Sure as hell after me, I just robbed him.
You just betrayed him.
You just killed his BFF.
And you're dumb enough to be building a case against him.
So unless we all want to die very unpleasant deaths and
let Roman go finger fishing in the kid's intestinal tract,
we're gonna have to work together.
So why do you think the WWE universe should check out Birds of Prey?
Cuz there's a lot of amazing stunts and fighting in it, cool costumes.
I mean, it's practically the WWE.
On cinema.
Yeah.
It's entertaining, fun, big personalities, cool fighting, cool costumes.
I feel like we have that in common.
Pretty much is the WWE, but in the DC universe, pretty much.
So many WWE superstars are inspired by Harley Quinn, myself included.
Why do you think so many people are drawn to the character of Harley Quinn?
She's fun and she's unpredictable, and I think that just makes for
a super entertaining character in her former life as Harley Quinzel was
a gymnast, which gives her a different range of skills when fighting as well.
She was also a psychiatrist, so she's incredibly smart.
She's fascinating and funny and fun and unpredictable.
Harley Quinn's seriously my favorite.
Why do you like her?
I just love that she's unapologetically herself.
And like you said, unpredictable, and I just love any persona or
character or person that can be themselves and not feel bad about it and
embrace it and embrace how different they are.
Yeah.
I've always been a big fan of that.
Question for Ella Jay.
So for people who might not know, Cassandra Cain, who is she and
how does she fit into the DC universe?
So Cassandra Cain, she is kind of the street kid.
And she is very independent, yet
misguided, because she doesn't really have a family in Gotham.
She's an orphan, she's jumping from foster cares.
So I think throughout this movie, she really finds that guidance and
finds that family, and she, I mean, she's not the nicest,
but she's a little meanie-poo, but.
Yeah, but I love Cassandra Cain.
So in the movie, you team up with Hartley Quinn.
How do you guys think you would be as a WWE tag team?
Amazing.
That'd be awesome.
She's like, I think the size difference would work in our favor.
There's a cool bit where you can slide through someone's, like a big dude's legs,
and then I can throw something at his head.
And she's also got amazing pickpocket skills.
There you go.
I think the whole sleight of hand thing could just be an added advantage there.
I think people would look at the two of us and underestimate us, and
then they would be really sorry that they did.
I like that answer.
I like that.
Can I join the WWE?
Yes, I'm loving this.
Journey, so how do you think your character in Birds of Prey would do as
a WWE superstar, and what would you think your signature maneuver would be?
Well, here's the thing.
She's got a canary cry, so there's literally no one who could be her ass.
She's got a mean back kick in the comics.
I like the spinning one.
Yeah, the spinning heel kick.
That one's cool.
It was like a-
The one where you smash the door with the glass?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I like that one, too.
It's a cool trailer moment.
Yeah, it's a really good trailer.
I was like, okay, look at us.
Yeah, I tried to do it for something else I was working on, and yeah,
it was really hard.
Incredibly hard.
It was fun, though.
I bet.
All that stuff's always so much fun, especially when you get to kick butt in
the process, which actually brings me to my last question.
Mary Elizabeth, why is it so important for
audience to see women kicking butt in movies?
I think the way to me that it's important is because we've seen men do it for
so long in so many various different ways.
And I think it's important for
women to get to see themselves reflected in every way on screen.
So I think reflected back at women watching it, it's gonna be a lot of fun
for them to watch and for them to maybe get to feel that empowerment leaving
the theater.
I think it's great and it's important to get to share with them.
And I'll just tag on the end of that.
I've watched action films with male characters all my life and loved them and
adored them and totally identified with the characters every step of the way.
There's no way a dude wouldn't watch this film and
feel the same way about these characters.
They're just, they're fun and engaging and they all have a lot of issues, but
they all kick ass and whether you're a guy or a girl,
I think you're gonna be along for the ride.
