Day #2 Why Huskies? VEDA Day 2 Vlog Every Day in April

There's Shiloh. There's Shelby. Hey, we're doing day two. We decided to do it outside again, because it's really nice out. So you hear a lot of background noise and cars going by and stuff like that, but... We just had to vlog outside again today. So I got a question from Blue Wolf on Twitter today, and he wanted to know why Huskies? And I get asked that a lot. People always want to know why we got Huskies. Part of the reason, I think, is because they can really keep up with their energy level. Jamie and I like to go camping. We like to go hiking. We like to go biking. We're outdoors people and Huskies are a very high energy breed that needs a lot of exercise and they're actually able to keep up with us in things we want to do. So I think that's probably the main reason why we got Huskies. Shiloh's laying on the... laying on the porch behind me. Honestly, we had never really planned to get Huskies. It wasn't like, this is the breed we're gonna get. We've always wanted one. I grew up with St. Bernard's. Jamie grew up with Cocker Spaniels. I honestly always thought that I would have a St. Bernard and when we worked at the pet store out in Arizona, Shiloh came into the store and she was sick. She was just in really bad shape and we kind of both fell in love with her and then when they told us they were gonna put her down, we kind of just couldn't let that happen and that's kind of the short version of how we ended up with Shiloh. Shiloh was five years old when we got Shelby. And I mean by then we were pretty much addicted to the breed. We liked, like I said, the fact that they could go everywhere with us, do everything with us, keep up with us. If we wanted to hike seven miles back to a waterfall, they were right there to go. So I'd have to say that's probably why we got Huskies is because they are a high-energy breed and that's also a reason why they're not in everybody breed. You can probably hear that in the background. The neighbors are working on the house across the street there. Didn't realize they'd be working. So anyway, this is our day two of VEDA.
