THE GEM MUSEUM SINGAPORE PRECIOUS GEMSTONES

You may not know that we have this kind of museum but now I'm going to tell you I'm going to show you what is inside this museum all right are you ready let's go let's go country and size food and culture reviews and teas are you ready? The gem museum is the first gem and minerals museum in Singapore it is founded by husband and wife Mr. Taekon Ming and Ms. Lo Kuei Ying and it is open to the public since 2015. It features a wide variety of gemstones and minerals from all corners of the world. Its purpose is to educate visitors on the mine to market pipeline with regards to value authenticity and quality like I said, this is a very easy tour and you can look around yourself and ask questions about the gems and minerals so the museum starts from here all the way to upstairs basically the concept of the museum is the mine to market story like the journey of the gem starting from the formation of the rocks and then how they are mined how they are cut and how they are marketed that has a gem there so you can see here here is the first stop all the raw ones, the raw minerals the natural form then it goes all the way in so basically the whole museum is started by my boss so he wants to share his passion and also it's more like a family business basically his father is a gemologist he is a gemologist and then his father most of the time he collects the minerals from different countries and to share their interest to the public I mean it's a very niche subject not many people knows about them and even though it's really niche you can't really find a place where you can learn about them so is it like a personal collection? yes, most of them they are a personal collection but if people wanted to buy will they sell it? or no? so it's just like a museum I'm just curious about that yes, most of the specimens here are permanent specimens how do we define rare minerals? how how their crystal shape is how distinct is their crystal shape for example the crystal in the behind this is an amethyst crystal you can tell by the crystal shape itself it's very distinct the edges are very sharp the color is not as deep as the normal amethyst but it has a pastel tone to it so that is what the minerals collectors want in the minerals just like in superman the more distinct the crystal shape is the higher the value this one as well it has a very distinct shape alright that's the end of our adventure here at the Gen Museum Singapore Viejeros I hope you like it I know you love me so what are you waiting for? please do subscribe hit the notification bell like and share so you will be updated on all our video uploads alright, spread love, not hate bye
