'We're trying to bring better stuff than everybody else' - Lawson hoping for Miami improvements

Well Liam, great to see you again. I saw you for a little bit in that break, looked like you got up to a fair bit of fun, how was it? It was good honestly, it was probably quite useful for a lot of the teams for us to look over the first few races, prepare for obviously this second part or still the first part of the season but now this sort of second part of the start. Yeah I mean it's been a tricky start to the year with these cars. So yeah, did I just realise I said start like five times? You did, let's see how many more times you say it. So the start of the year really has been, and the starts especially, starts are really hard on these cars. What else? But it's been good, I've done, I went to New Zealand, spent some time with my family, obviously I saw you in Monaco and yeah basically had some good time off. Yeah did some dirt biking, you did some motocross with Apollo, yours did you as well? Yes I did, yeah I did some motocross obviously in Monaco but outside of that as well in the US, I actually built a track in New Zealand, there where my parents live so I can go there as much as I like, it's been really really cool. Nice, so we're just looking ahead to this weekend, how are you feeling about things, the bits and pieces the team have brought to the car as well? It's really hard to know at this point, they're definitely positive but I think a lot of teams are going to be bringing stuff here so to know exactly how it's going to be is very tough but I'm excited obviously, this part of the year is really about development so everything we're bringing is, we're trying to bring better stuff than everybody else and we'll see how we go. This season is going quite well for you, two times in the points plus in the sprint, you are kind of proved that in life you have never to give up, it was quite a difficult time after your eviction at Red Bull but now you are completely back in the game, I guess you feel that also in your confidence? Yeah, I mean every time I get in the car I try and do the best job I can so Formula One is very much a sport of variables, there's a lot that has to happen to have a successful weekend and a successful year and I think this year it's been working out quite well for us so it's been a good start, a lot of opportunity with these new cars trying to be on top of it so we'll try and keep that momentum going.
