Hello, everyone. Welcome to this video all about holiday styling inspired by the Hamptons,
Nantucket, Maine. I'm really excited for this one. I feel like a lot of my holiday videos are
inspired more by kind of European summers, but actually I wanted to take this more to kind of
English countryside beaches or that kind of East Coast America feel or what I imagine it would
feel if I went there. I've never been there, but this is the vibe I'm getting. But this is the vibe
I'm getting from these clothes. So everything today is from Arkyt. They have some beautiful,
beautiful pieces. As I'm sure you very well know, I'll talk a bit about the styling,
how I'm pairing it, but also the fabrics of the clothing. You'll get to see some up-close images
of them all. But all of these pieces today are 100% pieces that you can keep in your wardrobe
for years and summers to come, pull them out every single summer, which of course feels very
synonymous to my style and what I gravitate towards. And I also think if you love that kind
of old money style, old money, a bit tongue in cheek, but if you love that kind of look,
I think this is a really nice kind of fresh way to do that. And the pieces I'm going to show
are definitely a kind of nod to that trend in a kind of subtle, relaxed, undone sort of way.
So let's get into the outfits. So outfit number one is this white denim dress. And I think what
says Hampton summer more than white denim, but I love this kind of boxier style of dress. It just
keeps it feeling quite fresh and modern with the chunky collar, the almost kind of, they're not
three quarter sleeves, but they're a little bit of a crop sleeve. I think this dress will be so
useful as a relaxed, but polished dress. I actually think this is a category that's a bit neglected in
my wardrobe. And I think a lot of our wardrobes neglect this category, but something that feels
put together and smart, but still has a casual feel and the denim definitely does that. And then
I paired it with some other accessories also from Arquette, this gorgeous raffia bag with the black.
I think the black trim definitely gives it that fresh, modern, updated feel. And I also think
you could almost use this for like summer in the city kind of vibes with it having the black trim.
It fits loads in. The leather strap means it's going to be quite substantial. Like, you know,
you can kind of carry a lot in here if need be. But I think this is super chic and it ties
in really nicely with my shoes, which I am obsessed with. I'm so, so, so glad I added these.
So these are, I got a size 40. I'm a 39 and a half usually. So I did go up a size and I'd say
they're like true to size as a 40. So if you're unsure or a half size, then definitely go up.
But they're these like raffia slip-on mules. And I had a pair like this with like a full back on
several years ago when I first started like my blog actually. So I'd say maybe seven or eight
years ago. And I remember I had them several summers and I wore them so much that I just
completely destroyed them. They were like my favorite shoe. They were so comfortable. So I'm
so happy to have found a pair like this. I think these are just a timeless wardrobe staple. I
actually prefer that these are backless. The other ones had a full back, but being backless, I think
just gives them that slightly more casual undone sort of feel. These are super chic, like on holiday,
you could kind of slip this whole outfit on for breakfast. I think just having a slip-on,
just there's something about it that feels so relaxed and undone and effortless. So I think
these are really nice and will go with all kind of raffia bags. And then jewelry, I've just popped
on this beautiful black resin jewelry. I've also got some earrings, which I'll show you in a bit,
but I absolutely love this. I think if there's one thing to update your wardrobe with this season
is some really cool resin jewelry. I have had my eye out for black resin jewelry for so long.
And so I was so pleased when I stumbled across it on the Arket website, this beautiful chunky ring
and bracelet, and then some matching earrings as well, which I'll show you in a bit. But
this is relax outfit number one. Okay, so the question is, what are we wearing for the evening
on this kind of casual, relaxed holiday? I feel like it doesn't really warrant that really bright
patterned, colourful dress, but something a little bit more chic, laid back, but still dressed up.
And I think these pieces lend themselves really nicely to that, but also to that idea of easy,
breezy packing, mix and match pieces that you can work for day and for night. So I particularly
love this halter top. This is 95% cotton with a 5% elastane. So it has a nice stretch and comfy
feel to it. The halter just makes this whole outfit, I think, just elevates it and gives it
a little bit of an evening twist, but still definitely a top that you can then dress down
for day. I mean, if I just put flats with this, it would make more of a chic daytime outfit. And
then I've got these denim shorts. They're a longer style, which I think sometimes a little bit more
flattering. They definitely have that kind of old money, old school sort of feel to them. Very
wearable, very versatile. I like to balance out a longer short like this with more of a kind of
skimpier or strappier top. Yeah, I just love the way they fit. These are really comfortable.
I pretty much go true to size in our kit, either a 27 in trousers and shorts and a small in the
tops. And then I've just kind of dressed it up with some heels and a clutch. And then I also
added in these really amazing chunky black resin earrings. I am so excited to wear these. I feel
like you will be seeing these in every single YouTube video real short that there is to come,
because I feel like they'll go with so much. But yeah, this is just a little bit more of a casual
evening look. So this is another way with the Bermuda shorts. And I've added this beautiful
100% linen shirt in this stunning blue colour. I think this is just such a beautiful shade of blue.
The shirt's really nice as well. It's not too long. I'll just show you. Really easy to tuck in.
It's not like super oversized, but got like a relaxed shape to it. So it feels very effortless
and cool and modern. And then I'm just styling them with the bag again, just showing how versatile
this bag is. And it just creates that kind of more dressed down summery look. And then these
really nice leather flip-flop sandals. Very comfortable actually. They've got a kind of
bit of a padding on the sole and really easy to style with so many pieces. These are like that
staple sandal that everyone needs in their wardrobes. Okay. I thought I would do this
cute little look with a hat. And I've added in these linen shorts. I feel like no one does
linen basics as good as Arquette. I just love the kind of tailoring of these shorts. I think it's
nice to do linen in a smarter way. It kind of strikes that smart casual balance really nicely.
And then it also makes the pair of shorts more versatile or trousers more versatile because
they're linen so they feel casual, but because they're tailored, you can make them work a bit
dressier as well. I've just popped them on back with the blue shirt. I think as well,
don't be afraid to wear black for summer. I just love black for summer. I think it gives a little
bit of a boldness and a freshness to this kind of old money style. And I think they're just a really
great addition to anyone's wardrobe. Again, this slightly longer length, very flattering. I also
think these will be great for workwear as well, like a more casual office obviously. But because
they're still quite smart and they're long, very hot summer days workwear, these will be really
nice. And then I've styled them again with the raffia accessories. This is just one of my own
hats that I thought would look cute with the outfit, but these little raffia accessories are
working so hard with all of these outfits. So switching gears a bit, I'm moving on to this
beautiful cotton shirt dress. Admittedly, this is my third one in the exact same style. So I have it
in white, I have it in blue, and now I have it in this stunning lilac colour, but I literally could
not resist when I saw this colour online. I just felt it really went with the vibe of the video as
well. Slightly updated take on that old money with it being a shirt dress, but the lilac just gives
it a bit of something fresh. I love the silhouette of it, long, loose, with the split up the side just
gives it a bit more definition if you're not belting it. What I love about this is that you
can wear it in the evening on holiday with a heel, with some statement jewellery, and then pop it on
the next day or the day after for breakfast. Use it as your beach cover up. It really is that versatile
and it's something I've definitely done. I've dressed up my shirt dresses many, many times,
but also use them as casual beach day kind of outfits, just worn open. I love the crispness
of this. I just feel like this is the ultimate shape of shirt dress for me. I absolutely love it.
Feels so kind of wafty and breezy to walk in. I feel like it just has a flow to it, which is so
nice. As I say, I've got it in three colours, so I obviously cannot get enough of this dress and it
also washes really well. Obviously I've got the other ones, so I've had chance to wash them and
they wash really nicely too. Okay, let's talk about this really cute little polo shirt next.
It's 100% cotton. This kind of like lightweight knitted fabric in a really nice, I'd say this is
like a cool beige, so will pretty much go with everything. But these are so useful, particularly
if you live in a climate a little bit like England, where it can be kind of warm-ish,
but if the sun's not out, there's a bit of a chill in the air, you maybe don't need a proper knit,
but something like this is really useful. I think this is a really nice kind of staycation outfit
where I'm going to the Cotswolds in a few weeks-ish. So I feel like this is just kind of
outfit formula that I would wear. It feels relaxed, but it also feels modern. And like I
was talking about before with Arket doing that really nice tailored linen, these trousers are
a really great example of that. It definitely has a laid back feel, but because they are tailored,
they just are a little bit smarter and make the outfit feel a bit more pulled together.
These are a really nice length for me, especially to wear with sandals, because I feel like
it really shows off the shoe and the trouser doesn't kind of cover up the shoe, which I think
is really nice. The polo shirt, I'm kind of half tucking in, but because it's not super long,
you can just wear it tucked out like that as well. But I think it's nice just like this.
I would wear this as well with a skirt, like a long, flowing white maxi skirt, I think would
look really good. But also things like the black shorts from before or even the white denim shorts
will look really great with this polo. So again, two really versatile pieces.
Okay. Another really easy throw and look with mix and match pieces. I've kept the trousers on
and just added a tank top. I love white on white. I think you can be wearing the most simple casual
of pieces, like a tank like this with some linen trousers, and it just instantly looks chic. I just
think an all white is everything, particularly on a holiday, on a beach holiday, on a staycation.
I think this is so nice. The quality of this is beautiful. I really rely on my Arket Basics,
my tanks, my t-shirts, things like linen trousers, because they are just beautiful quality.
They wash well and they're also great shapes as well. So I really like the shape of this. I think
it's very flattering. Not quite as dressy as the halter style in the black one, just a little bit
more low key. And then I popped this striped jumper around my waist. I'll show it on in a second,
but I absolutely love this. I think adding a bit of stripe really ticks that nautical seaside
holiday kind of box and definitely has that old money feel too. I think wrapped around the waist
definitely gives it that modern feel and really nice to just kind of throw on that extra layer.
This is a great one if you're kind of out in the day and know that you're going into evening
when it gets darker and it gets cooler and you need a layer. I think it adds interest to the
day look, but then also you've got that practicality to it as well. So let me show you what it looks
like on, because it is such a beautiful jumper. So this is it on a really gorgeous, relaxed
shape. I feel like there was a lot of similar descriptive words that I'm using for this
collection. Relaxed, breezy, effortless. And this ticks all the boxes as well. It's got these
really cute little buttons up the shoulder, which I think is a really nice detail. It's called
beige and black. It was almost like a navy black. So I think if you were wearing navy, you could get
away with wearing this, but equally black too. And I think sometimes black in a stripe is slightly
more modern than navy in a stripe. So as I say, just a great one to throw on in the evening.
I'll just show it tucked out, which I think looks really cute as well. Just a very kind of
throw it on sort of look. I love this with the white linen. I think you just cannot go wrong
with something like stripes and linen. I just think it's like the ultimate classic casual look.
Okay. So my final piece is one more dress and I feel like this is just so Hampton's chic. I just
feel like you can't get an outfit that fits that bill more. I think when it gets really warm,
it is really useful to just have a very, very thin strap of wafty dress that just floats and flows
so that you feel very cool. But this is still polished. It's still put together. I like the
little kind of pleated detail at the front, but it's nothing too much. It's still simple. This
is a dress you could also elevate for evening if you wanted to with a heel, with a cute little
jacket and some really statement gold earrings and really dress it up. Red lip, gold earrings,
gold heels, I think would be a really nice combo with this white dress. So don't feel like you
can't dress it up, but dress down in the day. I've just gone back to the raffia shoes, which
I really am obsessed with. I love these. I think they're so cute. With my little raffia hat,
I think tones really nicely and fits the vibe really well. I can see me kind of like hosting
in the summer, lots of kind of pims and strawberries and cream. It's giving that for
this outfit and I really love it. So thank you so much to Arquette for working with me on this video.
I really, really enjoyed putting these outfits together and I think so many great
mix and match pieces as well. So not just kind of individuals that you'll never wear again,
but definitely items you can kind of cross over, change, dress up, dress down. It's almost been
like a capsule holiday wardrobe in this video as well, I think. So I hope you've enjoyed it. Thank
you so much for watching. If you enjoyed, please press that subscribe and I will see you in my next
video. Bye.
