Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to dress up, whether you're going on a date, celebrating
with friends or just celebrating you.
In today's video I'm sharing how to create the perfect Valentine's looks and also the
accessories to go along with it to really add those finishing touches and make your
look seem super polished.
Because sometimes it's the little details that take your outfit from meh to wow.
Wow!
I've put together a couple of outfits behind me and I'll talk you through them.
There's a bit of a mix and hopefully something for everyone.
So this first look is paired all around my Dish satin trousers that I picked up second
hand a little while ago, but I just hemmed them to fit me perfectly last night.
So I'm really excited to wear them and I think these would be exactly what I would reach
for for Valentine's.
They're just a really nice, kind of ivory satin trouser, wide leg, very silky and soft
and that's the kind of fabric that I want to wear on a date night, something that feels
really tactile and feminine and sensual and really nice.
So I'm going to base my outfit around these.
I'm going to keep it really simple and style it with this ribbed long sleeve top.
It has a really nice little flared hem, which again just adds that little feminine touch,
that really nice detail.
It's a really nice ribbed fit.
So just these two together are such a comfortable outfit, really stretchy, comfy, can eat as
much as I want in these if I'm going to go for dinner, it could be really nice for drinks.
And then over the top I'm going to add this brown blazer.
It's a little bit oversized, but it's really nicely tailored.
So I think this is kind of what makes these more relaxed pieces or more kind of stretchy,
comfy, cosy pieces feel a little bit more polished.
This really nicely structured blazer and this really rich chocolate brown.
What will also bring this whole look together is adding some jewellery.
This is a stunning bracelet that I have from Italo Jewellery.
You may have seen it before last time I worked with them.
It's just a really beautiful tennis bracelet.
And I think the addition of this bracelet, it just adds that really nice finishing touch.
It's a very premium looking piece.
I think a tennis bracelet is such a lovely, classic, classy style.
They can be a little bit tricky to put on yourself, so you may need to get your date
to help you with this, but it's just such a beautiful piece.
I find it adds that perfect, understated, yet glamorous touch to any outfit.
And that's exactly the kind of vibe I want on a date night.
So while I do wear this a lot with more casual outfits to dress them up a little bit,
it also perfectly goes with all my dressy outfits.
And I love that I was able to choose a slightly smaller size for the bracelets.
I've got tiny wrists, so that really works well for me.
They're all about creating those really beautiful pieces, but that are at an affordable price
so that everyone can have a little bit of a taste of luxury in their wardrobes.
They're high quality and unique designs, but at an affordable price.
Italo Jewellery also own and operate their own manufacturing facilities,
so they can ensure everything is made with the highest quality by their artisan jewellery team.
Italo can create this affordable jewellery because they sell direct to the consumer,
instead of having a long supply chain.
I think this look is perfect for anyone who doesn't like a typical date night outfit,
like dress and heels or anything like that.
You just want to look a little bit different, you want to wear your neutrals,
but you want to feel really polished, really elevated, a little bit sexy as well.
For most of these outfits, I'm going to finish them off with my black velvet kitten heels,
because these are the only heels I have in my wardrobe.
I have my wedding heels as well, but they're packed away.
Sometimes I pull them out for dressier occasions,
but I think I just want to wear a little kitten heel.
I want to be comfy and I think it will sit really well with all of these outfits as well.
The next look is a little bit more classic date night.
It's this beautiful silky satin dress.
Absolutely stunning, 100% silk.
This is just going to feel like a dream to wear.
And again, like the silky feel of the trousers before,
this is just going to feel so beautiful on the skin.
It's going to drape so nicely, it's bias cut, it's going to hold your curves.
It's going to look really, really stunning.
So something just simple like this silky satin cami dress
or anything that makes you feel amazing.
It's just really simple, just a black coloured dress.
And I'm just going to pop a black blazer over the top.
I really love this mix of the kind of more masculine blazer with the more feminine dress.
This is definitely how I would wear dresses more,
because I'm not that big of a dress person.
But I do like to mix that little bit of feminine
with a little bit of classic and a little bit of tailoring.
And I think it's a really nice combination.
And then the black kitten heels will finish this off really nicely.
They'll sit back with the black blazer.
And I think this is just a really stunning look.
Chances are in February, if you live in London or maybe even anywhere in Europe,
you're going to need a coat over the top of these outfits.
But these are just kind of like the base outfits I wanted to share.
And obviously you wear the warmest coat you could possibly find if you need it.
Again, I'm going to accessorize with my tennis bracelet.
I'm going to keep on, you know, my wedding band, my wedding ring.
Obviously I'm going on a date with my husband, so that would be a good idea.
And then I'm going to add just some really dainty earrings with this one as well.
Just something that kind of adds a little something there,
but it's kind of a bear-ly there earring.
I just really like the look of quite a bear like neckline.
I feel like it's really delicate, really feminine and really sexy as well.
The next look is a little bit of a go-to.
Jeans and a nice top.
And I'm choosing my grey wide leg jeans, high-waisted,
that I've been wearing quite a lot lately.
You'll have seen them tons.
And then I'm pairing them with this really nice black sheer ruffly blouse.
Again, you're seeing me bring in a little bit more of a feminine touch,
but I really like it in the black shade.
I think the black with the wash black jeans is just going to look quite cool
and a little bit kind of laid back.
Yeah, cool and laid back I think is the perfect vibe for this.
I'm going to throw on a kitten heel again.
So it's almost this all black date night look,
but with the sheer and the denim and the velvet kitten heel,
you've got a mix of textures, so it feels more interesting.
So again, this is for someone who doesn't want to wear
too much colour on date night or a night out.
And you've just kind of, you feel at home in your blacks and your greys.
So you could put a little lacy bralette under this.
You could, you know, you could put a cami underneath if you wanted to,
depending on who you're going on your date with.
I really like this.
And then it just has a little tie here.
Again, just these really beautiful little details
to just really lift the outfit and add a lot of interest.
That's an easy one to replicate.
Everybody has a pair of jeans and a nice top on their wardrobes.
If you like top jeans and heels, you can't really go wrong with that.
And then the last one is, I wanted to throw in a little bit of a cosy number
because it is winter and I wanted to include a piece of knitwear.
This is a really beautiful chunky cardigan.
It has quite a nice low neckline,
so I'm kind of thinking wear a little kind of lacy bralette or something underneath.
It's a little bit of a sexier neckline,
but you could obviously, depending on what cardigan you own,
put something a little bit higher with it.
I just think the little peplum, again,
it just adds that slightly feminine touch.
I know not everybody wants to dress in that feminine way.
It's a very typical Valentine's to be all girly and feminine.
But it's just in these little subtle hints,
like my style is not too feminine at all,
but it's in these tiny little subtle hints
that I'm just feeling a little bit more playful and feminine
on my date like I want to.
And then I'm going to style it with this silk,
I want to say mid-daxy skirt.
I was going to say midi, but it is more mid-daxy.
You will see how long it is in the cutaways.
And I just think these two together are just a really nice combination
for this time of year.
It's something I would easily wear during the day.
I'd wear it to work.
I wouldn't just keep it for date night.
But I think for this, it's probably the most me outfit out of all of this.
It's the one that I would wear the most
and could be the one that I would feel the most comfortable in
and the most like myself.
Instead of a heel, I'm going to style this one with a boot as well.
So I've chosen this really nice beige coloured boot
which I think sits really nicely with the other neutrals.
Even though it's winter, we are coming into spring
and it feels quite light
and it's those really nice light neutrals
that just make this outfit feel really nice, airy and beautiful.
And then I would probably throw like a camel coat over the top of that.
Whereas my other outfits, I might put like my black wool coat over those
as a little black handbag
and make sure I was adding jewellery to each and every look as well.
Italo are having a Valentine's sale at the minute
so if you want to get your hands on your own little tennis bracelet
or any other pieces of jewellery,
I will leave all the details in the description box.
And I will leave a discount code on screen as well
so you can have your own little Valentine's treat.
Jewellery is one of those things that makes a really beautiful gift as well.
So if you're still looking for something for that special someone,
then definitely check out Italo jewellery.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these outfits come together.
I hope it inspires you for your own date night look.
No matter what you wear this Valentine's day,
the most important thing is that you feel good in your own skin.
So whether you're dressing up for someone special or just dressing up for you,
adding those finishing touches really does make all the difference
to take those outfits from feeling like maybe your everyday outfits
to just feeling like that's something a little bit more special.
Thank you so much for watching.
Sending you all lots of love this Valentine's day
and I'll talk to you all really soon in my next one.
Bye!
