe, the Bible says, for God so loved
the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him, whoever believes
in him should not perish, but have everlasting life or the life of the age.
Now then he says that the beginning of their the beginning of their rising was in 1948.
The Jews, the ethnic Jews began to rise from the dead in 1948 when the Zionist Jews, about
85% of whom, according to my good friend, Don Preston, says are atheists and mostly
descendants of Ashkenaz or czars that illegally and militarily took land and are continuing
to do so right before our eyes in broad daylight from the Palestinians.
And those are the people that he's referring to as Israel.
But Israel was already being raised in the first century.
According to first Corinthians chapter 15 verses 42 through 44.
If you look at the present middle or passive verbs in the text, it says it is being sown
in incorruption.
It is being raised in incorruption.
It is being sown in weakness.
It is being raised in power.
It is being sown in dishonor.
It is being raised in glory.
It is sown a natural body.
It is raised a spiritual body.
So that was already occurring.
That's why the text also says in verse 26, the last enemy being destroyed is death.
Why do they want to ignore the language in the text and take it out of the first century
when the apostle Paul said that is what was taking place in the first century.
Israel was already being raised.
Second Corinthians chapter 3 and verse 18.
They were already being transformed from glory.
That's the glory of the old covenant to the glory of the new.
That's the glory of the ministration of death to the ministration of righteousness.
But he wants to wait until 1948.
Well if you wait to 1948 when Hal Lindsey talked about it, Hal Lindsey said, 40 years
from now, God or Christ is going to come.
See, that was supposed to have been the national conversion of Israel.
That's what they were saying.
40 years happened and what happened?
Mud and egg on the face.
1988, nothing happened.
Even egg or was not.
Changed the date to 1989 and again, nothing happened.
It should be well known that the Khazarian Jews were descendants of Ashkenaz from the
line of Japheth.
They were not from the line of Shem.
Genesis chapter 2 and verse 3, chapter 10 verses 2 and 3.
They are not descendants of Abraham through Shem.
Linguistic studies have traced their origin to Turkey, both in their language and genetics.
Not to Israel, not to Palestine and according to some, and these videos are circulating
on the internet, DNA studies are outlawed in Israel.
Even though that's the case, some have actually taken their DNA studies or done the DNA research
and those who are supposed to be Jews have done that and found out that they're European,
that they're not Jews, they have no, they're not connected to Semitic people.
So that's the point of it.
Now we're not saying that a person who was not Semitic or didn't speak a Semitic language
could not convert to Judaism.
They could or could not convert to spiritual Israel, the Israel of God, because he is a
Jew who is not one outwardly, neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh,
but he is a Jew who is one inwardly and circumcision is that of the heart and the spirit whose
praise is not of men, but of God.
And that leaves out any ethnicity in terms of becoming a Jew.
That's why Paul stated that they all became one in Christ.
Now when I interviewed David Weiss of the religious organization called the Kuri Karta,
hope I'm pronouncing it correctly, and that was done, you know, over a decade ago, maybe
15 years or more, he said the following, he says, Israel went into exile because they
rebelled against God.
Now I don't, you know, you've got the Zionist Jews on one hand and they call the people
like David Weiss who are not Zionist Jews, they call them self-hating Jews.
But this is what he said, I don't agree with either of their doctrinal stance in terms
of their being Jews just based on the fact that, you know, they are ethnic descendants
and they have entitlement to the land.
But Israel went into exile because they rebelled against God, he said.
They were not to use force or military power to re-enter the land, which seems that Philemon
McPhalen approves of the force, I'm not saying that he does, but if he claims that those
are the Jews, then why does he not, you know, and they're supposed to go back into the land,
why does he not approve of the genocide and the baby killing and, you know, killing of,
you know, these civilians, which is against international law, it's a crime, why does
he approve of it?
Even former President Trump said to Netanyahu's face that they were committing terrorist acts
against the people, yep, doesn't faze the historical preliminaries that all these things
are going on.
They were strictly forbidden to return to the land until the coming of the Messiah.
So if 1948 was the coming of national Israel back into the land, why didn't Christ come
in 1948?
Or as we said, 40 years later, in 1988.
And then, fourthly, he says they were to seek the peace of the nations among whom they had
been scattered per Jeremiah.
Now let me close on this point.
McFarland acknowledges and admits that all of Luke chapter 21 refers to 70 AD.
But he says that the Jews were scattered in 70 AD.
I suppose he hasn't read down far enough to verse 28 through 32, where it says the following,
and he's speaking to his disciples who were Jews, saying that when they saw those things,
look up, lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near.
Now that didn't just apply to Peter, James, John, and Andrew, who were present on that
occasion.
That applied to all the Jews of the nation who followed their teaching, all of those
they converted.
And there were myriads of Jews who did so, according to the New Testament.
You can see that in the book of Acts.
Then he said, after giving the example of the fig tree, he says, so likewise you, when
you see these things, know that the kingdom of God has drawn near.
Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things
take place.
Now you're going to tell me that God redeemed these Jews along with Gentiles in 70 AD.
You're going to tell me that you can't see that?
That you're blind to what that text says?
And you want to say that the apostles were scattered?
That all the people they taught were scattered?
Just so you can get your mass conversion of Jews who didn't obey, who wouldn't repent
after 40 years of God's long-suffering, and then deny the coming of Christ, which by the
way is in verse 27 of the same chapter, that Christ would come on the clouds before that
generation passed.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, that's the message.
