400 Year Prophecy Fulfilled or Failure?
Apr 27, 2026
400 Year Prophecy, Fulfillment or Failure? Was the 400 year prophecy fulfilled last month, August 2019. This is what some Hebrew Israelites are saying. They argue that they have been freed freom the oppression that other Hebrew Israelites claim to be yet suffering.
The following program is a paid presentation the views and or opinions expressed do not necessarily reflect those of the staff and management of kw am

And friends and just relax and kick back and you know and take advantage of that day off the job
I know how that feels and uh, I know that you will um have some, you know
Have a great time on tomorrow lord willing, but let's remember
To also give some time today to those things that are spiritual that help us in our walk with god
And of course to keep us throughout the week and throughout the future
Someone asked me, uh what
Uh, well, I guess I don't know if they're speaking to me or speaking to someone else, uh with this question that they have here
But uh, if you do if you're talking to me cunning, uh, please make that known
It looks like you might be speaking to someone else. Uh, I am non-denominational just in case somebody asked
um
when we
Look at uh, this 400 year prophecy. Let me uh, just say a few things. We're going to talk about that because
This prophecy has been going on for quite some time and people have believed that jesus christ was going to return
and deliver
people from
What they call their oppression and bondage in america
And america has been considered as egypt because they use the
basic
Definition of egypt meaning house of bondage and therefore say because of the transatlantic slave trade
Uh that black people have been brought to america in slavery oppressed
And of course, uh enslaved and oppressed and and that it continues
and uh that
There was a prophecy that we find in the bible that spoke of being delivered after 400 years
well, the 400 years was up in
august in other words last month and so that is
supposedly the time
In which the prophecy was fulfilled so we're going to talk about that a little bit, but let me say
Up front that you know our aim in discussing. This is not
To belittle anyone
Uh, it is not to um, you know, just take aim at someone
We want to express the fact that you know
We care about those who are studying the word of god and prophecy is such an important topic that you know
affects and builds the faith of individuals and when
It does not occur
There's a lot of disappointment
And sometimes a lot of grief and pain that results from it
Studies have even shown that some people even take their own lives when things like this happen
and if you have studied any of you know, the history of
christianity
And the development of several denominations, you know
That uh, there were many people who were disappointed in the early, you know about the mid 19th century
Uh, and then several times thereafter and almost every time we have one of these prophecies concerning the coming of the lord
That does not take place. There's always some negative fallout as a result of it
and uh, particularly with the group that is referred to as the hebrew israelites there is um,
There has been a prophecy in the year 2000 and you can find this documented online. It's not something that uh that we're making up
there was
much fallout as a result of that and a lot of splinter groups and a lot of people disappointed a lot of people discouraged a
lot of people basically
uh giving up their faith in in god, uh, because they just believed that he didn't come and uh other people should realize that
the coming of the lord the teaching of the coming of the lord is
An area
Of attack against christianity. You've heard me say that many many times
Uh where you have people from you know, different backgrounds some who are christians some who are atheists some who are
Uh, you know jews and those who are muslims
Uh, they all attack christianity at the same point because they think it is our weak point
Uh, they think that it is the point wherein we suffer the worst as far as credibility and integrity
and that is regarding the coming of the lord and so
Uh, their uh point of attack is very direct. It is at the point of
The time statements that are found in the scriptures and we try to emphasize those time statements over and over again
So people can understand not only what the lord said
But also how the lord fulfilled those promises and yet the people who uh claim to be uh christians and many christians actually
actually
uh
use the very arguments that the
Uh detractors use against christianity to try and defend it
Now that is what is an anomaly to me. That is what is uh, just you know, so odd about the whole situation. You've got
Uh
Those who oppose christianity saying that christ said he was going to return at a certain time
And he didn't do it. And then you have those who believe in christianity
Also saying that well, he didn't come at the time that he said he was coming
and and they try to use all kinds of um of arguments and
Evasions to get around the clear statements of christ and as a result of that they are feeding into
this uh
Attack upon christianity and it's really really sad and embarrassing to uh to witness and yet many of them do it, you know
Not knowing, uh others do it, you know
Because they are so stuck in the traditions that they're not willing to open their minds
And look at things from a different perspective and so this gives us an opportunity to demonstrate that but let me just say very quickly
And by the way, the number to call in if you want to call in and ask a question
Is 9 0 1 2 6 0 5 9 2 6 again that number is 9 0 1
2 6 0 5 9 2 6 and we'll take your question live
We're talking about the 400 year prophecy this morning
And if you have any questions regarding the coming of the lord or you know related, uh teachings, you know
just go ahead and pick up the phone and call and we'll get your question on the air and
And try to get you a bible answer to it. That's our aim now
Here's some of the statements that i'm talking about and look these statements have been published
In the the final call because I remember back some years ago. I think it was in the 90s
Uh, they published an article about why jesus failed. Uh, the article was written by jabril muhammad
I remember it because I wrote a response to the article
I believe I sent it to them as well didn't get a response from them and I also went to hear him speak when he came
to memphis
And uh would have talked to him about it if I could have gotten the opportunity
Uh, but I didn't and uh, here's the point, you know, they took passages like
Matthew 16 27 and 28 where the bible says
Uh for the son of man and the greek actually says is about to come
In the glory of his father with his holy angels to reward each according to his works
Assuredly, I say to you there are some standing here who will not taste death who will not die
In other words disciples standing in the presence of christ who would not die till they saw the son of man
Coming in his kingdom now
We have christians and non-christians who deny that the kingdom is here as a matter of fact
Uh, those people who were advocating this 400 year prophecy and others like them
Advocate that the kingdom is not here as even now
And of course many jews say that the kingdom was not here because they don't even accept the messiah came the first time
Uh, but that is the point and so
Uh, here's the text saying that he would come
In his return in his second coming before some who stood in his presence died
Now you can't get around that look the atheists
Know it the the jews who oppose it know it the muslims know it and even some christians know it, you know
We had men like um, uh, I can't think of his name now. He's right on the tip of my tongue
um
C.s lewis who was a christian apologist who stated that jesus was mistaken and that he misguided his own apostles
Uh when he stated that he would come in their lifetime in matthew 24 and verse 34, for example when the lord says
After answering the question that was raised in matthew 24 in verse 3
When will these things be what will be the sign of your coming and of the completion of the age?
Uh, and then jesus gives the answer as he enumerates throughout the chapter and then he comes to verse 34
And says assuredly I say to you this generation the very one in which he was then living in the first century
This generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place
Well, i've had debates with hebrew israelites and and christians and they say well, he meant some things
Well, that's not what he said
He said all things and he said it again in luke chapter 21 verses 20 through 22 when he said
When you see jerusalem, that's the city of jerusalem that was existing in the time of christ
Surrounded by armies then know that its desolation is near
Then let those who are in judah flee to the mountains
Let those who are in the midst of her depart and let not those who are in the countries enter her why?
For these are the days of vengeance and that's right out of deuteronomy 32
That all things which are written may be fulfilled. So there's the verse and then even in 32 he read
Emphasizes it again by using the same text that's quoted in matthew. Uh, surely I say to you all these things
Will take place before this generation passes and by the way in that context
He talks about the redemption and he talks about the coming of the kingdom of god
Which was at hand at that time and he says that generation wouldn't pass until it arrived but because people have these materialistic concepts
borrowed from you know
Greeks, etc that uh, they impose upon the hebraic scriptures. This is why
They uh believe this and they don't understand the apocalyptic nature of the language that's being used there
Uh, which was very common, uh for some 200 years, uh prior to the coming of christ and about 200 years after
Uh his uh coming into the world that was very uh prominent in that time
That expresses many of these things that we're talking about
But nevertheless, uh, that's just kind of a a brief little introduction into why we are talking about this, but let's go to
The 400 year prophecy and let's talk about that and it's found
In genesis chapter 15 and we're going to look at verse 13. Now. We have to also understand that there are two prophecies
Particularly that god gave to abraham one is found in genesis chapter 12 and verse 3 where he talked about
Uh showing him a a land and then in him all families of the earth would be blessed now
Paul and peter expound upon what that prophecy was
In acts chapter 3 verses 25 and 26 when he says that god sent
Uh abr excuse me sent christ to bless you
In turning every one of you from your iniquities and paul also stated it in galatians 3 in verse 8
Verse 8 when he said and the scripture foreseeing that god would justify the gentiles by faith
Preached before the gospel unto abraham saying in you all families of the earth shall be blessed
So the prophecy about all families in the earth being blessed is a prophecy of justification by faith
It is a prophecy that was about delivering israel from their sins and of course that included gentiles as well because
Abraham said he was going to justify the nations now this prophecy in genesis chapter 15
Is a different prophecy because it referred to the land promise specifically to the land promise of canaan
But we have to see uh, what was involved because there was who claimed that it is the 400 year prophecy
They look at it and believe that it was a prophecy about the transatlantic slave trade of uh,
you know blacks and slaves coming into america and that we have been in bondage for 400 years and
Would be delivered after 400 years in other words starting from around 16 19
Uh with jamestown and then of course 400 years from that being 1919
And august was the month, you know, I I said like
I predicted years ago when I first got really wind of the hebrew israelites and these people who are teaching this that
Here comes another failed prophecy and I just told them then I said i'm just going to sit back and wait
Lord blesses me to live
I'm going to watch this prophecy come and fail because I knew it was in reach
Of at least my lifetime if I just stayed healthy and nothing happened
I knew I would live to see that one fail and and by the way
I've lived to see a bunch of them fail
I saw the one that hal lindsey taught and failed in 1988 the one edgar wisnott taught
In 1988 and 1989 failed the ones that harold camping taught
Uh during the same time and then he had some recent prophecies before he died around 2011
I've got those documented on my youtube site and uh, and on facebook and uh, you know many of people
You know, the jehovah's witnesses used to make them around
1995 the pentecostals used to make them they've all stopped putting dates on them now because they've been so disappointed by these dates
But the reason they failed is the very reason these other uh people that I talked about attack christianity because they know
That the lord promised he was going to come
Uh in the uh first century and they say he didn't do it and therefore he is not the messiah
Look jesus himself placed his uh claim to be the messiah on his promise to return
In the lifetime of people living in the first century
Let me go ahead and put that one out there before we uh get into genesis
15 real quick that is found in matthew chapter 26 verses 63 and 64 when he was uh,
before
uh the high priest
And uh, the high priest questioned him under oath
He said in verse 62 the high priest arose and said to him do you answer nothing?
What is it these men testify against you?
But jesus kept silent and the high priest entered and said to him I put you under oath
By the living god tell us if you are notice the christ the messiah
The son of god, are you the son of god now?
Look, here's jesus response to him to prove that
Or the claim that he says will demonstrate it he said
In verse 64 it is as you said
Nevertheless, I say to you hereafter you will see and the word you hear is in the plural. So he wasn't just talking about
One or that particular high priest there were several and so he says I tell you
um
I say to you rather hereafter you will see now he's talking to people living then
You will see the son of man sitting at the right hand of the power and coming on the clouds of heaven
Now they knew what that meant
They knew that was a quote from daniel chapter 7 and verse 13 about the coming of the son of man on the clouds
It's also the text of matthew 24 30 acts 1 11 and revelation 1 7
They understood very clearly what he was saying and as a result of that
They charged him with blasphemy, uh tore their clothes and says look we don't even need further witnesses
We know he's a liar. We know he's a blasphemer. He is worthy of death
That's why they put him to death but jesus used that very prophecy
To state that is what will demonstrate and prove that I am the son of god and brothers and sisters christian friends. That's why
those who oppose
Christianity and oppose jesus christ as the savior of the world
That is why they attack it at that particular point
And so sadly we have so many
Who are claiming to be followers of christ that help them?
In other words, they hand them the kitchen sink and say yeah take that date because we don't want it
Well, ladies and gentlemen, that's the only way you're going to be consistent with the bible and understand what the lord said regarding those things
now let's um
Uh, yes, it is direct done. Okay
Now let's look at genesis 15 because we want to get into this a little bit and just talk about it
All right, so in genesis 15 and uh starting at verse 13
This is where god meets with abraham and he gives him this prophecy and he says then he said to abram
Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs
And will serve them and they will afflict them 400 years
And also the nation whom they serve I will judge
Afterward they shall come out with great possessions
Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace and you shall be buried at a good old age
but in the fourth generation
They shall return here for the iniquity of the emirates is not yet complete
and of course at that point god cut a covenant with abraham and
To seal this particular prophecy and then added the promise that he was going to give them this land
Uh, that was from the river of egypt to the great river the river euphrates
And uh and talked about all of those who were then in the land at that time, but he was going to remove them
through the conquest of canaan now
We have those who will look at this and they will say well this
Does not refer to anything that was remotely connected to the people who were living
At the time of abraham and who were his immediate descendants
But they jumped thousands of years
Beyond that to the transatlantic slave trade
and then apply the prophecy to america because their opinion an idea of
america is that it is bondage and they do that based upon you know, the experience of the transatlantic slave trade and
And claim that the word egypt means bondage
And so since we're in america
We're in bondage and therefore needed to be delivered from that and of course that is still a paradigm of the hebrew israelites
Uh today
Uh, and again, you know, I I know some of them, you know, I have no ill will toward any of them
You know and and really love them and and hope that you know, we continue to dialogue and study together
But here's the point
They have taken off on that. And by the way, i've written a book on on the transatlantic slave trade
And you can go to uh amazon to look it up just look it up under my name and it's called shipwreck faith
Uh deuteronomy 2868 if you would like to read further on my reasons why I reject that particular view
And I think it makes the argument quite well
I haven't seen anybody refute the argument that i've posed in the book at any rate
Not just trying to sell a book just letting you know what's available out there
But let's talk about this now. He said it was going to be
400 years. All right 400 years
and um
And he says your descendants. He says no, certainly that's your descendants. These are the descendants of abram
Uh will be strangers in a land that is not theirs now. They consider the land of israel their land
and um as a result of that they believe that they were to be taken back to
The land of israel
And this is what they were going to be delivered to as far as this 400 year prophecy was concerned now
You have to understand what we're dealing with today
We are past the time that they gave for the fulfillment of the prophecy
I didn't really know exactly what date they had assigned to it
But i've heard that it was august and i've also heard that there's a claim that the prophecy was actually fulfilled
But we're going to examine that claim as well
Uh this morning in the time that we have as best as we can, uh get this uh information in and so
he said
uh that
The nation whom they serve. So let's talk about this
We have the 400 years
That the bible talked about now. He said 400 years
He didn't say uh, what would that be about two thousand? That'd be about
Maybe four thousand years from the time of abram
Roughly about four thousand years. All right, so
You got to decide whether from the time of abram
uh
whether it's going to be 400 years or whether it's going to be
4 000 years because if you're going to deal with the transatlantic slave trade, that's what you got to
Deal with because that's a long way from 400 years that the prophecy talked about
So that's one of the problems that we see in the text
But the other problem is notice the text says the nation whom they serve
all right, and so
This was the point israel. If you look at what happened in the exodus
israel
were slaves
in egypt
Until the time of their departure
In other words, they didn't get an emancipation proclamation
To free them
And then let them roam free
Throughout the land of egypt to do whatever they wanted to
To drive mercedes benzes bentleys live in multi-million dollar homes own tv stations youtube channels
Where they could criticize the government or anything they chose on any one they chose they weren't given those privileges in egypt
the text says
that
The nation whom they serve
I will judge
In other words, they were going to serve that nation until the time of their departure from bondage
now again
israel was confined to a certain place in the land of egypt in goshen and
We don't find that happening in america. Do we you can live anywhere in these continental united states?
Uh that you want to you can live anywhere in the united states that you want as a matter of fact
Anybody in the united states can live anywhere in the world
That they choose to if they let you in the country
So you're not locked in to the united states
and um
Pharaoh didn't say, you know, look call uber
and get you a chariot
and you can just
Trek on out of the land take a trip down to canaan and visit anytime that you want to
No, that didn't happen
But you see people can do that today
Uh, they couldn't file lawsuits and win million dollar judgments and multi-million dollar judgments against their oppressors
Pharaoh would not allow that in his court
He would not allow that in his kingdom. See when you are a slave. You don't have those rights you're treated
As property for the most part
And so you don't have those kind of rights that a free man has
And so they couldn't live anywhere that they wanted to they were confined to a certain point
So that's one point that we need people to understand
Was that they were serving in their land of bondage and they remained in the bondage until they were freed
They didn't get an emancipation proclamation. They didn't get any freedom
To move about and do what they want to even choose not to accept a job. Look if they were a slave
They had to work that job and many of them worked until they broke their bones
But see you can refuse a job
And many of them do somebody says look I want to hire you. I want you to do this work
You can look at them and say look take your job
And give it to somebody else. I do not want it. You couldn't do that during the time of slavery
And uh, so they claim that they're still in bondage and they're trying to parallel it with genesis 15 or at least they tried
Doesn't work because the bondage had to continue until their deliverance now something else
That we need to take note of he says the nation whom they serve
I will judge
All right. He was going to judge the nation
that
they serve
Now ladies and gentlemen, I want you to think about that one for a moment again. The number is 9 0 1
2 6 0 5 9 2 6 9 0 1 2 6 0 5 9
2 6. All right, so
A judgment was supposed to take place
Where's the judgment on america that happened last month? Did anybody recognize the judgment? How about you delores?
She's shaking her head. No
It's like she was like deer in the headlights. Look what judgment?
Where's the judgment on america if america was the bondage now you say you were delivered last month
so then
god said
the nation
Whom they serve I will judge now watch this
afterward they shall come out
He didn't say they will come out and then god's gonna judge him
He says they would be judged the nation would be judged and then they would come out
So it looks like we got some things a little backwards here relative to the 400 year prophecy now
If god judged america last month
It was different from any judgment he has ever had in scripture
In other words, there was no pestilence. There were no famines. There were no earthquakes. There was no sword
No bombs dropped in america
nothing
I bet some of the people who claimed this prophecy were probably sitting out in their swimming pools sipping on
pina colada
They didn't experience any judgment america didn't experience any judgment
But he was to judge the nation that had them in bondage and then after judging them
They would come out
But you see you don't have that
None of that took place
In fact, it was so quiet that the majority of americans don't even know they have been through
a judgment
Now ladies and gentlemen that tells you
That the 400 prophecy could not have been according to genesis 15
and verses 13 and 14
But here's another point that we want you to take note of
If you look at the text again
he said
Also the nation whom they serve I will judge now, by the way
Let's just talk about this for just a moment. Now if you look at 400 years
You do see that when they were in egypt
God judged that nation
He killed all the firstborn after telling pharaoh
With several plagues in other words every plague upon pharaoh was a judgment of god
So he was he had already started the judgments
I mean turned the water to blood
and
sent flies and frogs
And pestilence and everything he did all of that stuff in the judgment of pharaoh
We all know about the 10 plagues. We haven't had one plague here in america as far as the judgment
That was to precede
this 400 year prophecy
Think about it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is how people
Misinterpret the scriptures because they go there with the preconceived
opinion or presupposition
And try to build a doctrine out of it and what it creates is a lot of despair and disappointment to people
in uh in the process
But he said, you know again
They killed all the firstborn in egypt even in pharaoh's own palace
There was not one place where there was not someone dead. The firstborn was killed
Now suppose the firstborn in every home in america of those who were against this particular group
Or that they feel are against them
Was destroyed
Suppose one day then we could say. Oh, there's the judgment
Suppose that had been preceded by 10 plagues
You could say there's the judgment, but you see none of that happened
Everything just continues to roll right along
Everybody just as comfy as they've always been there was no great cry in america
Like there was a great cry in egypt
As a matter of fact god even uses
that uh
Great morning of egypt to illustrate things regarding the coming of the lord in 70 ad
He tells him in zechariah. He says there would be a great morning like the morning of the firstborn
zechariah 12 10 and following
So he used that as an example
But there is no such great morning
today
and um, how could that be a prelude to
This end of this alleged 400 year prophecy then again
Notice he says in verse 14. They would come out with great possessions
In other words, these people would be rich once they left
slavery
You see when the egyptians left slavery, it's right there in exodus 12. They got reparations
from god
Now let's go there and look at it
Now we're still
In the courts, they're still fighting for reparations in america
Look at is exodus chapter 12
the bible says
in verse 32
Well, let's let's look let me read this because we need to definitely look at it
In verse 32. He says, uh when they leave he says and go serve the lord as you have said so now
uh, this is um
Pharaoh and you know telling the people to go he's telling moses and aaron look y'all go
We've had enough of these plagues. We've had enough of this judge. Look has america told the black people to just get up and leave
No way
Not gonna happen anytime soon either
Here's the deal. Oh, you will hear people, you know individuals saying okay, we go back to africa or something you'll hear that occasionally
But they're not going to tell all black people to leave at least not at once
You imagine what kind of devastation that would present to the economy and to the country?
That's why pharaoh didn't want them to leave because of their economic benefit and welfare to egypt
and so
in verse 32
that you talk about
Building the wall they tear the wall down at that point because they'd have to get an influx
of people in here
Political outlooks will change very quickly
Anyway, let me go on he says and the egyptians urged the people
What here's here's what pharaoh told him interesting
It says to take your flocks and your herds and you as you have said and be gone and bless me also
So now he wanted a blessing from them
And so verse 33 says the egyptians urged the people that they might send them out of the land in haste
Now, wait a minute. You see the egyptians sent them out of the land in haste get up out of here
Don't stay another moment the people who were saying that the 400 year prophecy was fulfilled were sitting down in a conference room
Relaxed they didn't look like they were in a hurry at all didn't have any bags packed. Nothing
It says for they said we shall all be dead
In other words, they realized if they had stayed behind in egypt, the whole country would have died
So the people took their dough
Before it was leavened. You see the hurry that they went in
They didn't even have time to let their bread rise
Having their kneading bowls bound up in their clothes on their shoulders if you're taking a trip
You need to be prepared
Now the children of israel had done according to the word of moses and they had asked from the egyptians
articles of what
silver
articles of gold and clothing
And the lord had given the people favor in the sight of the egyptians
So they granted them what they requested thus they plundered the egyptian
Now look, I want to find some 400 year prophecy people
To see if they have gone to washington dc asked for the reparations and got them
And then tricked on up out of the united states
You see ladies and gentlemen
Trying to claim this prophecy for 400 years. It just doesn't work
For all their past labor. They got some reparations. They got
uh silver
Gold they were rich when they left
and so
The bible says the children of israel journeyed from ramesses to succot
And so there you have it. He says see this prophecy meant that they would have great possessions
They would come out with great possessions. Now if you haven't been given great possessions
as the direct result of your
Oppression as you call it
Then the 400 prophecy hasn't been fulfilled. It's a total failure
Then in verse 15
He says now as for you
You should go to your fathers in peace
You shall be buried in a good old age
So he tells abram that he's going to
Go to his grave in peace and he's going to be buried in a good old age
Now watch verse 16
but in the fourth generation
They shall return here
For the iniquity of the amorites is not yet complete
Now I want you to note
In addition to they're leaving with great possessions. I mean they had gold they had silver they had precious jewelry
Clothing and everything. I mean they were decked out looking good and everything
Wealthy folk when they left each. Uh, yes when they left egypt
So let's see about the people that said the 400 year prophecy was fulfilled last month
They all should be wealthy
I mean, I don't know what the economy of the united states is. I thought I heard someone say the other day
It was a 19 trillion dollar economy
That's a lot of wealth
And the gold and everything else
at any rate
That's what they got
Egypt was ready to give them whatever they asked for
When they left but here in the fourth generation, they shall return here. So now we've had a 400 year prophecy
I mean a 400 year time frame
But now he says in the fourth generation, so he specifically
Tells us what generation they were going to return in
He says in the fourth generation
now
They went into bondage
Around the time of jacob's death. And by the way, there are three time markers in verse 16
That we need to consider and that i'm going to talk about
And so one of them was the fourth generation now they went into bondage around the time of jacob's death
And so we need to count then
from um
the
time
Of they're going into egypt
For the four generations, you see it's important also for us to understand that the 400 years that abraham talks about
Involved their sojourning now. They sojourned for 400 years some
One text will say 400 and the other will say 430 and it's you know
They're estimating between the two
But that was the total sojourning of israel. You see part of their sojourning, which I will point out
Was in the land of canaan, but they were afflicted in the land of canaan because they had enemies in the land of canaan
You had lot you had the people of shechem and and several others throughout they had problems with the people in the land of canaan
So their sojourning was 430 years
But they were only in egypt for the four generations. He says after the fourth generation
Then you're going to come out
Well, how many generations have has there been since the first century?
Well look, oh rather since the time of abram if you were to go to uh, matthew chapter
uh
one
And just look at the list given there for generations
The bible lists there about 42 generations and that's just up to the time of the generation of christ
So now how can 42?
plus
all the way up to august of
2019 before generations when it was already 42 in the time of christ somebody's math
Just isn't adding up
He told abram in the fourth generation
So you can't count from the transatlantic slave trade and count four generations and say that was it but you see 400 years
Is more than four generations?
Here's what the bible says look in exodus chapter 12 and the verse is 40 exodus 12 and the verse is 40
the bible says
And and here's this text again
That says uh, and it wasn't just israelites that went up. They took some more people with them as well
In verse 38 it says a mixed multitude
You know, there's about 600 000 men on foot besides children
And then it says a mixed multitude verse 38 went up with them also and flocks and herds
And a great deal of livestock and they baked unleavened cakes of the dough, which they had brought out of egypt
For it was not leavened because they were driven out of egypt and could not wait
Nor had they prepared provisions for themselves now the sojourn. So here's the text now the sojourn
Of the children of israel who lived in egypt
Was 430 years. He didn't say that they were in egypt 430 years
He said the sojourn of the children of israel who were then living in egypt was 430 years in other words
they spent
About 215 years in the land of canaan and they spent about 215 years in the land of egypt
Now you can go through the patriarchs look at their ages
And follow them through their generations and you will see that that is
Pretty much the case and so it says and it came to pass now watch this
And it came to pass at the end of the 400 years. Now. Wait a minute. Where have we ever seen?
400 years in the bible before
The only other place was in genesis 15
Verses 13 through 16 and the scripture says and it came to pass at the end
Of the 430 years on the very same day
It came to pass that all the armies of the lord went out from the land of egypt
Now ladies and gentlemen that is clear
As a bible text as you can get to demonstrate the truth of what god said concerning
This sojourn in egypt and this 400 year prophecy
He says at the end of the 400 years on the very same day
It came to pass
And yet you have people telling us that it was last month
In august of 2019 that the 400 year prophecy was fulfilled
Too much of this a day is what the lord is a thousand years. I guess i'm not sure
at any rate
So that's one thing
That he says that's one of the time statements that is mentioned there the fourth generation now
Here's here's how you can count the fourth generation if you go to exodus chapter 6
And you look in exodus chapter 6 and verse 16
the bible is going to give you the four generations because if israel went there at the you know about the time of the
death
Um, or you know around the time of jacob's death
And so you had the 12 tribes and the bible talks about the 70 souls that were in egypt
Then you have the 12 tribes who were there and their families
and so
Levi was one of those sons
And he was the great great grandfather of moses. I think it was a great great
I might have missed one of them. But at any rate, I think that's right something like that
But the scripture says in verse 16 of chapter 6 these are the names of the sons of levi
according to their generations
gershon kohath and merari
And the years of the life of levi were 137
Now he's going to talk about the sons of levi. Um, uh, yes the sons of levi so
levi
his next generation was
Kohat
All right
Then in verse 18
He says and the sons of kohath were amram
ishar hebron and
aziel
Well, there's amram
And the years of the life of kohath were 133
The sons of merari were
Mali and mushi or mushi. These are the families of levi according to their generations
But now look at verse 20 now amram took for himself jacob
His father's sister as wife. So so far in the genealogy we have
levi
We have kohath
We have amram
And jacobette his wife
And she bore aaron and moses. There's your fourth generation
And that's when they came out under moses
now
We need to understand
that if
this prophecy
Was fulfilled in august and it is according to what the bible says then moses should have been the one to lead them out of america
But you see moses died a long long long long time ago
And there's no way that he could have let them out, but he was in the fourth generation
He was the fourth generation descendant from levi who went down into egypt
Uh, let's see. Let's try to move on here
Now another thing that he said in the fourth generation. They shall return
here
And this is a point that elvin
I know I heard him make this point in his presentation on the 400 years in which he did a excellent job
Elvin israel israel. He's on the line this morning
uh
a former hebrew israelite in terms of his uh doctrinal beliefs
But he says but in the fourth generation, he shall return here
Now where was abram
in the land of canaan
He said they were going to return there. Well, what are these people still sitting in america talking about they have been delivered
In a 400 year prophecy, but here's another point
it says
They were going to be delivered when the iniquity of the amorites
was full
But it was not yet completed. In other words, they couldn't come out until the iniquity of the amorites was full
well, look ladies and gentlemen if
The 400 year prophecy has been fulfilled
And if it was to be fulfilled at the time of the iniquity of the amorites then america is no longer in sin
Because their iniquity has been fulfilled
So you can't claim any more bondage. So you see what one group of hisraelisraelites does to the other group
Takes away their claim that they're in bondage
And we should have amorites still in the land
Or at least having recently been judged back in august
You know what? That's the longest and tallest cup of iniquity. God has ever had in scripture. He didn't even give israel that much
Even their entire lifetime and he judged them several times in their lifetime assyrian captivity
721 bc
Babylonian captivity 605 to 586 bc and of course, uh all the way for 70 years and then uh in 70 ad
Jesus told him to fill up the cup and he gave him 40 years from the time of his prophecy
And yet we've given the iniquity of the amorites thousands of years to get their cup full
You see it doesn't even make sense. Ladies and gentlemen, it just doesn't make sense
But that's what they tell us
and um
So they were to go back to canaan and these people are still sitting in america saying they've been the prophecy was fulfilled
Now let's go to in our closing. Um
For today, we're going to go to the book of acts
and in the book of acts
stephen recounts
the 400 year prophecy in acts chapter 7
And so let's see what he has to say about this. Uh about this prophecy
I would like to begin at verse. Uh, just to show you what he's talking about
Let's let's just read a few of the verses starting in verse 5
He says
And god gave him no inheritance in it. No not even enough to set his foot on
But even when abraham had no child he promised to give it to him for possession and to his descendants after him
But god spoke in this way that his descendants would dwell in a foreign land
And that they would bring them into bondage and oppress them watch
400 years
You see the 400 year prophecy
And the nation to whom they will be in bondage I will judge that's exactly what we read from genesis 15
Said god and after that there is the same order
They shall come out and serve me where in this place
Then he gave him the covenant of circumcision. Look if you get your order straight
Then god should be just about now giving abraham the covenant of circumcision
Because all that was to follow
The deliverance from the 400 year prophecy
And the rest that he talks about but here's the deal in verse 17
He says but when the time of the promise drew near
Which god had sworn to abraham the people grew
And multiplied in egypt till another king arose who did not know joseph
Can someone point out for us that king?
That has come up in america that did not know joseph I guarantee you not a single person in america knew joseph
But you see during the time of the 400 year prophecy when they went into egypt
real egypt
There was a king who knew joseph
And then they stayed there until there was a king who did not know joseph
Well, ladies and gentlemen
I hope that you have seen enough
Uh information and that particular king committed genocide
Killing all the male babies that he could
Tried to kill moses, but he was saved and it was that moses that delivered them from the bondage of egypt
from that 400 year prophecy
this doctrine
That the 400 year prophecy was fulfilled
in august of
2019
Is absolutely false
And i've given to you the word of god to help you to understand and maybe navigate a little bit better in the scriptures
Well, look ladies and gentlemen, we're just about out of time for today
I want to thank you for taking the time to listen
It's been a pleasure to share the word of god with you. I want to say to our brothers
Look, we love you. We care about you and we're trying to reach out to you with the word of god with sound teaching
We encourage you to study to show yourself approved to god a workman who needs not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth
to
Come to the truth and the freedom that is in christ
To become a citizen of the kingdom of god, which he has given you. That's your inheritance. That's your heritage
The one that christ established when he returned in 70 a.d
That kingdom is a kingdom of peace. It is a kingdom of joy. It is a kingdom of righteousness
I'm, william bell with the rains road church of christ saying to you
May god bless you may he keep you and we'll see you lord willing next week
You
