Hello my loves, I'm back with another vlog, two weeks in a row.
Who am I?
I'm like so happy to be back on YouTube.
I love seeing all of your comments on our last vlog and thank you guys so much for the
warm welcome back to YouTube.
It feels so good to be vlogging again.
Today I wanted to do like a healthy morning in my life and answer some of those questions
that I've been seeing on YouTube and also on my Instagram.
And of course a morning routine is always fun to do.
Is this the most realistic morning in my life?
Probably not.
There are a lot of times where I wake up and I just check my phone and chug coffee and
run out the door.
I do get asked a lot if I eat before I work out and that really just depends on if I wake
up and I'm feeling hungry.
This morning I'm in my follicular phase so I have a little bit more energy and I think
I'll get right into my workout and then make breakfast after.
So one of the things I think that made the biggest difference for me was adding strength
Pilates into my routine.
I'm using heavier weights so like in my class today I just used five pound hand weights
and I used the two pound ankle weights and that has really made a big difference for
me.
So I like to do a couple of those workouts a week and then I like to do a couple of mat
Pilates classes a week and I feel like that mix has helped me get really strong and defined
but stay long and lean and get that nice mindfulness that I love with my workouts because I feel
like I work out just as much for my body and how it looks as how I feel, the energy it
gives me.
So yeah, loving that routine.
You guys also asked if I ever go to a gym and lift weights so no I don't.
I only do Pilates at home and my ideal schedule would be five days a week and doing workouts
that are 30 to 45 minutes and then I like to walk outside when I can.
I don't count steps but if I can go walk for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, have time
in my day, I will do that as well.
And also you have to eat for your results so we need to go have a protein smoothie.
So we can get those muscles looking jaffed.
Are we ready for the pour?
We're ready.
It's the key to a thick smoothie.
Add the liquid slowly otherwise it's going to be thin and runny and soupy.
We want it thick.
There we go.
It looks like ----.
Should we do this again?
It does not look good.
I forgot I used chocolate protein.
Normally I use vanilla so this color is just not really giving the wellness goals I was
hoping for.
Normally it's like a pretty kind of green smoothie but we won't take any close ups of
this smoothie.
This is going to be more for enjoyment off camera.
Bottoms up.
It kills me to not have an aesthetic smoothie right now but...
Let's do another question.
A lot of you guys were asking why we left Australia and came to the States.
So I love LA.
We've visited here quite a few times and I always knew I wanted to live here at some
point.
It's a great base for Align.
I'm really excited to do lots of pop-up events and we just did one in New York actually that
was so exciting.
We got to meet members, launched our activewear brand.
I'm really looking forward to doing more of that, to building a team here and I love Australia.
I feel like it has such a special place in my heart.
Who knows if we'll end up going back there but for now, this chapter, it feels good to
be here and I'm excited about, you know, the new opportunities and what we're creating
over here.
I need to shower this sweat off of myself and then let's go to the farmer's market.
I love to do this on a Sunday.
I like to get any sort of like produce I can there for the week and sort of just get myself
set up for a busy week ahead.
I feel like I've really nailed my like everyday glowy makeup routine.
I went down this like deep dive of color analysis on TikTok and I switched up just like the
tones.
I feel like using more sort of full tone products makes a really big difference for me.
I was using a lot of like pinks and really bronze colors and I was just like looking
a little bit orange.
So having a routine where it's like glowy, fresh and you just like feel confident that
takes like 10 minutes is so important.
Making sure that I'm trying to avoid like pore clogging ingredients has made a big difference
for my skin too and helping to prevent breakouts.
This Makeup by Mario Sculpting Contour is my favorite makeup product I think of the
year.
I just started using it and again like cooler tone, I feel like it's so creamy and blends
so well.
The next question was where are you getting all of your cute outfits from and my favorite
clothing brands.
So one thing I have to say is Australia has so many good brands.
I am really big on finding things that are good quality at an affordable price point
and I really feel like investing in basics and like building a good capsule wardrobe
is so important.
So a few of my favorites would be Henny.
I love this brand Henny, Dish and Kukai a lot of the times when I'm vlogging or wearing
like a cute outfit.
It's probably from there.
I feel like they just make really good staples and I have to say like one thing I love about
being in a city after spending so much time in Bali, it's nice to get dressed up and it's
nice to you know put together an outfit.
It's something that I really love.
I love you know getting ready and taking care of myself and doing my makeup.
This is Sleepy Girl The Road Pocket Blush and I absolutely love this blush.
It's really nice for like day to day kind of makeup just giving you that nice little
glow.
Are we seeing that?
Do we love it?
A lot of you guys also wanted to know when our wedding is and you know your guess is
as good as mine at this point.
We have been so busy with the move and getting set up here that I can't even imagine planning
a wedding on top of all that right now and I'm also kind of like not sure what we want
to do for it.
If you've been married recently, did you have a big wedding with everyone there or what
about a loping?
I'm like really in between the two because I have lived in five countries now.
Alex has lived in three countries.
So we have friends and family all over the place.
So even just deciding like where to have the wedding because it'll no matter what be a
destination.
So if you have any wedding planning tips, you can maybe give those to me because I need
them.
I am really excited to try on dresses though.
There you have it, my 10 minute makeup.
Let's get dressed.
Okay, 20 degrees.
What are we going to wear?
I really want to go get some fresh flowers at the market.
I feel like it's so nice to have flowers at the start of the week.
Really just romanticizing my Sunday reset.
This is actually all Henny.
So I'm wearing this Henny Anella top.
I'm obsessed with the back.
I feel like it's just so cute, but it's a very simple, easy fit.
Valentina jeans.
These were so viral in Australia that they used to sell out in every size in two minutes.
So they would do their drop at like 7 p.m. and you would be getting like hot flashes
like trying to get your hands on these jeans.
And honestly, I have them in three colors now.
They're just that good.
Like they're the best kind of like oversized jean.
And then a Henny bomber too.
I have this great Freya bag, Zara shoes, and YSL sunnies, and now we have the perfect outfit
to run errands.
Let's go.
So we just walked down to the market.
It was so busy.
I love getting like the fresh local produce and it's nice to have things that are in season.
And then I got some avocados, gonna make a little brunch when we get back.
And then I got these gorge flowers.
I love fresh flowers on a Sunday.
I feel like it's just such a nice way to romanticize your morning and your Sunday reset routine.
And the man gave me a bouquet for free as a gift because, I don't know, just my lucky
day today.
Things are looking up guys.
So nice to have fresh flowers, just like an instant mood booster, you know.
I like to have a little brunch.
I always have a protein smoothie after I work out, but now I feel like I'm ready for like
an actual meal.
So I'm gonna make one of my favorite things, which is, I like to call it a green tartine,
which is really just a fancy way of saying a toast with different toppings.
I really have to redeem myself.
I feel like I have to make this meal aesthetic after the smoothie fiasco earlier, but you
guys had a lot of questions about what I eat, how I eat.
So one of the biggest changes that I made with my diet and nutrition was starting to
add in more protein.
And I feel like this has made such a big change.
I was eating a mostly plant-based diet before, and I started adding in eggs, cottage cheese,
yogurt, you know, eating seafood again.
And it has made such a difference, like not only am I more satisfied by my meals, I feel
like it really is important for building muscle, fueling your workouts properly.
Let's grab the toast.
Oh my god, I am obsessed with a seed bread.
I am so happy I finally found a good gluten-free bread.
This was a bit of a struggle, and I kept asking people for recommendations, and people were
sending me keto breads and paleo breads, and I just feel like they taste weird.
They just taste like gums.
This one's really good.
It's gluten-free grains and seeds.
But I've just been trying to make sure that I'm always having protein at meals.
Something I try to do is have 20 to 30 grams of protein.
Cottage cheese is like such an easy win.
I never thought it would be something I talk about in every single vlog.
This looks so good.
Starting to redeem myself after this smoothie.
This is starting to look good, guys.
I just feel like you should really enjoy everything that you're eating, and there's, you know,
so many ways to make eating healthy enjoyable, and something you look forward to.
And I think that's the best way to stay motivated with all of your wellness routines, is to
make sure you're doing workouts you love and eating foods you love.
That's what helps me.
Little green tartines.
The last question is, what is up next for Align?
What are you guys working on?
I'm so excited about everything that we're doing with both Align app and Align label.
Something I'm excited about this year are meetups.
We're going to be doing live Pilates classes and pop-ups, so I get to work out with you
in person.
You can try Align label activewear.
And if you have a city that you think we should come to, leave me a comment and let me know.
We're definitely going to be going around North America, but maybe even, you know, UK,
Europe.
Very exciting.
We're also working on our summer collection for Align label, so I'm really pumped.
We've been, like, looking at different styles and fabrics and colors, so that's exciting
to me.
And then there's something that will be coming very soon that I am so excited to share more
about.
It's a big part of why we moved to LA in the first place, so stay tuned because one of
the upcoming vlogs is going to be showing you all of that, so that's it, guys.
It's really exciting.
But I'm going to dig into this avocado toast.
Thank you so much for spending the morning with me, and I will see you in the next one.
