I feel great surprisingly.
I get there, there's no cutting shears in my kit.
How am I supposed to do a haircut with no cutting shears?
That's who I am and how I look.
I just ran 10 blocks in Manhattan.
Hey guys, it's Monday, May 5th.
It's Met Gala Day.
It's been a lot of work.
It's been a lot of preparing and I'm excited.
And this is kind of my process in the morning.
I like to wake up early Monday morning.
I just have these moments to myself where I can just be relaxed, take my time.
So now I'm just going to grab my stuff, meet my team, and head over to Jenna first.
Before Caesar for Styles, it was Envy for Envy.
Wait, Envy for Caesar?
Yeah, Envy for Caesar.
After a while I'm like, that's a little cocky.
So then I went Caesar for Styles instead of Envy for Caesar.
Was it the letter N?
Envy.
Moment of gratitude.
Big deep breath in.
Blow it out.
Thank you universe for keeping us together, keeping us safe, keeping us on time, and having a blast today.
Amen.
Let's go.
It always happens that I'm in the moment, I'm working, I'm in the zone, and I forget to capture content.
My hands are busy, my brain is busy, and I just don't think about it until it's too late and then I miss the moment.
And then I go back and I'm like, damn, I didn't get that.
I don't have enough content.
So I had this idea to get the Ray-Ban Metaglasses.
This is what I'll be wearing today.
Let me take you on a ride with me to see what I see.
I'm doing an actual wet finger wave set for her texture, so it's going to take a little time.
So this worked out perfect because I could set her, let her sit for a few hours, go do Sierra, and then head back to finish Jenna.
I just left Jenna Ortega's hotel, set her, got her ready.
She's in pins, her hair is setting.
We are about to be at the plaza.
I'm going to run upstairs, get Sierra ready, and then head back.
I feel great, surprisingly.
I mean, I always have a little anxiety, but I'm excited.
I get to Sierra, and I'm ready to go.
And so I have to cut this blonde wig into a short pixie haircut.
I'm like, all right, give me the scissors so I can cut this wig.
And she's like, oh, you don't have any scissors here in the pit.
And I'm like, what?
In my mind, I'm like, you've been sitting here for two hours knowing that I didn't have scissors to do a haircut, and you never problem solved?
I don't know what to talk about. Let's do it.
So I get there, and I have to finish the haircut.
There's no cutting shears in my pit.
How am I supposed to do a haircut with no cutting shears?
I had to run to a local salon and ask for cutting shears.
I don't even know what that is.
And I had to give them my house keys as collateral that I promised I would give them the scissors back.
I had to literally use eyebrow scissors to do a full haircut.
That's why I'm an hour late.
I mean, is it fully dry?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah?
Yeah.
Are you absolutely sure?
Yes.
Underneath the pins?
Because sometimes if you don't take the pins out, the moisture stays underneath the clips.
Yeah.
Yeah, I checked the pins, but I will go back and recheck one more time.
Not the pins, the clips.
Like the flat clips?
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
I removed the clips and made sure I tried and checked and touched.
Okay.
All right.
We're in the car.
So it should be good.
Okay.
Sounds good.
I'll tell you guys in a bit.
Okay.
All right, bye.
Bye.
I just ran 10 blocks in Manhattan.
And I'm a little stressed, but I think it's going to be great.
Oh.
What if anyone can do it?
This is my life.
It's like literally nonstop.
