I just bent my ******* nail back!
Not a baby shirt though, I don't really like babies.
And I want to look cute! I want to look like a Christmas ornament on stage!
Hey guys, this is Bennie and today I am going to be showing you around my wardrobe.
My Bennie wardrobe.
Okay. Basically, my wardrobe looks different every tour.
The last tour we were on, we had a bunch of custom advisory looks.
And this tour, I've been going for inspired by Harajuku style, I would say.
Just mixing patterns and textures and everything being very colourful.
And basically basing them around my Bennie boots, which I'll show you soon.
Yeah, I'm pretty proud of this wardrobe case, as you can see.
I've done some decorating.
But no, I need to organise it a little bit more.
But it's... it just travelled... ooh, that's really messy, I'm so sorry.
But look, I have all the art that people give me on tour and little gifts.
I've been getting a lot of bracelets, it's been very, very cute.
But I keep everything and I take it with me.
Someone gave me this. I don't know what it is but I love it.
It's so silly.
But it's so nice to have a wardrobe case.
Oh, it's really messy in every... I promise I'm not normally like this.
You should see my room, it's actually kind of tidy right now.
Look at these. Like, are you joking?
Anyways, I'm a hoarder, so I'm going to keep these all forever.
And yeah, I just basically travel around the world with this thing.
And it really just takes care of me and my clothes.
Let's start with tops.
I normally, in this one, which is a little bit random right now, has got tops in it.
I have all sorts of tops. Oh, those are pants.
This is good, it's actually making me organise everything.
There's a bunch of shirts in there that I... I haven't worn any of these yet.
Uniqlo. Look at that. Wrap it.
This one I love, oh my gosh.
This is a Perks and Mini t-shirt that I have worn once on this tour and I wore it on the Laneway tour that we just came from in Australia.
And they're an Australia brand and I just love wearing a little t-shirt on stage.
Not a baby shirt though, I don't really like baby t-shirts.
And in here I also have more shirts.
Adidas were very generous to me in Australia.
This is a little... I'm going to be extremely hot wearing that on stage, but it'll be good, it'll be good.
What is this? This is by Bambi, that's also another Australian brand.
That's also going to be really hot, so I'm kind of putting off those ones to last, I think, you know.
These, S-D-B-R, these are quite gothic.
A little gothic for me, but I have been wearing them and trying to make them not too scary.
It's worked, it's worked. It's been good.
This is another Purps and Mini t-shirt that I love.
I wore this at the Auckland Laneway show, so I'm waiting to wear it.
I might wear it in New York, or maybe LA. It's one of my favourites.
I wore it with this little skirt, which is... what's her name?
This is an Australian designer, who's really, really cool.
I can't remember her name.
But, love, it's a great outfit.
I don't know where this is from, but this is really cute.
Just a little camo number.
This is actually going to make me clean this, because this is actually insane.
This little t-shirt, long sleeve, sorry.
I don't know where this is from, but I really like this one.
What does that say?
Petty.
It's pretty cute, but you know what I made?
Ow!
I just bent my ******* nail back!
This has been, actually, my biggest obstacle on this tour, is I bent my nail back.
And then my real nails, and it really ******* hurts.
You don't even need to see that. It's way, way, way bad.
I just keep getting caught on everything.
That's mostly what I have for tops.
There are a few dresses, which I haven't worn yet, because I honestly am so self-conscious in dresses.
But I'm going to probably get in there at some point.
This is a Emily Watson custom.
She is definitely one of my favourite designers.
She's Australian, and her clothes are made with this material that feels like a rash shirt that you go swimming in.
So, I love her.
I actually have, okay, so if you see in here, this is where I have, this is another Emily Watson skirt.
I have a yellow one.
I have a brown one.
This is reminding me that I have all of these right now.
And I have a black one, which is freaking cute as heck.
She's probably one of my favourite designers.
I also have these little shorties that she made.
And then I have a black version of those, which is, these are really cute.
And they're also cute for layering, because you just have these little ribbons that fall down.
Love.
But yeah, I wear a lot of her stuff.
Yeah, things that I've been gravitating towards, I mean, I base every outfit around my beanie boots, which I'll show you now.
I have been making these beanie boots since probably midway through last year.
And I've been doing them with a collab with Advisory, Keith, who's actually my boyfriend as well.
But I wear these every night, and it's been really fun to just base all of my outfits around them.
And I have so many colours.
I've got pink.
Am I colourblind? I just said I've got pink.
These are blue.
I've got blue, pink, brown, red, and I want to make every colour the rainbow.
Eventually.
But I do those are my staples.
And then I've been wearing this sculptural armour, which is a motif of this album Roll Out.
Which is basically having this armour on that is actually, it's soft, you know?
So it's kind of like against what armour would usually be made out of.
And using these different kinds of materials.
So I also made this with Advisory.
And it was really fun to pick out all the fabrics.
I wanted to have a lace one, which has actually turned out to be my favourite on tour.
Just because it looks really cute with everything.
I also have this kind of more gothic, black studded, almost tinsel like material as well.
These are all custom made.
Shout out to Lucy.
And yeah, these are really, really cool.
And have been very, I mean, I've worn them also in every music video.
So I've got one in here.
Oh my gosh, skirt.
Excuse me.
I've got one in here that is a custom Swarovski crystal armour.
Which I've just wrapped in like a bunch of random stuff.
Let me see what's going on in here.
Oh my goodness.
This one is the heaviest.
It's also probably the most beautiful, but this one is insane.
I'm very proud of this.
Belongs in a museum.
And I will put her in there.
Oh, she gets caught on everything.
But we love her.
How do I put together my outfits?
Honestly, I usually just have a look in here.
And something catches my eye that maybe I haven't worn yet.
And today, where did I just put that outfit?
Put it in here.
Today was this pink shirt.
Which I still need to try on.
Which is by Bambi.
And I basically was like, what would go cute with this?
And then I saw this little spotty, was it sweet one skirt?
Which was hanging up in here.
I was like, these would look really cute together.
But then I thought maybe it's a bit basic.
So I was like, what if I put them with blue beanie boots?
I don't know, make it a little bit crazier or something.
And then I have been...
I've been wearing these clips that I've made at every show.
Sorry, I've got some hair. Sorry, my hair.
You can probably see that.
I need to redo it.
But these I've been wearing every night.
And I have so many of them.
These ones I'm actually giving to people.
Like, there's just a lot of really random...
These are fake teeth.
But I'll show you some more.
It's a walnut.
A lobster.
What's that?
Oh, these were from a fish tank that I had.
What is this?
Oh, there's a little person.
But these have been really fun to wear.
Because they just make the outfits more interesting.
And the little Barbie heels look neat.
So, those also, I think, tie the outfits together.
When it comes to accessorising and making things more interesting.
I also have some hair.
I guess, yeah, haircuts have been a big thing for me lately.
I think since growing up, my bangs.
I have a lot more in here that I've been wearing.
There's like a...
Oh, this one's crazy.
It's like a basket that I filled with food.
I bought these, like, tiny bricks.
This one has a sticker of Mary on it.
I love just how random it...
Look, this is an iPad.
It's like...
So, yeah, I buy the clips.
I've been going on Etsy and just, like, finding a bunch of little materials and stuff.
Some of the things I just find at home.
Like these Lego...
These Lego characters and things.
These sequins I found in a charity store.
And I just, like, decided to put them all over it.
But it's been a lot of fun.
And I've basically been doing that every night on tour.
I've found it very therapeutic.
Oh, this, literally.
That is Jesus.
You see that? That came off a rosary bead that I had at home.
Rosary beads that broke.
So...
It's been a lot of fun.
And also, just, I've been clipping people during the show.
Like, giving out three clips per show.
Which has been really cute and silly.
But...
Oh! I forgot.
I've also been wearing tights a lot.
Like, all of these crazy tights.
These...
Very colourful ones.
I've got a lot of printed ones.
These are Ashley Williams stuff.
These, like...
These look very Beetlejuice.
Actually, this is a sleeve.
Wait, I was actually looking for this.
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.
I mean, I worked with Imogen Wilson, who is in Australia.
Who does a lot of my photos down under.
And also helps me with styling.
So she basically got everything together for me.
And now I've kind of been able to mix and match.
And...
Yeah, I kind of have free reign over here in the States.
Yeah, I mean, a lot of the designers I find through my stylist.
But also a lot of them, especially on this run.
I have kind of said that I wanted stuff from.
So...
For Emily Watson, that was one that I definitely knew that I wanted.
Advisory, obviously.
It's Keith.
He also made this for me.
But I knew that I wanted to work with him.
And those clothes on tour as well.
And then there's other things.
Like, I hadn't known about this designer.
Previously.
Let me just not get her name wrong.
Dole Parts.
So I found out about this designer.
When I was in Australia.
And I was doing a shoot for Rush Magazine.
And basically, I was like, I think I need this.
In my life.
And, I mean.
It's just so cute.
It even looks cute on pants, you know.
And I just knew that it would be a good staple.
To have on this tour.
I also have a lot of Blondita.
Who is a designer.
Based out of LA.
And I love her work.
It's just really cute.
And...
I don't know.
It's just really cute.
Yeah, daytime versus stage is definitely different.
Definitely very different.
I mean, look at me.
People think that I'm in pyjamas.
Which I'm not.
But, definitely comfort over anything.
Because I'm just on the bus.
Wake up.
I go to the gym.
And then, I'm kind of just either playing Fortnite.
Making hair clips.
Or watching True Crime in the back room of the bus.
So what am I going to wear?
I'm going to wear my sweatshirt and hoodie.
Pretty much.
So that's me right now.
And then, when it comes to show.
It has to be elevated, you know.
And I love wearing skirts.
Obviously with my boots.
I think the skirts work the best.
And I want to look cute.
I want to look like a Christmas ornament on stage.
I don't think I've got my other one of these.
But this is one that I've been saving.
I actually wore this at my album release show.
And this is a Chopo Balowina skirt.
Dented the bank.
But was worth every penny.
I am such a fan of their work.
And this is just insane.
It's like hand beaded.
They use a lot of really old vintage fabrics.
And basically, once they've done with the fabric.
It's kind of one of one, technically.
But I have one more of their skirts.
I don't think I actually bought it.
I should have bought it.
I would have worn it.
But I love the skirt.
I just wanted to show you that.
I don't have my makeup handy.
I have an eyeliner look.
I have, what is it, Pat McGrath.
I have a makeup eyeshadow palette.
I love just putting sparkles on.
What else do I use?
I use NARS bronzer and blush.
But I like to look cute on stage.
I'll show you.
I've got some jewellery in this bag.
I found another Benny clip.
And this is another clip by Perks and Minnie.
Which is that t-shirt that I showed you before.
I love their stuff.
Some of my rings that I sometimes wear on stage.
These two are by this Australian jeweller called Sunday Stephens.
And this one is by Chills.
China Lily Rose.
This was a custom.
And she is a friend in New Zealand.
I love wearing rings.
I'll put them on right now.
Okay, the black boots.
These are the skunk boots.
So far I've only been selling the black ones and the pink ones.
On my website and at the shows.
These have been the best seller.
I guess because black goes with the pink.
But they look like skunk.
So I named them the skunk boots.
And I don't know.
I'm going to wear these boots for the rest of my life probably.
I just want to develop them and make more kinds of boots.
I've been finding it another extension of my artistry.
It's been really inspiring.
But what else do I have in here?
I just have so many skirts.
I just love mini skirts.
I love how they look with my tattoos.
I just want to be sure underneath.
So that I'm not exposed.
But there are so many things in here.
Look, this is very cute.
Emmy found this.
I don't know where the fudgy buttons were.
Oh, actually no.
This is the same brand as this little hoodie that I have.
There's this one.
This is so cute.
I posted an Instagram photo on this.
But yeah, what else is in here?
Just a bunch of random things.
Oh, I love this skirt.
I love a blondie to skirt.
And this little spotty one.
But I mean, there's just no limit.
You can really wear...
Oh look, there's a makeup palette.
Oh, that has been...
That has obviously been on...
That needs to go in the bin.
That's an awful shame.
****, that's actually kind of heartbreaking, isn't it?
They always have really good names though.
Cosmic Cowgirl, Cowgirl Warrior, Cowgirl Rider, Emo Cowboy.
That's me.
Well, that was my wardrobe tour.
I hope you loved it.
This is my new album, You're an Angel, I'm Just Particles.
I'm very proud of this one.
And the artwork.
And everything inside it.
And all of the songs.
And it has been a pleasure to meet you.
I hope you listen and love.
And I hope you like my tour.
Stream me on Spotify, Apple Music, Diggster.
All of the platforms, YouTube.
I've got a lot of videos on there.
