Shohei Ohtani’s RBI double highlights MASSIVE day at the plate! 💪🔥 (Three times on base!)

It is a different animal a day game with an off day and heading home and especially when you're down and out with your best player seven time feeling his reach base in the series and Ohtani takes a strike struck out his first time and now one shy of his longest hit list streak twenty twenty which is by far his worst season always a slow starter and there really was nothing besides the start in 2020 with a 60 game season get an 0 for 19 and he's over his last 18 here he's also looking for his first hit the day after one of his starts this year for eleven with six K's the day after he starts he talked about how McCullers wants to pitch well just for his team finish off the team that gave him a chance well then it goes hand in hand with continuing your career that goal he can pitch well through the end of the season which they're going to need with all the injuries he will get an opportunity to still pitch and now colors are showing signs of pain look at his fingers there a blister issue towards his hand to and so dealt with blister issues last year sometimes the conversation can be yeah I got one but we don't have anybody else you know if everybody's healthy it's a different conversation than if nobody's healthy came back from the arm issue last year but multiple stints on the injured list with the blister issue and yeah I was on that same spot last year when I contributed to a six ninety two balls and two strikes run out of room and not just a handful of guys we're talking all star after all star all their best guys here's the two to Ohtani goes down the line and ends the hit list drought with an extra base shot into the corner double for Ohtani second and third with nobody out a spark from the nine spot who has been a spark for a while since the middle of April Freeland's on base percentage is close to five hundred in the top 10 in the National League and Ohtani breaks out and all of a sudden there is some fire in this Dodger offense Ohtani put it into that hit list drought with a double and his first hit this year the day following a pitching start on a strike bookended nicely here where you have the day off yesterday didn't hit during his start day and then the off day coming tomorrow perhaps a nice little reset for him give this double in the middle of that chance to get three more at bats this one and two more not a two on from Alexander he watches one to the back door two and two Dodger production in this series it's all been in the first three innings 15 runs in the first three innings in this series or 13 of the 15 seven on Monday and it's been a tough day six so far today and that segment of time is over with just outside for ball for Ohtani zone for the second time double in a walk his last two times run scored and both those trips on Alexander who was built up as a starter in Triple A this year taking down all he can fifty three pitches over his couple innings of work first and third two out one one to Ohtani is in the dirt keep pulling the string on him three off speed pitches in a row so he's still showing some discipline and the big green light right here where he wants to get to get a strike swats it to the left side in the base here and the score is rushing Freeland goes to third ten runs for L.A. good sign Evan Ohtani shoot a ball the other way like that shoot it that way in the air we saw in the beginning of this series he humpback liner that direction on the field and start seeing what the ball's doing off the bat the spin the angles that was a good sign Ohtani came in over his last 17 he's two for three with a walk today and he takes a strike Dodgers have put pressure on Houston the whole game for the seven innings the leadoff hitters got on three of the four of those they have scored bouncing ball Matthews will go to second for one that's all they'll get kind of an awkward side shuffle throw right there.
