Cruz/Brasher vs. Vieira/Chamereau - Pool Play Highlights | Saquarema 2026 #BeachProTour

Hello and welcome to the Volleyball World presentation of the Beach Pro Tour. It'll be Vieira to start off for France and here we go. Brasher gets the first look and she goes over the top. You can hear the emphatic. Americans will try Vieira and that one is blocked. Comes in a little soft and it makes it easy for the defender to read that it's going off speed. Oh, that's a scoop of chocolate, scoop of vanilla for Kristen Cruz. They always feel it's a rarity if she ever misses. And there's a nice little slap up the middle. As many golf references as I possibly can. You know, Kristen Cruz attacking the ball is very similar to a Scottie Scheffler where you... There's a nice look. She makes the... France hanging close here. The Americans really unable to extend too much. Kristen out of the middle. And that's becoming a swing. I feel like we see more and more. And if you go sit in the middle, you leave so much court on either side wide open. It's just kind of counterintuitive. Nice play Brasher. And they turn one there. But it does require a lot of precision as well. And just been a little bit loose in execution on some of those sets. A little more traditional. That's going to be easy pickings for Kristen. Again out of the middle. And she's going to go to the away corner. And that is a tremendous swing from Chamereau on two. And that nicely handled on two. 18 apiece. Nice little one-arm cover. But it goes back to the French side. And Vieira will have another opportunity. She puts it away. Cruz. Nice pickup by Chamereau. Cruz has got it. Hold a little over on two. Bump to the corner. How about that? It'll be Cruz again. And that is nicely done right up the middle. Set point number three to France. A little bit of a quick pass. And there you go. The pass was fast. The set got kind of tight to the net. And Chamereau closes it out to steal set number one from the Americans. And get back to it. But we reset the scoreboard. It'll be Vieira to serve just like it was in set number one. And that one almost got it on the block. Almost got it on the turnaround. But ultimately it's a kill. And Brasher closes the door on that one. Frequently our line judges get those wrong. Especially on slow moving shots like that. But anyways our officials get it correct ultimately. And there's a nice look. Try an attempt at kind of a bait. Cleanly. This time Brasher gets a hand on it. Another good pickup out of the middle from Cruz. She's just got to pop this one over. Third dig. And Vieira. Not yet. Long rally going here. Still going. And finally. Maybe to everyone's relief. That was just a little bit of a mishandle there. That one picked up Vieira in transition. And finally right to Cruz. And that jumbo's not going to fall. But it's going to cause France to scramble and just give it back. Free ball here for the U.S. Another good pull dig from Chamreau. Not yet. Kind of a wild free ball rally here. And that one's going to fall for Cruz. And that's kind of uh... Can then come front side to attack. That is a tremendous side out. It was a really really good serve from Chamreau. I think they can sort of wave off your challenge. Because that's not something that can be looked at. You know the ball mark in the sand is one thing. But if the rope bounced on the way by. That is dug by Chamreau in retreat. Cruz can't control that one again. Heavy heat from Chamreau. It's gonna... Nice little put away there. Brasher wrist away. Terran will have the first shot at it. That will be picked up. Sent back over. Kristen. And a little wrist away. Is good. So we will see a third set. 21 to 12. Brazil's national team headquarters are here. Right across the street from the beach. Great facilities they've got out there. Likely this year as well. All right. So her ability to dig balls short. And immediately get back into the meat of the court. That little baby. Brasher another good touch. And a little one-arm spear. Knuckle pokey dig. Seeing it all. Vieira with another opportunity. And that is a great shot. That set got a little bit off the net. And then does find the sideline for Vieira. France can't pay it off. Chamreau now going with the fake around the back. Cruz not fooled. And then that is just delicate. A good disguise of that shot. Chamreau again hard away. Good serve Chamreau. But Cruz is on it. Vieira again misses the mark. Can't believe it. It was indeed out. Now it's a nice hammer on two. But kept alive by France. And Vieira up there blocking. The third time is a charm for Taryn Brasher. It was a wonderful dig. And then block in this one. Chance to close it out immediately. How about that dig? A little shoulder cover. And Chamreau gets it to fall. So not yet. Three chances now to side out for it. And they won't have to. That serve misses. And that is how this one ends. 15-11 in favor of the United States.
