I am a fan of Golden Hoops.
I think Wimby is the first perfect big man that's ever been created.
He can shoot, free throws, play defense, play offense. He's a great team player.
I'm happy for the Spurs. I'm happy for Wimby.
And for me, in a long time, he's a joy to watch.
And four blocks to go at those 17 points.
Oh my goodness! Spiked into the 15th row.
Even his dad says, wow!
If this doesn't get a reaction, Denny gets it.
Wampanyama trying to get free, does.
Takes it all the way and smashes it.
Blocks it to assist.
The rim will feel that one coming.
There goes Wampanyama.
Took it off the glass, put it behind his back.
Reynolds steps a 7-0 run.
Look at this. Behind the back.
And this is against Denny.
That could show what he's got left.
There's a lot of young talent around this team.
Wampanyama just steals Kamara's soul.
And out of bounds.
He's just wiping things out.
There's Wampanyama on the face-up, guarded by Kamara.
Wimby spinning, lays it up and in.
This guy's just ridiculous. You pushed him off.
Basket right there.
There's a balance beyond obvious.
Wimby on the high handoff.
Two out of three.
Offensive rebound.
Wampanyama thought about the three.
Spins and got it.
And one.
Time reaction. The spin.
The contact off the window.
Pops is like, this is...
Wimby stepping back, taking three.
Taking three.
Step back three.
Find that three-pointer.
If you go to Robert Williams, Wampanyama's just going to hang in the paint.
Although Williams has made some threes in this series.
Pass.
Being in play, big minutes, key minutes.
It's a long run, long shot.
Got that.
Got it all.
Absolutely.
Blazers at 25%.
Wampanyama for three.
It's gone.
His first triple of the game.
He hit five.
In the corner.
His jumper hadn't gone to start.
And they were down 17 in the first...
At halftime.
Wampanyama blocks it and takes it.
The second look.
Wimby.
Full plate triple.
Wow.
Portland trying to even the series at two games apiece.
Another easy stop.
This one with Wimby's back to the rim as Castle gets another assist.
Blocks for Wampanyama.
Grant.
Make that four blocks now.
Focused defensively, especially when Wimby's in the game.
Playing in those gaps.
He's doing everything...
Again, not even looking to shoot with Wampanyama right there.
And Wimby gets the block on Kamara.
A seven foot four with a dynamic skill set in it.
Wampanyama for three.
First name.
On the drive.
Wimby waiting.
Trying to dish it cutely.
A few minutes of play for Barnes.
Here's Wampanyama inside.
In there for a while.
Takes it over the rim.
Did he get hit in the face?
That's what he's so upset about.
Shalom Temple's about not showing a lot of emotion.
Look, he gets smacked a couple times across the face.
Racing downhill.
Wampanyama jumped into the air.
Got a piece of that.
Wampanyama now with a shot clock at eight.
Wampanyama moves to his left.
Gives it up.
Three pointer from Castle.
Good.
His second three.
Castle's got 13 points.
He's got four fouls.
Law to Wampanyama for the stop.
San Antonio by two.
Remarkable on this Blazer team with so many injuries.
They're able to win 42.
Wimby on the drive.
What a move.
Spurs came back from 15 down in the second half to win game three.
Can they do it in game four?
This season to be with the Blazers.
Wampanyama at the basket.
Throws it down again.
He is 7'4".
Harper driving.
Lays it up.
No.
The follow jam by Wimby.
Needs some nerves early on.
Champetti.
Wimby.
Corner.
Passell.
Sharp at six points.
The bench for Lin is Wampanyama.
Gets the dunk.
Outscored.
Wampanyama drives.
The lob is broken up by Kamara.
An excellent defender.
But Wimby attacks.
Guarding Safon Castle.
Out of the corner is Nowitzki.
One leg.
Step back.
7'4".
18% Antonio.
Holliday gets to the rim.
But Victor Wampanyama with the trailing block.
Once he touches me.
Another turnover.
Holliday.
Shooting team.
They were 28th in the league.
They shot it so well.
That playing game against Phoenix.
That guy is a good three-point shooter.
He's like, I'm going to make this contact for real.
Official will have to blow the whistle.
Wimbyama connects.
So smooth on the jumper.
France getting it done on both ends of the floor.
Most humans, that's a break the other way.
As Klingman can't tip it in.
But somehow Wimbyama not only secures the ball,
but then throws it down.
Champetti lets it fly.
Got it.
Two three-pointers.
Shot clock at 10.
Sharp.
Over Wimbyama.
Big contact.
Wimbyama got a piece of that.
Yes, he got the block.
But look at the body afterwards.
Looking for that ready space.
He won't branch into the paint.
Swats it away.
Come on, come try it.
Champetti.
One more.
Baseline drop.
Holliday.
In the paint.
Pass underneath.
Oh, Wimbyama with just four of his seven shots have been threes.
Box around the screen.
Lobs and an easy throw down for Wimbyama.
He's been waiting for it.
Now you get the handle to create.
His first points.
Now another Portland turnover.
Wimbyama.
It's true.
All the stuff that goes along with it is just ridiculous.
Here he is again with his fifth block.
Spurs trying to close out Portland.
What a no-look pass by Kessel.
And finish from Wimbyama.
Another little area.
He wants to go at him.
A little dance.
A little spin.
A little window.
Victor Wimbyama is back after missing game three for the Spurs.
He got the start today, and the Spurs lead it now.
Giago splitter.
The Blazers' interim head coach.
Wimby.
Out of three.
Look at this.
Look at that drop.
If you're Robert Williams.
Holliday right underneath Wimbyama.
Victor spinning.
Corner pitch.
And a great knockdown.
After Dee Vincenzo and Edwards gets hurt,
the Lakers the entire series without Dodgich and Reeve.
Pacific Northwest.
Fox, Wimby in the basket.
Timeout Portland.
And a body him.
Wimbyama with the block.
Klingon back, shot clock at two.
It's blocked again.
All right, let's check in now with George.
All right, guys.
I'm here with Victor Wimbyama, De'Aaron Fox,
and a number of the different Spurs here.
Victor, this is your first playoff series win
with this group.
What did you learn about yourselves?
We learned that we can overcome difficulties mid-game
on the fly like that.
And obviously with the regular season,
we know how to prepare a game.
So it's two great qualities.
De'Aaron, Mitch Johnson told us about
all the conversations you and him had during the season
about your role and impact on this team.
How would you describe that?
I mean, just try to use my gravity.
You know, when I have the ball, when I don't have the ball.
If I can get an open shot or get a teammate open shot,
that's what I try to do.
Now, how would you describe the impact this man has
in the radius and gravity he has on defense?
It's like no one else.
I mean, between probably him and Steph.
Like, those are the only guys that you see
that have the type of gravity that they have.
And it's amazing to play with, but with Steph,
you can't just throw the ball to the moon.
Now, again, Victor with De'Aaron
and his ability to finish games for you guys,
particularly in the last two games.
How would you describe his contributions?
He knows how to step up in the right moments, for sure.
And he knows how to share with teammates,
so he's just versatile.
All right, what are the plans now
for the next couple of days?
I don't know. Watching every game.
Watching other games.
Well, have fun doing that.
Congratulations, guys.
Thank you.
