Hi everyone, today I'm going to be painting a cherry blossom tree branch.
I'm using 360gsm acrylic paper for this and I've just folded it in half ready to make my card.
The colours I'm going to be using are raw umber, I'm using permanent rose and white for the flowers
and maybe just a tiny bit of cadmium yellow just for the centre of the blossom flowers.
I'm using a filbert brush, this one is size 4. I'm also going to use a size 1 round,
size 0 would do just as well. So let's get started.
I'm painting in my branches using the side of the filbert brush.
I just want to get the general shape. I'll tidy that up in a minute with my smaller brush.
I'm using acrylic paper today because I'm turning this into a handmade card
but you could use a canvas or board, it would work equally as well.
Now that the branch is dry I'm going to start on the actual blossoms.
I'm putting a little of each colour on the brush without mixing it together.
Gently pressing the tip of the brush down and then twisting to form the petal shape.
