Although hair clippers have become ubiquitous in all barbershops and salons the world over, there is still a romantic edge to traditional scissor cuts. We would never seek to do away with their electricity powered cousins, but we think shears deserve their day in the sun this summer. Here are seven of our favorite tasteful trims. Just as how you would need different tools for different occasions, you also need different pairs of professional hairdressing scissors depending on the type of haircut. Not all hairdressing tools are the same. They are designed with different materials and features to help you achieve the desired hairstyle with professional results every single time. Let’s check out the different types of scissors that we offer for popular haircutting techniques!
THINNING AND TEXTURISING
As a hairdresser, you will probably encounter a lot of clients with thick and coarse hair that request to thin and texturise their hair. Using your normal tool to cut voluminous hair is a no-go. You’ll need professional hairdressing thinners that are specifically designed for texturising.
Thinner scissors usually have teeth or notches on one side, while the other side is a smooth blade. Using thinners ensure that there is less damage for the hair compared to using razors to thin out the hair. We offer a wide range of thinning and texturizing scissors which are designed to give you a clean and precise haircut every time thanks to the premium grade steel.
Guys on this one I don't know what his hair is like yet so I just uh I'm gonna go ahead and
you know cut the crown with the shears first then I'm gonna pop a blend through and then I'll
re-tidy it up. So look I went around here now I'm just coming up a little bit and pulling
just a little bit more to create that blend where it just flies across. He wants a two with the
taper and this is the first time he's been tapered so we'll give him a nice light taper just
nice and clean and go through and keep it fussy. You guys saw the other taper that I
did where I broke it up into sections this one I'll just do without breaking it up into sections
once you guys see them both. So last time I broke it up into sections just doing this
back part here and then crawling across to the sides this time I'm just gonna
blend the whole cut and then taper it. Guys I just ghosted out right here because I'm
gonna use the shears to blend that in there and last time we made a guide so this time
we'll go without a guide and just free flow it in. How did you find this? Um I found it through
a friend actually yeah and um my old barber. Where did that happen? Probably like a month ago.
All right and who is the old barber? Um El Dorado barber. Oh cool. Yeah they're like right up the
street. Oh did they close or was it just your barber that ended it? It was just my barber.
Oh yeah cool. Yeah. Shout out to that barber shop. Oh yeah. Yeah. Wait a minute and where is that
shop at? Is it right up the street or is it on like Montgomery? Um no it's right up the street
it's like a mall. U-Bank? Yeah. Good I think this isn't far from there.
What are uh what are their prices for a haircut? Um usually it was like
$1.50 for like a regular just like their basic haircut.
There's like is a taper one of their basic haircuts or not? No not really it's like
more old-fashioned I guess. I got you.
I hate when fools put on a little bit of tapers in the regular haircut. It's like damn you're
almost trying to make that the price of a razor babe. It's like yeah I use the straight blade
on every haircut unless I'm doing like a scissor haircut or unless they don't want me to use
I like this place it's really nice.
See and I wanted to do mine more like artistic not not really necessarily following the trend
of the barber shop. It's like dude I'm all about the art. Yeah yeah it's really nice.
Forget about the barber pole and all that like stuff is cool but it's like I want more about
the art. Yeah. Like over here it's ultra high-end but it's uh it's ultra private it would be like
one after another and it's like they get to book their appointment and then you know enjoy
their appointment. Yeah. You'll see you might see the other head walk in and then it's like
yeah. Even because I'm in the middle of buying a big building but it's like uh I'm still gonna
you know build a throne of a private spot. Yeah. Because I like that private vibe. Yeah.
Spray paint everywhere I can concentrate because even like this like these this isn't even like a
normal you know it's like you're styling you have it looking fire like it's you know creating
Yeah.
Guys probably even a tiny touch more perfection. That's the difference between the hairstyle and
the haircut guys. You saw how I styled it and you can see how he looks. Oh wow. See how that is? Yeah
that looks really good. And watch I'll show you the mirror because I want you to see the taper
that I had in mind for you just to work lost right in but still stable. Watch you can grab it watch
check it out just so you can see the back look look at the taper on it. Oh yeah that looks really
good. Yeah. And what do you think you like it? Oh I love it. All right sick brother hell yeah.
