Riding Rain

So we are somewhere here out in the wild west and I thought I'd show you how I track rain when we're riding because this morning we've kind of put off breakfast and lunch here as we're running into the rain that's coming in here. So we're trying to get as close to the face of this storm as we can before we stop to eat and hopefully let most of it pass. We have got another 300 maybe 30 miles to go to get to our first destination for the hot bike tour. That's where we're headed. We're headed to Arizona. We are going to run the hot bike tour with all the baddest and raddest builders in the country. It's me, my buddy Freddie Nograms, he's in there and my buddy Fort Myers or Russ. There he goes now and let me tell you these boys can ride. It's nice to have guys sharing the miles with me to share all the experiences with but also it's cool to have guys that are fun to ride with. I use the powered zero 3d mount. My phone just slides in like that. It doesn't fall out. It can't fall out and then you can lock it down extra tight like that but it makes it really easy to take it in and out with one hand on the road. You just take it out and put it in. My radar app I use is called MyRadar. If I put back to my home screen you see it there MyRadar on Apple. That's the radar app I use and you can set it so it only shows you rainfall and not cloud cover so you know really know where you need to be to get away from that rain. So this is kind of my setup for tracking rain and trying to stay dry the best I can when I'm on the road. I've been leading. I haven't yet told the guys what I've been looking at. I'm sure they felt the rain out there on the road but let's have a quick word with them. What you got there Freddie? Breakfast of champions. Going for the electrolytes. I was just telling them that we have not had breakfast or lunch or anything of the sort yet today. Yes we're just on the move. Yes. Have you felt the rain? No. It's coming in. I could feel the moisture change in the air. So I pulled up my app. It looks like we are going to hit it in about 60 miles. So my plan is to try to get to Gallup. Get some lunch there. Sit down. Hopefully we can let most of it pass us before we get on. So that's why I've. I know we said we're gonna stop at 100 miles but that's why I kept going. All right. Cool. The bike's running good. Another thing I love about having the powered mount. You can actually you know plug in a USB port right there and charge your phone. Okay. The Indian does have a powered mount in here as well but you plug it in there and you can't see your phone. So it's nice to have the powered mount even if you're on a dresser. And if you don't have a dresser and you don't have USB ports then it's an absolute must-have. I don't I don't know if your gas station has that view but that is one magnificent gas station view. That is a beautiful gas station view. This side of the country is so gorgeous. Really is. Well we hit a little rain. Just a little captain but we will survive. We survived. Doing good. Tried to uh tried to miss it all. We stopped had a little breakfast lunch slash what do they call they call that brunch don't they? Had a little brunch but um the rain was just sitting still so we just had to gear up and crush through it. And uh Freddie came on the road trip without any rain gear. So he had to just man up and ride through it. No rain gear. But it wasn't that bad. We're through it now. It looks good. And now we are just trying to decide whether we take some back roads from Winslow here down into Camp Verde or if we go up through Flagstaff. What do you think Freddie? I think we're having a great day of riding. A great day of riding? Bikes are staying cool. Are you dried out? Oh yeah. I say we take it. Yeah back roads it is. Back roads? Absolutely. Let's go. sometimes you win and sometimes you lose and sometimes it calls you right come to my table come to my bed go easy my hunger easy my head bringing me fire bringing me water taking me high taking me down be your pretty give me your messy give me your happy give me your sad i may be staying dude tell me you saw that big bull elk up on the ridge was that thing wicked or what did you see it too man i came around the corner i was recording recording i set the camera down and i came around i set the camera down i looked up on the road and i came around that corner yeah and all of a sudden i just saw a big old head of antlers pick up and look at me i think oh man wild table come to my bed go easy my hunger easy my head bringing me fire bringing me water taking me high taking me down you're scared of heights you're scared of heights dude bad this is the wrong place for you bad dude i can't even get through that edge that's the closest you can go right there that's it man you can't go no further don't worry bros there's a guardrail right here yeah there's a guardrail really big guardrail nothing to worry about for toddlers it's not like you can fall off this is one of the best days of my life yes i love to hear that and that my friends is about three hours of sleep in us from last night and you know southern arizona gets a bad rap because they think the grand canyon is so beautiful but look at this yeah this is pretty neat so this is an old miner's mining town is what the story is and everybody was getting very very sick so there i'll bring them to this hotel so like literally thousands of people have died inside this hotel oh so three more tonight hey look how close you are to that rail i'm proud of you yeah cool right yeah and now tomorrow morning we'll ride through these mountains this way yeah back which is one of my favorite rides all right y'all that's it for the video we might make some some some footage of this thing and run b-roll in another video or make a video on the place itself but this is where i'm going to cut it for this video we appreciate y'all following us we appreciate your support we suppreciate we suppreciate supprecious supprecious stick yes yeah we're all very supprecious stick of you all right y'all until the next video remember if you have not smashed that subscribe button please do it makes all the difference in the world for me thank you to all of my sponsors who help make this happen every day and uh you'd all remember man get out there enjoy our beautiful country on two wheels life short buy the damn motorcycle
