I’ve spent so much time wondering why the stories I grew up with aren't being told the right way anymore. You know that feeling when a story hits you so hard you have to just sit in silence for a minute?
That’s what I’m chasing here.
Bitter Kola isn't just another "African folktale" channel. It’s my way of digging up the heavy, real, and sometimes dark wisdom from African culture and putting it where it belongs -in front of people who actually care about mixing culture and storytelling with lessons
I spend hours researching these scripts and shaping every moral lesson because I believe these stories are mirrors. They show us who we really are when nobody is looking.
If you’re tired of the shallow stuff and want stories with actual weight, I’m glad you found this corner of the internet. Stick around, hit subscribe, and let's get into
I use AI tools for the narration and some visuals, but every word of the research and scripting comes from my own head and heart.
Hi, I am Bitter Kola and I want to tell you why I started this channel because I grew up with
stories. African stories. Beautiful African stories to learn from. Stories that when you finish the
story and you just sit there quiet because something in you just shifted. You learned
something and that's what I'm trying to recreate here. That feeling. Every story on this channel
is something that I found, I researched and I shaped myself. Stories about real human choices,
about greed, love, betrayal, everyday life, all those things that families hide. These are African
stories but trust me, you'll see yourself in them. You'll learn something. If that sounds like
something that you need right now or something you think you would enjoy, please stick around.
Subscribe, watch a couple of my videos and tell me what you think. My stories are actually for
mature minds but I'll try to use visuals as much as possible to keep it enjoyable for you. And
please, if you have any story ideas, please hit me with them. I love to hear your story ideas and I
love to hear from you too. And before you go, please like this video and share this channel
with someone. I mean, who doesn't like a good story, right? I'll see you in the channel.
