This is a $1 hot dog.
This is a $15 hot dog.
And this is a $100 hot dog.
We're gonna see what makes that $100 so special.
I'm gonna give you my rating at the end.
Let's go.
$1 hot dog.
Where do we find it?
Well, in the streets of downtown in any city in America,
you'll find vendors like this selling hot dogs.
Sometimes they have sandwiches, sometimes burgers.
This guy has hot dogs.
It used to be $1.
Now it's $7.
American inflation.
Remember to bring cash.
If not, you gotta pay through Zelle.
Italian sausage.
So you're gonna put some bread.
So the bread's ready.
Next, we got the hot dog.
Some onions, some onions, yeah.
Why not?
Yeah.
Relish, relish.
Some cabbage, some chow crap.
Some ketchup.
Perfect.
Mustard.
Some mayo as well.
Whoa.
Yeah, it's Cuban style.
Some crispy-
Okay.
All right, we did it.
Go.
That's definitely more Cuban style.
And today we're starting with this $1 hot dog, classic.
Whenever you go to a baseball game,
this is what you need to order.
He made it a little more Cuban for me,
adding the chips on top.
But what do we have?
It's a hot dog bun, massive hot dog.
Then he added some relish, some sauerkraut,
ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise,
and then some fritas, the little chips.
So I'm paying $1, guys.
Let's see how this bite tastes.
Mm.
For seven bucks, can't beat this.
We ate fast food on the streets here in downtown.
I never really understood that, I guess,
because everybody in the court system
had to get quick lunch so they have these guys.
So many memories here.
Nostalgia in a bite.
You know, I used to go to ball games with my friends.
This is what we used to have.
That was way worse.
This is definitely more upscale in a sense.
You know, the chips makes it really crunchy.
Hey, for a buck, inflated buck, pretty good.
Nice crunch with the chips.
Nice, juicy, thick sausage.
And we have the mix of flavors.
I personally don't love the mayo.
Mustard's my thing, but it all goes well together.
And I'll say like overall, affordability, it's a 10.
It's the most affordable we're gonna have today for sure.
Taste-wise, I mean, it's tasty, but it's not amazing.
I'd say probably a five.
One more bite.
Let's see.
Not my favorite,
but let's see how it stacks up against the others.
And we're here at Our Betters making hot dogs since 1959,
and they got a $15 hot dog.
Let's go inside.
So here at Our Betters, they have lots of hot dogs.
Look at this massive menu,
but we're going with this, the Ronald McGill.
It's a foot long, Johnny Sins.
And it's eight ounces.
Eight ounces?
Yeah, it's half a pound.
It's gigantic.
Half a pound?
It's thick?
We like it thick, right?
So that's the foot long right there?
Yeah, you gotta cut it in the middle.
Subred, all beef, subred, all beef.
This is a all beef foot long.
So we cut it in half, put it on the flat top.
Then he put presser on top so it gets nice and charred.
He's gonna add some oil, makes it a little more moist.
This is a jumbo all beef subred grilled.
This is the Mendoza sausage dog.
This is the subred.
By the way, you can't get any of these subreds
in South Florida, anywhere in South Florida.
Anywhere in South Florida.
Because these are the,
you could buy some subreds at the grocery store.
You can't get these anywhere in the South.
And we grill that up to order.
Ron McGill, again, a subred, all beef,
eight ounces, absolutely insane.
Because normally, look how thick that is.
Normally a foot long is tiny, it's thick.
So this is absolutely incredible.
I mean, I get little old ladies
to come in and eat the whole thing.
Oh yeah?
I don't know how.
Those are our onions, freshly grilled onions
for the Mendoza.
That's the Mendoza?
Yeah, with sport peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
Is that beautiful?
First of all, hot dogs were invented in Germany,
but we really made it an American thing.
That's why it's, you know, apple pie, hot dogs,
and Chevrolet.
It's the most American food, really, there is.
And we sell, people are like,
oh, people don't eat hot dogs as much anymore.
There's more hot dogs sold now
than ever, ever has been, obviously.
So our fries are fresh.
We don't have a heat lamp for our fries.
Our fries are made fresh, and they're unbelievable.
They're all from Idaho.
Every single fry, again, is on a Idaho potato.
Chili cheese subred.
And by the way, our place is one of the cleanest places
in Dayton, Broward.
So right here, we have the monster.
That's the monster.
You see the chili?
That's fresh, homemade, every day.
My mom's recipe from the 1940s.
So we're gonna go mustard.
So we're starting with some mustard.
Mustard on the top half.
We're gonna go with some chili.
Chili.
Good scoop of chili.
Chili.
Then we're gonna go with some onion, the MOC.
Some MOC, some onion.
And then the second half, we're gonna do all around,
what we call all around ketchup.
So you got mustard.
So some mustard.
Relish.
Got some relish next.
A little more relish than that.
Yeah.
Then we got some more onion.
More onion.
So that'd be the all around.
And then we're gonna go ahead and add our famous kraut.
Sauerkraut on top.
And that's an all around with some sauerkraut.
There you go.
The monster dog.
Here's our Ron Miguel monster dog.
We love Ron Miguel.
And you're gonna love it, man.
That's the best dog you ever had in your life.
$15 hot dog.
It is a foot long.
It's literally two hot dogs in one.
So what's the history of hot dogs?
Well, they date back to Mesopotamia,
back in 3,000, 4,000 years ago.
They were mixing meat and putting it in intestines
and making sausages.
The Greeks, the Romans, they all did it.
Then eventually in Germany,
they revolutionized in the early 1800s in Frankfurt.
Those German immigrants came to America.
Obviously we started consuming hot dogs.
But one day in New York, in one of the games,
somebody said, hot dog for sale, hot dog.
And basically the guy was connecting the hot dog
with a Dachshund, which is the German sausage dog.
Random fact, it's real.
All right, let's grab this $15 hot dog.
It's gonna be hard.
Amazing sauerkraut, the mustard.
I personally love the beef.
Sometimes it's half and half.
You know, it automatically teleports me
to like games when I was young.
I used to go watch some of my friends at games
and then I would eat this.
But this is huge.
This is what $15 gets you here at Art Better's.
It's so massive, I had to cut it in half.
There's no real way to eat this
if you just try to grab the whole thing.
All right, this one has the chili.
What else does it have?
Some onions.
Oh, it's an amazing hot dog.
It's crunchy, it's juicy.
I love how everything just like pours out of it.
Chili on hot dog, smoky, crumbly.
It's pretty damn good.
$15, I think it's definitely worth it.
It has many hot dogs,
you can add so many different toppings.
I think it's like a billion toppings,
but I think you should go like this, more classic.
That's the real American way.
Let me enjoy this.
The relish.
In terms of value, a 10 out of 10.
$15, you're getting a massive meal.
In terms of taste, it is definitely up there in quality.
I've had some really bad hot dogs in my life.
I'd say this is an eight in taste.
And you have two different things to,
so if you don't even like this side,
you might like this side, right?
Definitely an eight.
I like the Polish dog more, just in general,
the Polish dog.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's great, isn't it?
Definitely, it's juicy, it's amazing.
Appreciate you.
Thank you, thank you.
Bless you, Michael, bless you.
No, no, for sure.
Thank you for everything you do.
No, thank you.
We appreciate you.
I'll let you know as soon as this comes out.
Yeah, send me so I can see it.
I will, I will.
Send me a link.
Of course, of course.
Appreciate you, brother, thank you.
Great to meet you too, buddy.
Thank you, guys.
We appreciate what you do.
I'm gonna dream about that hot dog.
See, you're in perfect shape.
Perfect shape.
That's from hot dogs.
I eat 10 hot dogs a day.
See?
Chevre, world's finest cheese house.
They created a $100 hot dog with caviar and Wagyu beef.
We're gonna learn about it right now.
Let's see if the hype holds up.
So as soon as you walk in, they have infinite cheeses.
You got olive oil, you got some wines.
You got some of the best cheesecake
in the world here as well,
but we're here for the $100 hot dog.
So Manny, $100 hot dog.
What makes this hot dog so special?
This isn't just a hot dog.
This is a croissant, ficelle bakery bun
with a Wagyu hot dog.
100% beef Wagyu.
On top of it, we have a very special
secret sauce that we make for you.
Then we're gonna put caviar on for you.
A little bit of gold.
When you eat the hot dog, you just feel amazing.
You feel like 100 bucks?
For sure.
With the mascarpone.
Get that beautiful cream.
I've never seen this on top of a hot dog.
She's gonna grab some caviar.
First time seeing caviar on a hot dog.
It actually looks like more of a dessert.
A savory dessert, no?
Caviar is done.
Now we're gonna add some chives.
The golden flakes.
We add gold to everything.
All right, guys, the $100 hot dog.
This is the most expensive hot dog I've ever seen.
This is amazing.
Look at this.
So we have croissant bun, Wagyu beef hot dog,
mascarpone sauce, have the caviar,
golden flakes on top, and some chives.
Hey, hey, influencers over here, what's happening?
No, I'm just kidding.
That's crazy.
You know, right away, the bun, nice and crunchy, delicate.
I love how it pairs all together.
So the saltiness of the caviar really cuts through
the cream of the mascarpone,
like a lightsaber through butter.
And now another bite.
Not the McDonald's CEO style.
I'm gonna have a real bite.
Oh my gosh.
You know what it is?
Like a light pillow, a mascarpone,
with that saltiness of the caviar.
These crazy flavors.
Amazing how there's so many textures in one bite.
Oh my God, I'm finishing this.
The gold tastes like Miami,
or a few girls I've dated here.
Sorry.
I'm gonna say, might be the most expensive hot dog I've had.
It's definitely the most delicious.
The top, man.
Even if you take off the caviar, it's the mascarpone sauce.
Wow, I can dip everything into that.
All right, so I still have some gold flakes in my lips,
but I'm gonna, you know, rank this, you know,
in terms of value, for sure it's on the lower end.
I'm gonna say two out of 10.
It's expensive hot dog,
but of course it is Miami,
the most expensive city to dine out in America.
But in terms of taste, this is a 15 out of 10, guys.
I mean, the taste can't be beat.
It is a mix between, I'd say a little sweet,
a little savory, it's the ultimate hot dog.
Number one in taste.
Oh my God.
Wow.
That was it.
We tried three different hot dogs.
$1, $15, and $100.
I'll say the $1 one, great,
but you know what?
Not great taste.
Second one, our betters, affordable and tasty.
To have this $100 hot dog, you know what?
I'll say it's very, very expensive,
but the best tasting hot dog of my life.
All right guys, if you wanna see more videos like this,
let me know in the comments below,
and if not, I'll see you next time.
Peace.
