Fifth Macedonian with redurté grace
Fifth Macedonian Legion with gratitude upon return
Sweet is your course, sweet is your course
Go far and test
Our virtue, small as it is, still leads you, lad.
In Macedonia, the distant terraces
We advance, witnessing the might of the legion
Fifth Legion, ready for battle
Our virtue burns with a perpetual flame
Inasmuch as our military name is known
With shield and sword, we carve out our path
For you, I stretch, sincerely I dare
In Macedonia, the distant terraces
We advance, seeing the might of the legion
Fifth Legion, ready for battle
Our virtue burns with a perpetual flame
Fifth Legion, with virtue and grace
Macedonica, we lead the course
For far and near
Our banners are raised high
Of the customs of those who held power in Rome
For the glory of Rome, we fight.
Fifth Legion, strong from faithfulness
The Lord lives in all that we do.
When Rome stood, proud and free
The Fifth Legion will write history.
