Edmarie Leon vs Yeh Yi-Tian | WT - R32 | #ITTFWorlds2026

Lovely backhand punch there, wow what a quick arm speed from that distance but perhaps she was not in the right position what an exchange between this pair able to transition from defense into attack and there she goes yeah takes the opening game 11-5 or Edmarie Leon was attacking and she was able to get those next ball back and make her play that extra shot and then find the right time to impose to dominate her in the in the rankings for Puerto Rico and they've done that switch to give them that extra chance in that third match get the momentum in the team get that positive attitude but here Ye Yi Tian is just she doesn't want to give any Ye Yi Tian five game points and she manages to close it out overall I'm very very impressed with her consistency as you said how good can she be already inside the top 50 at 45 but Leon is showing us that she does have the skills and that point all started without disrupting the rhythm and a fault called on Ye Yi Tian's service there well we have the first TTR call of the day on table one degree she has served at well she is quite a way of 30 degrees so an unsuccessful challenge means she has just one remaining throughout the course of this match which could be a short one if she continues in this vein of form have the option to challenge because sometimes the players do forget serving and throwing the ball back at what degree at what angle and to be honest it could help them in the long run to make sure that they don't get faulted in the future oh right off the white paint the coach was level bring Ye Yi Tian out of position and then try and switch it back all of a sudden there's a split second difference where the contact on your back is ever so slightly different that ball just dropped another one saved oh it's a rocket you can see a smile on Leon's face she really kept up with Ye Yi Tian despite the difference in their rankings
