Another look at the rad races put on by American Flat Track...this time DURING STURGIS!
We are headed to the American Flat Track races out of Glencoe campground. Can you see him up there?
And it's going to be a good time. It's the half mile, the Black Hills half mile,
railside Rapid City. And I think every year from here on out, Glencoe is going to do a bus
to the flat tracks. Today, Ashley and I are going to go ahead and ride on it.
But it's pretty cool how they have buses that will take you places. We're still waiting. Wrong bus.
Don't mind if I do. This is the way to travel. At least we don't have to ride.
I did my racing this morning. Nobody finished in front of me.
I was the only one on the track.
Okay, we are officially here. You ready? I am ready. Are you ready?
I'm ready. Two races in one week. You are one lucky girl. I'm so excited about this one.
Down here in the pits and guess who I run into? Hey, what's up guys? How you doing?
Jason Paul Michaels, man. How's the standard shop going over here in Orlando? It's going great,
man. It's going great. Out here at Sturgis. Happy to be here at the American Flat Track races
supporting the RSD Super Hooligans. Having a good time. Y'all remember my video with him
where we visited his shop in Orlando. Get all the beautiful, you know, branches. Man, good times,
good times. You still serving that nitro cold brew? We sure are, dude. We sure are. I need to
get back and get some of that. Yeah, you do. Yeah, you do. Let's watch these races. All right.
And they are staging. Can you see them back there? Let's see. Get the focus. They are staging the
riders back there right now. We're about to have another race. Up there, that is the Law Tigers
VIP booth. That's where we were sitting, but we decided the view and excitement was much better
from down here. Although, don't get me wrong, food, drinks, everything you want up there.
But down here, this is where the action's at. All right, y'all know the deal. My boy,
Corey Texter, number 65, is ready to race again. So another qualifying run, but we'll see how he
does on this one. Nonetheless, Corey, I'm rooting for you this time, brother. I know you got it.
We were talking the other day over lunch. I told you I feel it. You said you feel it.
Show the boys what you've got. So that's him on the far outside there at the red and white.
A lot of this is about the good start. What a wreck. He's getting up slow. Oh, no. That's never
good. You hate to see that. I can attest just from my little practice runs all alone out here,
how slick and slippery this can be and how quick something can happen to have these guys
brushing elbows, brushing handlebars at these types of speeds, at these corners, but it's that slick.
Man, scary stuff, guys. All right, Corey didn't win that heat, if you will, but he's still in it.
He's still going to the finals, I believe it. It's just kind of neat to see how each rider sets up
for their races. There's an old school bus, kind of like Igor over there. That's pretty neat.
He's just working in there, making it happen, man.
All right, it is just before the finals. All these racers are tuning up their bikes,
getting them all ready to get back out there, and we're going to see who's standing on the podium
today. It is insane to be back here and be able to be this close to seeing all of this race behind
I'm glad you like it, baby. It is pretty neat. Oh, there he goes right now, Corey texture,
running off between the trucks. Here's his setup, all by himself today.
Here's the thing about Corey today. Corey's crew is not with him today. He ended up having
to show up, and he's doing all of his own mechanicing, wrenching, prepping, everything.
Some of these other guys got full teams up there, and Corey's made it this far with them.
That's pretty cool. I mean, can you imagine? This is how he's doing it right now. Meanwhile,
you got guys over here with full teams like this, and he's still keeping up with them.
It is the finals, and they are ripping around.
Racers. So, Corey texture's sister, Shannon texture, actually won, doing her victory lap
right now. That girl is beating every one of those boys out there, time and time.
I think it's freaking awesome. Again, I think it's great too. Congratulations, Miss texture.
That is one thing I love about the Law Tigers. They sponsor all these races. They stand behind
as riders, already just up there giving away the trophies to the winners. The twins,
that guy right there meets. He's the most winning flat track racer ever, I believe,
to a sold out crowd here in Sturgis. All right, y'all, here we go.
You can just feel the vibration down in your chest. Oh, yeah.
They're on the track together, y'all. These guys are flying by.
There it is. Nice wins again. Boy, it was a close one.
And there you have it, a full Indian sweep yet again. Boys are fast, and I can say personally,
from my time on this track yesterday, them boys got grit. I don't know how they do it.
And the fans storm the field, and that is the end of yet another amazing American flat track race.
Completely awesome, you guys. Remember, dream until your dreams come true.
I did it again.
Okay, it's official. I am a big time race fan. Still got a lot to learn. There's a lot going
on out there, but I am absolutely addicted to American flat track racing.
