Rain to Italian sunshine: A day in my Van 🌧️☀️🍝

I decided to come to the mountains. I thought it was going to be a great experience. I thought this is it, this is going to be the best place I've ever found to sleep in my life. So I got here last night, set up in this car park and then the thunder came. The thunder came and wiped the lighting off of the whole town. No light was left. Literally I was in the car park and it was like just the lights went out. I thought it was the end of time. So instead of getting severe depression sitting here, we're gonna go somewhere a little sunnier where I don't have to crinkle and squeak. That would be nice. All right so let's leave. We're gonna drive somewhere sunny and wonderful and my seat is so wet right now I can't even deal with it because of the leak in the side. I'm just trying to hold it together right now but the truth is if I don't drive away it's gonna be a sorry sight. Okay so we're gonna put the sunglasses on. Okay this is how we get through bad things in life. We just ramp up the style okay and then we drive. We drive anywhere other than here. So the rain, goodbye. Goodbye rain, let's go on a mission. Come with me, let's go. You know what, driving through places in your bag and just like being able to observe them without going into the towns and the cities, now that is a luxury. It's my favorite. It's my favorite way to explore places, just to drive past and through. That way you get to explore it and get the comfort of your own environment. And you can have your chandelier and I can have Jerome with me and it's just like, it's a vibe. Everywhere looks so nice all of a sudden. I feel like I'm going out of my depressive era of today and yesterday. It's as if I'm wearing rose-tinted glasses. I think I always am. Found the sun and a town. What a, what a lucky day. What a lucky day. How this has turned around. I found a little, found a little Italian town. We're actually near Portofino right now which I'm very excited to go and visit because everywhere's looking a little bit like Saint-Tropez and it's kind of, it's kind of strange but cool. So I'm parked in this, this really great car park right now. It's super chic. It's just concrete but there was a seagull. There was a massive seagull outside. It was hella fine. The excellent. So yeah, let's, let's go and explore. Let's go in the sun. Let's shake the rain off. Let's go and let's just go. I don't love that. A bit like Saint-Tropez. I think I might have found the Italian, Italian Saint-Tropez. I think I've done it. I found a backup. Switching over to Gigi cam. Let's do it. Let's do it. What do you guys, what do you guys think? I like it. I like it a lot. It's a, there's a little heart fence over there which I'm vibing with. The clock is clocking. I like the washing lines. They're aesthetic. They're giving aesthetic and I love that it's a little court and it's got the pretty lamps and it's got the, well I'm not that pleased about the seagulls actually. They're bigger than Gigi which is sort of terrifying but we're just gonna roll with the times. And the coffee here. You get an espresso and then you get the hot water separately and I'm gonna tell you this morning I drank an espresso and I thought this was milk and I don't like milk in the coffee and I just left it on the side and I was like why is it so short because you know I like to take my time and then afterwards I was just like no that was the water for the drink so that's a new development in Italy that tripped me out. It tripped me out but other than that it's a vibe. It's a vibe. I'm loving it. I don't know what to do now. I really want fresh pasta. I'm not really a pasta gal but I feel like I have to be because there was a fresh pasta place. How exciting is that? Even if I don't want it I just, I need to experience that so we're gonna go do that. I didn't know what to ask for. I panicked so hard. I was like she doesn't speak English, I don't speak Italian, I don't eat pasta. I was like ----. So I was just a very kind lady in there helped me out. She's a real icon. Thank you. Grazie. I don't like not speaking the language. It stressed me out so much. It's fine. It's fine. We got pasta. We got pasta. It's a plain pasta because I'm boring but that's all I have to say. We're gonna go back to the bar now because it's getting dark and I want to try this. Come with, come with me. Alrighty, I found a parking space. I think it's up a hill which is super exciting, very thrilling. We're gonna go find it. I don't have my key. Well of course it would be on the floor but let's go. Shit me, I'm tired. Lovely place. Wonderful. Really cool. I really loved it there actually. Literally a mini Saint-Tropez and there was a pasta shop. Life is great. Life is great. But I'm so hungry and tired that it is masking the happiness so we're gonna find this Okay, we're driving. We're driving. We're driving. Game over. Okay, I hope you enjoyed that. They all look like recent signs and there's a lot of them but you can kind of hear the the water and there's like mountains all up here so I think, I think I'm gonna leave. I'm gonna take the the posters that have just been posted everywhere legitimately so I'm gonna find a space. It sucks though because it's so nice here but at least we got to experience a little bit of it. Okay, let's find somewhere else. Okay, this looks like a good space. Let's park here. Oh, it's so pretty. Okay, okay, we're parking here, we're parking here. I have a massive problem in the fact that I have chipped my nail. Look at that. Look at that. Not because I care about them being symmetrical, which I do, but because it is catching on everything. Every fiber known to mankind has got attached to this little thing and it's been hooked. Oh god, oh my god. Sorry, it really stresses me the **** out. Everything that could catch on a nail has been caught on my nail and the worst part is is I don't have nail clippers. I don't have nail clippers because I've lost mine. So that's a really exciting update. I really hope you care because this is ruining my life right now. So please send love. Send love because I need it. I'm really not being over dramatic right now and I'm just gonna have to cut this. Sorry, you have to cut it. I don't know why it's like really freaking me out. One plaster left. Look at that. For a nail. Okay, let's cook this. Can we cook the pasta? Fiorella Pasta. 1979. Camoli. That's how I read this one by the way. See, I have the accent but I cannot speak Italian. I'm actually really good at accents. You know, I'm actually really good at everything. I'm not even joking. I'm not even joking. See, this is the exact reason I have a candle arbor in here. Okay, it's a bit unbalanced with the one candle but I'm doing the best I can. Okay, so let's just try this. This is a burger. I spread my... Gigi, there you go my darling. Eat your heart out. Okay, let's try this. I'm not gonna lie, it's a little bit cold now but we're gonna vibe. Very good. Rather splitting, darling. 10 out of 10. 10 out of 10. It's the best pasta I've ever eaten. It just... it's hitting different. Like, I almost feel healthy eating it. Did you just have to say it with the tactile apportionment? I somehow cooked it to perfection as well. Don't know how that happened. Why does my accent do this? Sometimes I'll just turn into more British and other days I'll have a European-American-British-mangled accent which just happens because I don't live in an English-speaking country. It's really strange how your voice sort of naturally finds its own place. I'm happy in my little mixed up accent. It's my own one. I made this. I made this accent up. But I think a lot of people forget that I speak French. Like, I'm in France. I don't go to England. Like, I'm not in England. And sometimes it sort of frazzles how I say things and I just thought I'd cover that one up. How do you eat this sophisticatedly? I'm no pasta connoisseur. In fact, I just... I've spent so many years just being feral in the van and I'm just like, don't tell anyone I do that. Keep that a secret, okay? But seriously, all rules go out the window when you just live in a van off-grid. It's like, you know, I'm like the main voice that governs me. You know, I rule myself. I own myself. I can do whatever I want. That's my friend's plan. Oh, wait. I don't think the camera... Oh my god, we're gonna have a Lady and the Tramp moment. Wait. Okay, it's not gonna happen. She doesn't like pasta. Okay, I've finished my pasta. We've had a wonderful day. I'm gonna stay here tonight and wake up to the sea, which is gonna be very fun. Um, there are no signs here saying I can't stay here, so I'm gonna stay here. It's not that a sign would really make a difference, unless it was that landfall slide. That was the exception because I really don't want to be in Go get some fresh pasta. Go get some fresh pasta. Do it. You won't regret it. I can't guarantee it'll be as good as the one from a little shop in Italy, but like a genuine pasta shop in Italy, but I'm sure that there's still gonna be some real contenders out there, so...
