Everton were defeated 2-1 at West Ham United on Saturday afternoon, conceding a Callum Wilson stoppage-time winner after a dramatic finish at the London Stadium.
West Ham edged ahead through Tomas Soucek’s header early in the second half, the Czechia international finishing at the near post from Jarrod Bowen’s well-placed corner delivery.
Everton were denied what appeared to be a clear penalty-kick for handball just five minutes from time but equalised through a thumping Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall volley moments later.
The Toffees looked promising in their search for a second, but the Hammers couldn’t be counted out. Wilson on 92 minutes took the game away from David Moyes’ men.

Get hold of it but can't. Somerville runs into James Garner, he does release Barry.
Barry goes for goal and the keeper is forced into a save. It wasn't really one that's
troubled Hermansen too much. From the centre circle he goes long looking for Mikalenko down
the left-hand side. He's got there, close to the corner quadrant. He's held on to the ball and
brought in Ilimanenjai for Everton. Faced by Bowen, goes away from him with ease. Slots it across to
McNeil, edge of the box, back with Ilimanenjai and Jai trying to keep it. He just couldn't get
the route for a shot and it runs through to the keeper. And quite rightly we get on with the game
and the corner for West Ham. Swung in and headed in by Thomas Suchek. And the corner sent in by
Dewsbury Hall and headed away by that man, Martha Panos again, who seems to be on the end of everything
inside the penalty area. And it's blocked inside the six-yard box and hooked away by De Sassi.
Garner, corner of the penalty area for Dewsbury Hall. Across the face of the penalty area,
Irok Burnham declines the opportunity to shoot. Picks out Tyrek George. George chips it in, Barry
oh how did that stay out? It was headed onto the crossbar and away. Oh no, I can't believe that.
That looked a certain equalizer but a West Ham head deflected it onto the crossbar
and it stays out. Ball with Tieno Barry and the Everton players appealing here for handball.
This is a better angle because you see the hand touch the ball there. It's a penalty. And you can
see the deviation on the ball and all those Everton fans can clearly see it. Of course. Alcaraz to find
Mikulanko, his ball in. It's Tida Pia for Dewsbury Hall. Volleyed home brilliantly with two and a
half minutes of the 90 to play. Now Freddie Potts helps it on to Malik Jouf. Malik Jouf's ball in,
far post, headed back across and put home by Callum Wilson.
