So today we're making diamonds.
Diamonds that are violet flavor and we're going to use the colors delivered by the customer.
It's going to be a bronze brownish color and a dark blue.
So for the dark blue I'm going to start off with our darkest blue that we have
and I'm going to add some black to that.
We're also going to be using this color to make the diamond.
We need some more now for the bronze.
Start off with brown and since our brown has this orange glow to it
I'm going to be adding some black citric acid and white coloring.
Checking out the color this way and also letting the colored parts cool down a bit faster.
I was happy with the brown and then for the blue it looks good to me as well.
Maybe a bit oversaturated but we'll fix that.
And then for the center I'm going to do the same thing.
Letting that sugar cool down even faster this way.
I think this will be the first time that we'll be making a diamond
but this design does have some complications.
We're going to be making every outline of every shape individually
and we're going to have to make sure that all the lines will connect
exactly how they need to be connected.
How are we going to do that?
We'll see.
So by stretching this piece of candy millions of tiny air bubbles get folded into the sugar
and that will leave the candy white.
And that's that.
Still have both my arms and a piece of white sugar.
So what more can we ask for?
From this point on all will come down to shaping the exact sizes and forms that we need
and having a piece of blue sugar that will make a consistent outline
to go around those triangle shapes.
This piece should be more than enough to make the outlines.
Probably make it a bit more narrow.
We're going to lay in the pieces this way.
I'll cut down just this piece and have it on the side of the table
so it doesn't heat up too much while I'm not using it.
So for the upper part of the diamond, the outline for the upper part of the diamond,
I'm going to need about the same size that I cut for one triangle.
That should be the size according to the schedule.
And then for the lower part I'm going to need this piece but 50% more.
As you can see we have one, two, three outlines and one triangle was one and two.
So I'm going to have to make a piece that is 150% bigger.
That should do it.
Yes, assembly of the top part of the diamond.
That is one, there's two and number three.
This seems to be fitting exactly as it should.
This seems not to be connecting
but we'll fix that.
Fixing up the corners.
That's one side and the other side.
Oops, now let's see how we did the top part.
That looks good.
This seems to be coming together very nice.
And that's the diamond.
Last but not least, the outside colors.
Two stripes of each color and with a small white pinstripe divide it.
Now for our final layer.
Now this is looking like a diamond.
