The lights are bright at Livigno Snow Park and all eyes are on the halfpipe.
Next up is Japan's Ono Mitsuki. She is not afraid to let it ride. Big frontside 1080 coming in
switch with the cab. The switch frontside 9. The cab 9 into the switch backside spin. Arguably the
hardest way to spin in a pipe. Switch backside 540. She did not hold back on that run. She is vying
for a podium spot. In 85 she's rewarded from the judges into first place. Representing the
Republic of Korea is Kaon Choi. Oh cab 1080 sending positive vibes. Hopefully Kaon Choi is able to
rush that one off. A big round of applause for her coming down the halfpipe under her own power.
So Chloe Kim defending gold medalist dropping in. Oh cab double cork 1080 brings her around a forward
frontside 900 with the tail grab into the McTwist. That's a proper McTwist right there
and we're gonna have a new leader with that run from Chloe Kim. And Chloe Kim is going to get a
88 from the judges and move into first. Kaon Choi not wasting any time on her third run. She is
feeling it. Dropping in and let's go. Dropping in switch. Switch backside 900. I like the body
language. She is looking good. Doesn't go for the big trick there. The 1080 goes for the cab 7
into the frontside 900. Backside 900 coming in forward here for a frontside 720. Maybe we'll
oh she just puts down a clean one top to bottom and it could get her up into a bronze medal
position. She is going into first place. Look at that 90.25 for Kaon Choi. She just overtook her
mentor Chloe Kim. But right now first and second has yet to be decided because Chloe Kim is just
2.25 points behind Kaon Choi. Chloe Kim of course looking for that three-peat to become the first
snowboarder to ever go back to back to back. Cab double court 1080 and doesn't do it. She will walk
away with a silver medal tonight and Kaon Choi will celebrate her first Olympic medal and she goes
gold. What a night going from a fall in that first run coming back and winning gold. That is an Olympic
magic moment and we have our medalists Kaon Choi, Chloe Kim and Ono Mitsuki.
