Leonardo Iizuka vs Alexis Lebrun | MT - QF | #ITTFWorlds2026

His opponents to hurry up. Wide serve. Excellent first point. Oh, it's outrageous! They're telling me. What a punch! Nobody home. So happy to go away. Oh, just like the first point here. Visual what they're doing. That's French flair. Come off it. Well, he didn't go back for that one. A match away from making it through to the semis where they take on the Chinese. That flick wasn't either Brazilian. Just about got the half. What a flick! He was going across the diagonal. Oh, no. Reverse pendulum serve. Great return. Did it touch? No matter what. Is this the reason why Cotton was put ahead of him in this tie? I think it's a message from the French to Cotton. Now is your time. Show us what you can do. And boy, did he deliver. Alexi's only lost one, right? Leads by four at the first tie break. Retrieval ability. For years and years. I remember they came across to England at a time when Alexi was ranked below what Izuku is now. And they're only 15. No, not really. Power from the macho man. Puffing out his chest at a lap of honour. Wicked play from a European champion. As the Brazilian express ran out of steam. Is that all he'll take? First game. So drop shot, snake shot from Alexi. Oh, my God. Oh, nice feeling from Izuku. Alexi LeBron. No nonsense. It's such a difficult shot to execute. Oh, beautiful from that. Leonardo Izuku. Players using it. It can be used lazily. Execute it perfectly. Yeah. Oh, that's crafty. Merci beaucoup. Leonardo trying a little. You're never going to get out. Expedite with Alexi. Oh, Felix. Excellent. Yeah. Happy with that one as well. Yeah. Beautifully done from Alexi LeBron. France looking likely now to come to the World Championship podium. They made the final two years ago. France have to play them in the semi rather than avoid them until the final. Stunning striking from both of them again. Reminds me of Raquel Nadal. Another fast serve. Even deliberately bouncy. Return. In you go. Oh. Better play from Alexi LeBron. Big shot save from the Frenchman. Five eights. Into that body. Reverse pendulum. Is that it? We're going to get an almighty showdown between France and the 23-time champions, China. Is this going to be it? Is this going to be the weekend that France become world team champions for the first time in history? They've never looked better. Their chances have never looked better. And with this squad right here, a squad so strong that the magic man goes, he can't even make it into the top three.
